Casey woke up the next morning feeling more in control. Yesterday he just felt that he was running on autopilot. Everything was a blur to him.
Casey got up and went to clean himself up so he could have some resemblance of a normal life.
After cleaning himself up he went towards the kitchen to grab something to eat. He was gonna be busy today. He would have to email his teachers and university about taking a longer break. Then call Sunnys lawyer to know her will and just what to do in general.
Casey went in the fridge and ssw a bowl with a note on it. He read the notes and felt like crying again.
It was from grace. [Casey you're not alone. You have me and Kevin. Sunny will be just fine, she'll come bakc strong than ever. -Love Grace].
Casey wiped his tears and took the food. It was his favorite. Rice with beans and chicken sauce.
Sometimes the best thing one can do is just eat to fill your stomach to feel a little better. Well, that's how it is with Casey.
Finally after eating Casey felt like he had enough strength to call the people he needed to. He had to call Kevin and Grace to let them know the news.
He went to sit on the couch and started calling Kevin.
"Hey what's up?" Kevin said over the phone.
"Um, I don't even know how to start. Is your mom here?" Casey said dryly.
"Yeah she here? Do you want me to put you on speaker?" Kevin asked with a confused tone.
"Yeah that'd be great." Casey responded.
"Alr you're on" Kevin said.
"So, they said she didn't- " Casey started sobbing before he could finish.
"No? No! How? She just fainted right? Surely she'll be okay." Kevin said with tears rolling down his face. Casey could hear Grace crying in the background. He felt so guilty he didn't tell them earlier.
"Yeah, they said from a heart attack? I'm not even sure. They tried emergency surgery and couldn't save her. I'm sorry." Casey said.
Casey ended the call and went to his room. On the corner of the bed was the teddy bear Kevin got him after the kidnapping incident.
He threw himself on the bed and gave the teddy bear a hug. The day barely started and he already felt drained and tired.
He didn't want to feel that way, he knew that Sunny would want him to be up and productive, but he just can't. Just feeling that he's disappointing Sunny makes him feel even worse. He knows at some point he'll probably have to get a therapist or find a way to deal with his emotions healthily.
Right now Casey just wants to lay down with his teddy bear in silence. At least for a few minutes before he continues what he has to do.
A few moments later Casey heard knocking at the door. Casey let out a huge sigh and went towards the door.
He looked out the peep hole and saw a blonde tall man with a black suit outside the door. He propped the door open slightly and greeted the man.
"Good morning, sorry to bother you but are you Sunnys son?" The man in the suit asked.
"Yes I am. Are you perhaps Mr. Waltz?" Casey replied.
"Yes. I am here reguarding her will. I got a message earlier this morning of Sunnys unfortunate death. I'm very sorry." Mr. Waltz said.
"Oh, thank you. Come in and have a seat." Casey said and showed him towards the living room.
Mr. Waltz sat down and gave Casey a folder containing Sunnys will.
Casey took the folder and took out the will to read it.

If you're reading this that means I'm dead. I'm giving you all of my assets and money. I've also set aside a seperate account that should have millions by now just for you to use. Please use it wisely. I'm sorry I couldn't stay with you longer. I always knew this day was coming. I hope that at my last moments, I at least spent it with you. You were the best thing that happened to me. Also I left you a key to a secret compartment in my room. Please go to it immediately after youve read this.
