I grabbed the arm of the guard and broke his arm as I let out a roar. One look into my eyes and the guards knew to fear me.
I growled a furious growl and they all began to step back in fear.
Then I felt it. A sharp pain in my back. When I looked a reaper had come up and stabbed me with his scythe.
I tried to out a growl of anger but it hurt more than I expected.
When he pulls the scythe out I groan. And fall to the floor. Before my eyes close, I see the reaper get tackled by Damien.
When I came back, I was completely healed. It still hurt kinda and I definitely still felt where I was stabbed. Then it hit me. Where was I?
"You're awake?" Damien asked me. He sat across from me, a few feet away l, with his head hanging low.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, there were.so many guards, I knew we didn't stand a chance.." I started but he interrupts me.
"It's okay, everything is okay, we are here now. Safe." He said in his dark brooding voice.
I then realized he didn't have his shirt on but had it draped over his shoulder exposing his very muscular body.
"How did we get out of there." I asked him. He still hung his head low not saying anything.
"I grabbed you and I fought off those reapers myself. Then we escape and I carried you to this side of town and got my powers about half way."
"How did they know where we were." I asked him solemnly after a moment.
"I don't know, but now I have to protect you. I have my powers and even though my scythe is gone I can still protect you.." he said.
Then I felt this feeling in the pit of my stomach, it was almost like I was grateful that I now had Damien in my life. He understood me.
Even though I pushed him away that one time, I was starting to regret it and right now? I definitely realized I had no reason to.
...
He was quiet majority of the run, as we tried to make our way out of town on foot. We only had to lure them out of the town and kill them.
With Damien being one of the best reapers, and me being an immortal, we had an advantage we couldn't waste.
