Chapter 27 - Ryuu Kyushishu

"And this young prodigy, Ryuu Kyu.."

The Elite Master tried to pronounce the last name of the young man who only shew a smile.

Simultaneously, another group of students appeared in front of the pale gate, each with their Elite masters.

Ryuu scanned the class of students as soon as they appeared, ignoring their diverse uniforms, which were stained with dried blood.

He easily saw through the darkness with eyes that stood bounds above every other human, observing through their looks.

And finally, he found a rather interesting piece - a bulky teenager with huge glossy eyes, adorned in an English cloth that withheld his extreme fitness.

'Won't let this one slip away.'

He memorized the boys stunning detail like an image being captured by a camera. And thank full, the boys outstanding blue hair made it easier.

While endorsed in his tyrannical gaze, Ryuu didn't realize when the principal began to brief the batch of what at happened, while also welcoming them back to the academy.

The sky was getting pitch dark, and the Elite Masters had to make the students gather around, while resorting to marking their position amongst the other teachers.

Ryuu ended up joining his mates in the mage class, one with raised cheek, and the other three totally sullied.

Later on, they proceeded to announce his entry into the academy, and then the desertion of the student named Acer Pierce.

'Acer huh!'

Ryuu's mind traced back to the boy he'd encountered while being chased.

He still remembered how scared and disheveled the kid was... The shame of being found out must have been traumatic for him.

But he didn't lay on the matter for long, quickly redirecting his mind into his own mission.

While the Elite Master, like a lab doctor made it clear that he could only be an asset used against the Luxol...towards a war certain to end humanity, he had other thoughts of his own.

One of his purpose for deceit already stood inches in front of his eyes - an Akuma demon he'd been haunting from the far East of Invaded Earth.

A clean unsheathing of his katana could end it all, but he knew that would have been the craziest decision to make.

A cunning demon, from the descent of Akuma could only be slayed with tactic and equal intellect.

And while the monster remained absolutely calm in its cascade of human flesh, it could have gave him second thoughts of his declaration.

But unfortunately, Ryuu Kyushishu at his inhuman nature could perceive demon folks miles away by their constant stench, a layer of rotten flesh and aged blood, that they could decide to subdue or release at pleasure.

'You won't last another night, Akuma!'

Dangerously gazing at the latter, he still had to refer to him as an Akuma...though, it had an identity of its own.

Then he felt a stare directed at him.

It was from the unhidden brown eyes of the student they called Adam Coe, a risky frown plaguing the fineness of his face.

"What?"

Ryuu wouldn't just sit and watch a low-class human such as Adam stare at him with such eyes.

If the lad wanted a fight, it would have been best if it happened sooner, at least to set the hierarchy between them.

Adam remained silent in his stare, probably lost in a cave of thoughts.

Ryuu turned away with a slight sigh, with the few days he'd planned to spend in the academy, he and Adam must have eventually clashed.

The meeting did not last long before the students were dismissed into their various dormitory, and Ryuu was escorted into one of them.

It was a shared room meant to serve as a one-time hangover prelude to his orientation.

The average room painted of a vibrant blue color and random graffiti easily introduced its users as a bunch of maniac and playful bunch.

The purple matted floor was littered with old clothes and paper bags.

Placed at direct opposition with the moonlight that penetrated the room, two bunk bed were fixed to the ground.

"Yo! So you're the new roomie." A student called at him, sitting amidst a circle of three other guys.

Ryuu wanted to get offended over the disdainful condition of the room, but at the end, he realized he would only have to manage it through the night.

"You're stocked bro." Another cooed at his custom cloth that was actually a protection from the cold he always felt.

All four lads stood on their feet, approaching him to show their best manners.

Individually that shook hands with the latter, ignoring the irritation that burdened his eyes - Lance, Fred, Roman, and Cole.

With their distinctive pajamas and looks, Ryuu marked out the personality of each students.

Using one word, he could have described them as carefree teenage students who knew nothing above their experience in the academy.

All except Cole, the tall and lively student whose black-eyes stood as a remarkable feat to his appearance.

Sure, he was the uglier of them, but his innate aura, burning like wildfire before Ryuu's gaze made him differentiated.

"Cole! What's your ability...or abilities?" Ryuu ended up spewing his thoughts out the the lad who had went ahead to hold a discussion with his mates.

The student stared at him, almost unfazed by the sudden question, "An inquisitive one, ehnn?"

Cole even laughed a little, gazing at eye contact with his questioner, "It's called Umbral Surge! And it's really dark, so I have things such as eye burns, black eyes...the whole facial distortion you see. You just name it!"

The lad ignored Ryuu once again, returning to his noisy conversation with his dorm mates.

But the lad remained inquisitive of whatever Cole had inside him. His blessed senses perceived such formidable energy like an atomic bomb that was safely being hidden inside the latter.

But he just couldn't figure it out.

If that seal of formidable aura only arose from the Umbral Surge, then the skill must had been one overpowered class.

Still gazing at the lad, an horrible stench suddenly whiffed past his nose, trailing out of his window into an unknown path.

'Akuma!'

If the demon made things easy for him at one shot, probably he could leave the academy first thing tomorrow.

"Can you guys excuse me for a bit." His hands were braced on the knob of the door as he spoke to his dorm mates.

"Bro! It's curfew hours already."

"Just try not to get caught."

Ryuu nodded as launched out of the room, cutting through the air like a bullet as a gust of wind gather at the dormitory.

"Hump! Seems like his ability is something like a speedster."

Cole nodded, watching at the door slowly closed itself and the gist of wind settle, "Plus I think majority of his power might come from that sword. The mana around it is damn pure."

A minor discussion processed forward between the mates as they finally buried the event of the young man dashing out like that.

What ever it was, as far as they kept their nose off it, it wasn't their business the lightest.
