Zervini chased after the faint shadow ahead, running until she was breathless. However, at the next intersection, she saw two people grappling with each other.
She leaned on her knees, panting heavily, anxiously watching as one person struggled with a thief over her bag. Finally, the thief, unable to overpower the other, gave up the bag and fled.
The person holding the bag walked up to Zervini, and she widened her eyes in surprise, "Lucas?"
Lucas forced a smile, wincing slightly at the pain from his injuries but still managing to grin, "Here's your bag. Let's see if anything's missing…"
Zervini took the bag, did a quick check, shook her head at him, and looked worriedly at his wounds, "How are you? Does it hurt a lot? You should go to the hospital…"
"It's nothing, just a minor injury…" Lucas refused, but Zervini was still uneasy and insisted on taking him to the hospital.
