The muted hum of the city filled the air as Kaijin and Justice walked side by side down the dimly lit street. The faint glow of streetlights reflected off puddles from an earlier drizzle, creating scattered pools of light in the darkness. Despite the quiet, Kaijin's steps were calm and measured, while Justice's were restless, a testament to his impatience.
"Why must I walk when I can just zoom off?" Justice groaned, throwing his arms in the air dramatically.
Kaijin smirked, barely glancing at him. "Because I'm paying for the food. And didn't you have something you wanted to say to me?"
Justice's confident stride faltered slightly. "Oh…yeah," he muttered, his usual bravado slipping away. He hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath. "I wanted to say I'm sorry."
Kaijin raised an eyebrow, curious but unmoved. "Sorry for what?"
Justice looked away, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm sorry for everything," he mumbled, his words barely audible.
