Immediately after leaving the office, Scott went home following his meeting with Mr. Lin Yu.
Michael and Thomas were talking about politics when Thomas mentioned to Michael that he would be coming back home from the States, where they had stayed for a long time. Michael responded.
"Wow, that's good, so they can come back to their father's house."
Scott, on the other hand, had a deadly mission to fulfill. He went home to prepare for his next assignment.
Late at night, he dressed in dark clothing and headed out. This time, his target was heavily secured by gunmen, making the mission more challenging.
The house was guarded by four men at the front, six inside, and four at the entrance to the target's room, where the target was enjoying the company of some ladies.
Scott's strategy was to remain silent. His planned entry was blocked, making the mission frustrating, but he couldn't give up. He moved to the back of the house, took out his gun, attached a silencer, and snuck in.
Two guards inside the house went to the kitchen for food. Seizing the opportunity, Scott shot one guard in the head and stabbed the other in the neck with his dagger.
He quickly moved upstairs without being noticed by the other guards. On the first floor, he found a sniper rifle.
Realizing that killing the four guards near the target's room would jeopardize his mission, he exited the house and climbed to the top of a nearby building.
From there, he set up the sniper rifle to get a clear shot.
As the target was enjoying himself, Scott made a call.
When the target answered, Scott said, "Hello, I would love to partner with you through death." Furious and confused, the target stood up and asked what Scott was talking about.
Scott instructed him to come to the window. Unsuspecting, the target approached, and Scott shot him through the forehead, the bullet piercing the glass.
He fired another shot to the target's chest, causing him to fall to the ground as the women in the room screamed.
The guards, alerted by the noise, rushed into the room as the women ran out.
They found the target on the floor. The chief guard deduced that a sniper had killed him.
Meanwhile, Scott had already left the area. The chief guard realized the shots came from the neighboring building and sent men to investigate.
They found their sniper rifle on the rooftop, but Scott was gone. Reporting back, they said, "Sir, he used our own gun to kill him."
The chief guard remarked, "This was a well-trained assassin. He took us by surprise, killed two of our guards without detection, and used our gun to kill the boss."
When the police arrived to investigate, they concluded that the killer was not just any person but a highly skilled assassin, surprising everyone with his ability to overpower the guards.
The police began their investigation, securing the crime scene and collecting evidence. They found the sniper rifle on the rooftop of the neighboring building and noted its unique modifications, confirming that they were dealing with a professional.
Meanwhile, Scott returned to his apartment, blending into the shadows as he made his way through the city.
He changed his clothes, washed off any evidence of the mission, and meticulously cleaned his weapons.
The next morning, Scott received a message on his encrypted phone: "Mission accomplished. Await further instructions."
Mr. Lin Yu called him, saying, "You have to execute the second mission immediately." Scott refused, telling him that the feds were on his tail, so he had to lie low for the moment.
But Mr. Lin Yu insisted on him carrying out the mission immediately.
Back at the crime scene, Detective Olivia Martinez was assigned to lead the investigation. Known for her sharp mind and relentless pursuit of justice, she quickly pieced together the events leading up to the assassination.
She interviewed the guards, reviewed the surveillance footage, and analyzed the trajectory of the sniper shots.
"This assassin knew exactly what he was doing," Olivia remarked to her team. "He used the guards' own weapons against them and executed the hit with precision. This wasn't his first job."
Scott, now fully aware that the authorities were on high alert, decided to lie low for a while. He maintained a low profile, avoiding any activities that might draw attention to himself.
Days turned into weeks, and the investigation seemed to hit a dead end. Olivia, however, refused to give up. She had a gut feeling that there was more to the story. Late one night, while reviewing the case files, she noticed a pattern in the recent assassinations. Each hit had been carried out with a similar level of precision and left behind minimal evidence.
"These hits are connected," Olivia muttered to herself. "We're dealing with a single assassin or a highly coordinated group."
Determined to catch the killer, Olivia decided to set a trap. She leaked information about a high-profile target to the media, hoping to lure the assassin out of hiding. The bait was a wealthy businessman with ties to organized crime, making him a prime target.
Scott, always vigilant, picked up on the news. He recognized it as a potential setup but couldn't resist the challenge. He began gathering intelligence on the target, planning his approach with meticulous detail.
On the night of the planned assassination, Olivia and her team were in position, ready to catch the assassin in the act. The target's mansion was heavily guarded, and snipers were stationed on nearby rooftops.
When Scott approached his mission point, he sensed something was wrong.
Scott, undeterred, approached the mansion from an unexpected angle. He used a series of underground tunnels to bypass the outer defenses and emerged inside the property. He moved silently, neutralizing guards with swift precision.
As he approached the target's room, he sensed something was off. The air was thick with tension. Suddenly, Olivia and her team sprung their trap, surrounding Scott.
"Drop your weapon!" Olivia commanded.
Scott, realizing he was cornered, considered his options. With no escape route, he decided to surrender, but with them not knowing his next move.
Immediately, an officer decided to handcuff and escort him out. Scott locked eyes with Olivia. "Impressive setup," he said. "But this isn't over." He grabbed the officer by the neck, placing a gun to his head.
Olivia watched as he was taken away, using the officer as a shield. She knew the battle had just begun. She thought catching the assassin would be better for everyone, but she didn't realize Scott had a great will to live.
Unraveling the full extent of his operations would be a long and dangerous journey.
Scott, using the officer as a human shield, edged toward the exit. The tension was palpable as Olivia and her team watched, unable to make a move without risking the officer's life.
Scott's mind was racing, calculating every possible escape route. He knew he couldn't hold this position for long.
