Sophie and Lisa were standing in front of the door of the cabin with horror in their eyes as they saw a boy, standing in the middle of the cabin. Sophie and Lisa both stepped back as the boy stepped forward.
"I thought you said you did it for your family," Sophie said in fear but didn't show it.
"Oh? Well, I did, but I then realised why not use it to my advantage here, to feed my hunger," Kyle said moving forward.
"So it was your plan all along. You lured us here, as your prey, and when we were insecure, you would have done the same thing to us, as you did to them," Lisa said in rage as she pointed to the door.
"Yep, but unfortunately, you discovered my secret," Kyle said with disappointment.
"Where did you go when you left us?" Sophie asked as they both stopped at the front door.
"Oh, nowhere, just went to get my strength, because I wasn't expecting you two to be mutants," He implied, "Well too bad, we are," Lisa said in anger. Kyle sighed "Yeah, but now, you will be my dinner," he said smirking.
He then transformed into a wild beast with brown hair and sharp teeth with green cat eyes. He then roared like a lion and Sophie and Lisa ran out. He started chasing them, and they both ran into the forest trying to dodge him. But wherever they turn, he would find them.
Lisa had enough and she transformed into the alien and started fighting. Sophie also joined in and they both started fighting the beast. Lisa tried to hold his arm but he was just so strong, that he gripped Lisa's monster arm and threw her to a tree, her back hit the tree and she fell, causing her pain and she was not able to get up.
"Lisa!" Sophie exclaimed as she saw her lying down.
The beast quickly jumped on Sophie, but she dodged him. She ran as fast as she could jumped into a bush and covered herself with roses, which made the beast unable to scent her. He then went the other and Sophie came out of the bush and quickly went to Lisa. She saw Lisa still trying to get up. She went to her and helped her.
"Lisa, Lisa, are you ok?" Sophie asked concerned. "Yeah I am fine, we need to stop him," Lisa grunted in pain while holding her rib.
"How?" Sophie asked as she helped Lisa get up. "We have to kill him," Lisa implied.
"What, are you insane?" Sophie exclaimed. "It's the only way," Lisa said.
"Lisa, even though he is a beast he is still a human being," Sophie said, disagreeing with Lisa.
"We can't do anything..... look out!" Lisa exclaimed as she suddenly pushed Sophie away as the beast was about to jump on her.
Lisa stood up and started fighting again. Sophie knew Lisa would kill him but she started looking around, and to her surprise, she saw a wire, she followed the wire and saw an electricity transfer. She then had an idea. Lisa was still fighting, and the beast ran towards her.
"Hey, Kyle," Sophie shouted from the back. Kyle turned around to see Sophie standing, she was a little far from him.
"You wanna a piece of me, then come and get me," She shouted, turned around, and started running, the beast chased after her, he saw her turn a corner and he followed. He saw a lake and Sophie was standing on the edge of the water and her hands were behind her. He jumped towards her but Sophie dodged him, causing him to fall into the lake and she ran a little far away from the water. Kyle then saw Sophie's hand as she was using her power to levitate wires, he was confused.
"Nighty Night. Kitty," she said, smirking. She quickly brought the 2 wires together, which caused an electricity spark that went toward Kyle and shocked him, causing him to be unconscious. Sophie then saw he was unconscious, she quickly ran to Lisa's side and saw her lying on the ground.
"Lisa!" She said as she ran to her, She helped her get up. "He is unconscious, come on, we have to move before he gets conscious," she said,
Lisa tried her best to get up, but there was still pain in her spine. Sophie quickly held her and helped her. "Are you ok?" She asked, concerned. "Ah....i.....I am fine. It's just a minor pain," Lisa assured Sophie.
"If you can't tolerate it, you can rest," Sophie offered. "No, we have to keep moving. I am fine, honest," Lisa reassured Sophie.
Sophie was still concerned, but she agreed and both of them went ahead. They went on for 5 hours which felt like days, they came across a lake and decided to rest and drink. They went to the lake and drank the water to cure their thirst.
"How much longer will it take, it's almost sunset," Sophie said while checking her bag.
"I don't know, why don't you check the map?" Lisa said but was still drinking.
Sophie then started looking at the map. As Sophie scanned through it, Lisa got up and started to look around. She stopped and saw something in the distance and was surprised. Sophie had a puzzled look as she looked through the map. "Wait a second there is no river here, it's like the opposite side."
"Sophie," Lisa said while still looking at the distance. "Hold on Lisa," Sophie said, still looking at the map.
"Sophie!" Lisa called loudly. "What is it?" Sophie said as she looked at her.
Lisa turned Sophie's head forward, Sophie was still squatting so when she stood up she saw the Terrain Village.
"There it is," Sophie said. "But wait, why is it not on the map....." she said confused while looking at the map and then realised, "Oh, I was holding it upside down." Lisa giggled at Sophie's stupidity.
