Xiahou Maoqing had not left long when the old butler returned with the guest.
Upon seeing this, Xiahou Yi felt compelled to invite the guest to stay for dinner.
"Maoqing just sent over two chickens. Have the kitchen prepare them and invite Marshal Deng to stay for dinner tonight," Xiahou Yi said.
"Yes, General," the old butler immediately agreed.
However, when he went to the kitchen, he found the two chickens had already disappeared. Upon asking the servants, they said the chickens were originally in the cage but had somehow vanished.
