Chapter 4 - The Shadow of the Dying Dawn

As this ordinary day ends and a stormy night begins, with anticipated events that will change the course of things in the mansion of Sir Jack Barges, especially after the arrival of guests of honor for a sadistic game unlike the ones they played in their childhood for fun and enjoyment. This time, they will play it for their lives.

The kitchen

It's not a living room if you were shocked by its size or its large space; it's just an ordinary kitchen with a large and long table that you usually find only in wealthy households. It seats twelve people and is made of redwood. You can see Serena and her companions sitting silently, waiting for Alfonzo to serve them dinner, which consists of the most delicious and finest dishes you can only find in high-end restaurants suited for the wealthy. Without mocking his abilities, Alfonzo was the chef for Princess Diana in the Kingdom of Britain.

Meanwhile, Jack broke the silence, saying:

"Alfonso, can we speed up the food preparation? I'm very hungry and can't wait any longer."

Sarah smiled and said:

"Jack, we need to be patient. I know the food will be fantastic."

James added

"I've heard a lot about Alfonso's skills. I believe the wait will be worth it."

Christina responded,

"Yes, that's true. But I can't help feeling a bit anxious. This is my first time tasting food of this caliber."

Everyone chuckled a little and returned to waiting patiently, eager to taste the exquisite cuisine.

Serena looks towards the kitchen entrance, appearing as if she's waiting for someone to arrive, oblivious to what is happening around her. Meanwhile, Alfonso begins serving the food, causing a commotion. The so-called refinement claimed by Western countries vanished the moment the food was placed on the table, as they began eating in a manner so animalistic that it made you question the validity of the theory invented by their ancestors, proclaiming themselves as the founders of civilization.

At that moment, Julia entered the kitchen in a captivating and alluring manner, causing everyone to stop and look at her. James and Jack were so struck by her beauty that they both got up and placed a chair in front of her.

James smiled and said:

"Julia, you've added a touch of beauty to the place with your presence.

"Jack agreed, saying:

"Yes, we didn't expect such beauty. Please, have a seat here."

Suddenly, Sarah spoke angrily to Jack, saying:

"Jack, what the fuck? you have a girlfriend, motherfucker.

"Jack defended himself:

"Sarah,. I just wanted to make her feel welcome.

"James added:

Honestly, I'm just looking for a girlfriend. Julia seems amazing.

"Julia looked at them with disdain and said:

"You're like dogs, just looking for something to fill your emptiness."

Julia walks gracefully towards an empty chair, showcasing her attractive figure and enchanting beauty, prompting James and Jack to rush to her aid to help her sit down."

Jack:

Do you need help, Julia?

Julia (smiling):

Yes, thank you very much, Jack.

James:

I'm here, at your services.

That action forced Sarah to stand up as she turned towards Jack with that angry look with hatred shining in her hazel eyes and then slapped Jack as hard as she spoke

I hope it suits you, motherfucker

Then she walks away no  paying attention infront of her , until she was hiting a wide and huge chest, which knocked her out falling to the ground while she was talking

Look in front of you, motherfucker

But as soon as she raised her head, her facial features changed and turned yellow, and she began to stutter from the intensity of fear after she saw a mountain in front of her, towering from the intensity of its size and strength, as well as his strong personality, which brought terror into her heart with lightning speed, and he said

What did you say

She reacted to him out of sheer fear

I didn't say anything, but I was welcoming you with us

Then she stood and approached him  surprising everyone and grabbing him by the arm and speaks

Oh, you're so attractive, I don't think you have a girlfriend

Before she finished speaking, Serena threw a plastic cup at her, which hit her in the head, causing her to turn towards her, saying

What's wrong with you, bitch

Then she tried to walk with that stranger, but he stopped, gently raised his head, then immobilized with those piercing glances, and he spoke sternly

If you talk to her that way

I'll bury you alive

Then Jack uttered a sarcastic

It seems that a moron has found a lover, and apparently he is as strange as her

While he was laughing  at him, the Arab surprised them after he threw a wooden chair in front of him with lightning speed that no one expected, I dropped him to the ground, broke his nose, then he tried to play the role of hero and came forward to challenge him, but he was shocked by the reality when he lifted him by the neck

I despise you, your type in prison they become whores , you are not a man, maybe a male, but manhood you do not have

Then he threw it so hard that it hit the kitchen wall, showing his strength until Alfonzo dropped the tray from his hands and then ran towards his lady screaming

Christina paces nervously, glancing at James.

Christina:

"James, did you see what he did? It's terrifying. How can someone have that much power?"

James looks shaken, nodding in agreement.

James:

"I know, Christina. It's like he's not even human. We have to be careful around him."

Sarah joins them, her face pale with fear.

Sarah:

"Are you talking about him? I heard he can control minds. What if he uses his power on us?"

Jenny, visibly frightened, clutches her hands together.

Jenny:

"I can't believe it either. How can we possibly defend ourselves against someone like that?"

Serena walks in, her expression calm and serene. She smiles warmly.

Serena:

"You all worry too much. He's not a threat to us."

Christina frowns, clearly confused.

"Serena

Christina:

how can you say that? He's dangerous!"

Serena shakes her head, still smiling.

Serena:

"No, he's not. He's my love, my only lover. He's done so much for me. You just need to understand him."

James looks incredulous.

James:

"Serena, are you serious? How can you trust him?"

Serena's eyes soften as she speaks.

"Because I've seen his heart. He's not what you think. Trust me, he's here to protect us, not harm us."

Jenny hesitates, looking between Serena and the others.

Jenny:

"Maybe Serena's right. Maybe we don't know the whole story."

Sarah remains skeptical, crossing her arms.

Sarah:

"I don't know. I just hope you're right, Serena. For all our sakes."

Without warning, a strong laughter echoed through the corners of the place, resonating with an insidious, classic character that held many mysterious secrets and intentions that did not bode well. Then she spoke, saying:

Georgia's voice carries a hint of excitement and admiration as she addresses the Arab.

"You know, this is going to be the best game of hide-and-seek we've ever played. Your approach, your strategy—it's truly masterful."

His eyes glint with a mixture of amusement and something darker, his voice smooth and enigmatic.

The Arab:

"Ah, Georgia, you flatter me. But remember, this game has rules. And those who stray too far may never find their way back."

*Turning to the others, her voice firm yet inviting.

Georgia:

Stay close to him, everyone. Trust me, you'll want to be near him. If you move away, you might not be able to return."

Still wary, she whispers to James.

Christina:

"Do you think we can trust her? Or him?"

Keeping his eyes on the Arab, his voice low.

James:

I don't know, but we don't have much choice. We stick together.

Hesitating, she looks at Serena, seeking reassurance.

Sarah:

"Serena, are you sure you want to trust him ?"

Smiling confidently, she nods.

Serena:

"Yes, stay with us. You'll see, he's not as bad as you think."

With a mix of fear and curiosity, she steps closer to Georgia and the Arab.

Jenny:

"I hope you're right

His laughter again fills the room, echoing with hidden meanings.

The Arab:

"Let the game begin."