"What?" Sophie said embarrassed. "Nothing. let's go." Lisa said.
They headed towards the village. They saw a big arch that was like a gate, it was night time and as they entered they saw lighting everywhere, like on the houses, shop, and all. The Village looked so peaceful and suddenly Sophie saw a girl putting up a lantern and then she used her hand to light it.
"Lisa look," she said as she pointed toward the girl. "There are mutants here too," Lisa said as she looked at the girl.
They both went forward and saw a man selling freshly baked bread. Both of their bellies growled as they saw the bread. The man saw them and said, "Have some."
"Um, no thank you, we don't have the currency," Sophie said. "What, no it's for free," The baker implied.
"Free????" Lisa was surprised but didn't show it.
"Yes, all these preparations are for our blue moon," The baker said. "Oh like a festival or something?" Sophie asked. "Yes my dear, so please have some," The baker replied.
Sophie and Lisa both took one piece of bread, "Thank you, sir," Sophie said. "My pleasure," The baker said.
Sophie and Lisa thanked the man and started walking again. "That was nice of him," Lisa implied.
"Not everybody in this world is bad, OK?" Sophie said, looking at her.
Lisa nodded. As they both finished their bread, they heard a voice coming from an alley on their left side.
"If you don't, you will regret it," A man said. "How dare you talk to your elder like that?" A woman's voice came after.
Sophie and Lisa turned to the alley and saw 4 thugs surrounding 2 women, a woman who looked in her 20s, had Orange hair in a ponytail, and was wearing a green dress with a white apron that started from her waist and end at to her knees and a woman in her late 60s, she had white hair in a bun style and was wearing an old traditional gown, like Chinese.
"Please try to understand, child, we need this money," The old woman said in her old creek voice. "Why you.....", one of the thugs said as he was about to beat them up.
"STOP!" Sophie shouted. The thugs turned around to see 2 girls. "Get lost," The thug warned. "Leave those ladies alone," Lisa yelled.
"Oh yeah," all the thugs turned towards them. "And what are you gonna do about that? You and what army?"
The thugs started laughing. Sophie and Lisa looked and each other, smiled, and smirked at the thugs. A little later, the thugs were thrown out of the alley and they started feeling scared. Sophie and Lisa came out of the alley with the other ladies and went towards them.
"Now you get lost," Lisa said with a dead expression. The thugs got up and ran away within seconds. The ladies came towards Sophie and Lisa.
"Bless you, children," said the old woman. "Yes, thank you so much," The younger woman said. "No, it's ok," Lisa said smiling.
"We are happy we can help. But sorry we have to go now," Sophie implied.
"But where, child?" The old woman asked, concerned. "Oh um. We were just headed for the mountains," Lisa implied. "Oh dear, at this hour?" The woman inquired worriedly. "Um? Yes?" Sophie said, nervously.
"No, child it's too perilous out there, you should go in the morning," The old lady warned. "But, we don't have a place to stay," Sophie implied.
"Don't worry, you can stay at our hotel," The woman offered. "You own a hotel?" Lisa asked, surprised. "Well, it's my father's," The ginger head lady disclosed.
"Oh. But we don't have the currency, how can we pay you?" Lisa questioned. "Who said you will pay?" The old lady retorted.
Sophie and Lisa looked at each other in confusion. "You saved our lives and that's enough for us," The old lady said, giving them a warm smile. "Yes, it's the least we can do," The woman added.
"Why, thank you so much," Sophie expressed her gratitude. They both followed the ladies to the hotel. They gave them a room and something to eat. Sophie and Lisa were both grateful and then headed to sleep.
Sophie lay on the bed when she saw Lisa standing at the window without her jacket. Sophie walked up to her and since she wasn't wearing her jacket, Sophie could see Lisa's arm because of the short-sleeved shirt Lisa was wearing, she saw all the pink spots that were spreading on her body.
"Do they hurt?" Sophie asked with concern while examining the spots on Lisa's arms. "What?" Lisa said, startled. "The spots?" Sophie said, pointing to the marks on her arms.
"No. But this one does," Lisa replied as she showed Sophie the spot on her neck.
Sophie saw that the pink spot on her neck, which was covering a point of the neck, was now covering the whole left side of the neck. "Oh my God. It's spreading fast," Sophie said, worriedly.
"Yeah. I just want to get cured and go home, away from all this," Lisa said while looking out of the window. "Don't worry, we will," Sophie reassured her.
They both watched the blue moon as the fireworks started and at that scene, Sophie and Lisa were both fascinated by the view.
"It's.....it's so beautiful," Lisa said, her eyes shining. "Yeah, it is," Sophie agreed, smiling. The wind blew on their faces, making their hair flow.
