Chapter 64 - Last Thoughts...

A large feline beats jumps from behind one of the bushes dotted throughout the camp. As they watch in horror, it grabs one if their nearest comrades, before slicing them into two. The leader recognises who it was.

The creature looked just like the beast that was brought to the young master by A109, except much bigger. It recognised that the creature must have followed them back to the camp, either by scent or sound. Their scalps shivered in horror, as the creature slowly turned its head towards it.

Meooooowww!

A sudden cry rang through the air. Their blood froze, as the feline turned its towards the source of the noise.

The central tent.

The leader immediately started running, desperately hoping, praying, that it can reach the tent in time, the young master cannot be injured in any way or dorm whatsoever. It owed the boys mother far too much.

Meanwhile, A109, after witnessing the arrival of the east, scampered away in the opposite direction. He knew that whatever it was, after it had dealt with that obnoxious brat, it would inevitably come for him. After all, he did take the small bastard away from the blasted nest. He hoped that they would obstruct it long enough so that he could get away.

Nothing mattered more than his life anyway.

Just as the leader approached the tent, the feline beast immediately leapt up, pouncing on the tent. It ripped open the fabric, clamouring it's way in.

High pitched screams rang across the camp, chilling the leader's heart. It knew that it had failed.

But it still hoped that it would be able to reach in time to save the young master. It fervently prayed that the young master would hide away in the cupboard, shielding itself from the wrath of the beast. Suddenly the tent collapsed on itself.

One small bundle, and one large misshapen creature, is seen moving across the fallen tent, each in separate direction. The leader sighed in relief.

The young master had survived.

Just as it sighed on relief, its joy quickly turned to horror as it realised that the young cub longer breathed, its body covered in horrific slashes and gouges, as it was tortured to death. The adult feline, nothing this, cried in extreme sorrow, teats floddingbtbe area, before turning its attention towards the young fae.

Face turning paler, it clenched its fists, before running across the field, and jumping into the fray. It launched a flurry of punches, each imbued in a reddish hue, causing burn marks to appear on the creatures back. Yowling in pain, the creature, diverted from its intended target, turned its attention to the leader, attacking it instead.

Feeling the feline's attention no longer on itself, the young master ran, and ran, and ran. He ran until he no longer saw his camp, only shudders impacting the trees surrounding him. He ran until he no longer smelt the aroma of the food being cooked at camp, only the raw pungent odor of blood.

He ran until he felt he was far away from the creature, safe as it can be.

Just as he settled underneath one of the trees present, he ruminate on what happened to him.

Curse that damn A109, why did he jave to bring that cub. Curse that damn creature, all I did was act as what was intended as the owner and the winner of the hunt...

Just as he sat underneath the tree, raging at all that had irked him today, he did not notice the long, thick vines coming down from the trees. He did not notice it injecting thin spikes into his skin, injecting him with paralysing poison, numbing him. He did not realise that he was being tied up, until it was too late.

By the time he found out, he was already in the beasts stomach, slowly being digested. Panicking, he remembered that he had that spell, given to him by one of his elders, which allows him to control plant-like beats into doing his bidding.

Yet what he did not know was that in the ruins, any and all spells are affected to some extent. This is not visible when conjuring physical attacks, but in mental ones, that's a completely different story.

Just as he succeeded into manipulating the beats into his bidding, he quickly realised that he was being merged into one with it. No, no, no, this can't be happening to me. I am supposed to be the next leader of our generation, how can I fail, HOW CAN I FAIL!

Just as he finally lost all rationality, he, now combined with the beast, picked up a peculiar scent.

The scent carried traces of motor oil, metal, and most importantly, the sickening stench of... trash.

I... SmElL... YOu... SnoZZLINgeR...
