Sheng Shushu glanced at the box on the floor.
She watched as Xiao Yu sent the person away but still hadn't figured out what all this was about.
When Xiao Yu closed the door, she finally asked, "What is it?"
Xiao Yu nodded, "Shoes, want to try them?"
Sheng Shushu was puzzled; she wasn't in need of shoes.
"Sit there," Xiao Yu gestured towards a stool for changing shoes, asking her to sit down.
Sheng Shushu had wanted to say she was tired and wanted to rest, but Xiao Yu pressed her shoulders down, making her sit.
He, without any hesitation, knelt down on one knee.
In that moment, some of Sheng Shushu's defenses broke down.
She seldom saw Xiao Yu in such a posture, not even during his proposal; how could she remain unmoved?