Lisa then looked down, smiling, "Thank you, Sophie," she said. "For what?" Sophie asked. "For helping me out, I never thought that I could make it this far," Lisa said.
"It's okay. I mean, if a person can't help another person, then we are no different from animals. When a lion hunts prey, the herd runs away, and the prey must suffer and protect itself," Sophie said, looking out of the window.
Lisa was speechless after hearing what she said. Sophie looked at her. "What?" Sophie said.
"Nothing. It is just....you sound just like my mom," Lisa implied. "Really?" Sophie asked.
"Yes, my mom is a doctor, and she always wants to help people, but my dad....." Lisa sighed. "He just wants to get away from everything, he just doesn't want trouble by helping people who can cause him a problem. But even then, my both parents loved me. They gave me so much time, care, and love that no one could. I just want them and that feeling back."
Sophie was looking at Lisa as she said that, and she could tell that Lisa wanted to cry, but she was trying not to. "Let it out," Sophie said.
"What?" Lisa said. "That feeling that I am seeing in your eyes, let it out. It helps," Sophie said.
"What? No, I am okay, I just feel tired, that's all," Lisa said, trying to hide her emotions. Sophie knew she was lying, so she just looked back out of the window.
"Okay then," Sophie said. Sophie was looking outside when she heard sniffing. She looked at Lisa, who was still trying to hold back her tears, but she lost herself and hugged Sophie so tight and started crying.
"I can't take this anymore. I am scared, helpless, and weak. I am a failure," Lisa said, sobbing. "Hey, hey, listen," Sophie tried to calm her down.
"Lisa, you are not weak, you are brave, and not a failure. Okay? Now calm down. It's just your sad feelings that are saying this. Look, we are almost close, Frose Mountain is right there. We are almost there. So don't say you failed," Sophie said, trying to reassure her.
Lisa calmed down a little but was still sad. "It's been a long time since I cried like that. You are right, it does help," Lisa said, smiling.
Sophie smiled back at her. Later, they heard two people talking. "Is she asleep?" Digi asked. "Yes," Sophie replied.
"So, how is it going? I was surprised that you called me after a while because some holders would call me in every situation. But it looks like you were able to handle it," Digi said.
"Well, at that moment, I thought if the plan didn't go well, then I would have asked for your help. But thankfully, it worked out," Sophie said.
"Alright then. You should get some sleep," Digi said. "Yeah," Sophie said.
Digi then left, and Sophie turned to sleep when she heard something like a car or so coming close. She looked through the window to find the MCA van. Out of shock, she quickly woke Lisa up.
"LISA, LISA. Wake up, we have to go," Sophie said. "Wait, what? (She said in her sleep)," Lisa asked, still groggy.
"The MCA is here," Sophie said urgently. Lisa quickly woke up as she heard that. "WHAT!" Lisa exclaimed.
They both looked outside and saw the woman of the hotel was talking to them. They heard a knock on the door and it was the elderly lady. She told them to follow her and quickly took them to a passageway.
"You can leave from here," The old lady told them "But what about you?" Sophie arsed, concerned about her. "We will be fine dear, now go," The lady assured her.
Sophie and Lisa thanked the lady for her help, and they quickly got out of the hotel. From the backside of the hotel, they ran towards the mountain and started climbing it, as they climbed they quickly started running. As they were running Lisa suddenly stopped and held her neck. She yelled in pain.
"Oh no, Lisa. Come on, we are almost there," Sophie said as she stooped and ran back to her.
"Ah....i.....I can't because the pain is too much," Lisa said in pain. Lisa then vomited again and this time it was all pink. Lisa then leaned on a tree and Sophie took care of her.
"Feeling better?" Sophie asked, "Yeah. It's the chemical, my body can't hold it so it's trying to get it out," Lisa said in a weak voice. Lisa looked at her hands and they were pink.
"We don't have much time, we have to go," Lisa said, trying to stand up. "Can you walk?" Sophie asked, helping Lisa to get up. "Yes, I can try," Lisa assured her.
Sophie helped Lisa to get up, Sophie wrapped Lisa's hand around her and supported her to walk forward. After some minutes they reached a cave and entered, as they entered they saw the Basilisks flower.
"There it is. Lisa, we did it," Sophie said, happily. They both got closer and as they got closer Lisa suddenly heard a clicking sound like a gun. "Sophie, look out," Lisa said, pushing Sophie aside.
They both quickly dodged the bullet shot and the MCA men surrounded them. They both started fighting. Sophie and Lisa were outnumbered, and Lisa started feeling weak. Sophie ran to help her, but out of nowhere, a gas exploded on Sophie.
Sophie coughed roughly, she felt dizzy but was still heading toward Lisa's side. "Li...Lisa," she said in her weak, dizzy state. She fell to the ground and saw a figure with a white coat coming towards her, and blacks out.
