Chereads / You Call This Good Luck? / Chapter 13 - Inevitable Destiny

Chapter 13 - Inevitable Destiny

Looking at the beautiful white flower in his hand that was glowing softly, Heizen was dumbfounded.

If his guess was correct, he somehow ended up with his chance through uncertain circumstances.

"System, what is going on?" Heizen asked in trepidation. He was beginning to get scared for some reason.

[Ding!]

[Host's Good Luck is off the charts.]

[Your fate is such, that you will get your chances without actively pursuing them.]

[Don't worry host, this "Good Luck System" will make sure you will get every single one of them without worry.]

Heizen didn't know why, it seemed like the cold robotic voice seemed to be warning him instead.

"Well, it must be a coincidence. I was quite close to this direction when running." Heizen could only console himself like this.

Once he calmed down, he looked at his surroundings. He was currently at the side of a large lake. Many small Moonflowers surround the entire lake.

"This place must look quite beautiful at night." Heizen thought.

"But why is it so quiet?"

The wolf that attacked him was also nowhere to be seen.

He just had a bad premonition when he saw a small island at the center of the lake.

A majestic white wolf with a fierce aura was looking directly towards him. The size was two times the one that was chasing after him.

[Name: Moonwolf]

[Race: Wolf]

[Level: 20]

[Potential: 4 Star]

[Skills: Soul slash, Moonwalk, Night Walker]

Heizen was petrified after seeing the level. He didn't pay attention to any other details.

"Shit, shit, fucking luck." He cursed.

The unintentional aura emitting from the distance had already told him of his predicament.

However, seeing that the monster was only looking at him from a distance, he quickly asked the system to add all his attributes to agility.

What else could he do now besides running?

Heizen put the Moonflower he had picked in the ring and ran for his life with his sword.

The sound of the System kept ringing in his mind but he was in no mood to pay attention.

While Heizen was running, he didn't see that the Life Seal on his arm was glowing with green light.

The huge claw mark on his arm was healing rapidly.

The Moonwolf in the middle of the lake only looked in the direction Heizen was running for a while before quietly returning to its cave.

****

After running for a quarter of an hour at the fastest speed, Heizen finally stopped to take a rest.

"Hah, hah, damn it." He was extremely frustrated.

Instead of being a hero wielding swords and fighting everywhere, he was like a running mouse.

There was not a day when he wasn't running for his life.

[Ding!]

[Your agility value has increased to 22.]

[Congratulations, you awakened two skills.]

[Passive skill-Runner:

Your speed is permanently doubled. However, be careful of your stamina.]

[Active Skill-Ghost Step:

You can increase your speed three-fold for 1 minute. During the skill duration, you can be as silent as an Assassin with no footsteps.]

"Great, now I can run even faster."

Heizen didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

However, this time he fell into a pit without warning. After entering the forest, he avoided all the pitfalls of the system.

But somehow, he ended up getting the Moonflower and almost got hacked.

"Thank god that monster didn't show any interest in me, otherwise, I would be dead for sure." Heizen thought while scratching his itchy arm.

"Oh?" He now remembered that his arm was injured by that blow.

However, he saw that the wound had already healed. Only a few marks were visible that too were rapidly fading from his arm.

"Hmm, it seems the Life Seal can also heal the injuries and poison. However, you should use less of it if possible."

After all, he didn't want to lose a resurrection chance for no reason.

After resting for a while, he walked outside of the forest.

While Heizen was on the way, his team had already arrived outside of the Forbidden Forest.

Due to Bernard and Bowen, they didn't encounter much risk and safely exited the forest.

"I hope Heizen isn't in any danger,"

Bernard said with a solemn look. He was supposed to safely escort the team and this happened again.

"Don't worry, his speed is very fast. He can run even if he cannot fight."

Sarah replied. She has personally experienced his speed so she wasn't that nervous.

But when she thought of something, her cheek turned slightly red which went unnoticed.

"I hope so."

After the team waited for half an hour, finally they saw Heizen coming outside of the forest.

"Why are you so late?" Sarah asked after he came close.

They almost thought something happened to him. Bernard was already planning to go inside for a search.

"Haha, I encountered something and went astray." Heizen laughed it off.

He was actually on the way, but then he thought of two extra notifications from the system. He had ignored them before.

So, he went to a great length to find them and ran using his new skill. He didn't even look back once.

He was safe for now. Heizen sighed at his fate.

This inevitable destiny and crap system had been hellbent on making him rich, what could he do?

"Ok, it's good you are safe. Let's head back to the town first." Bernard said and everyone walked back. Though there were some twists and turns, their goal had been achieved.

By the time they returned to the Ravenwood Town, it was already dawn.

After having dinner at a restaurant, they all walked to their home.

Heizen also made an appointment with Sarah and Sophie to help him introduce the Sirus Mage Academy.

Another day, after a pleasant sleep and a warm breakfast, Heizen walked towards the center of the town.

The center of the Ravenwood town was enclosed with another wall. You needed an identity just to enter inside.

However, you either must be rich or someone with status to live comfortably.

Heizen also saw the difference between the roads, shops, inns, and houses. The inner town seemed more tidy and in order.

After stumbling around, Heizen arrived at the gate of the huge building with large characters at the front- Sirus Mage Academy.

According to Sarah, this Academy was built by Archmage Sirus before the advent of the fallen realm. From then, it had stood tall on this Frostwind Continent for countless years.

While Heizen was marveling at the huge ancient structure, he suddenly heard a commotion from the gate.
