As Sophie slowly opened her eyes, she saw a blurry light illuminating the room. She tried to move her hands but found out that they were hooked to the wall, and so were her legs. She was hanging from a large test board and couldn't free herself.
"What the heck? How did I... argh, come on," she grunted as she tried to pull her hands. However, they wouldn't budge. Suddenly, she had an idea. She could try using her powers.
"Let me try this," she muttered. As she tried to use her power, she felt a sharp sting that moved throughout her arm and then to her body. She was electrocuted, and she fainted.
In her unconscious state, she heard footsteps getting closer. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," a deep voice said as a man came to her side.
Sophie's heart was pounding as she looked up to see a tall man wearing a lab coat. His long brown hair reached his neck, and his glasses shone under the bright light that was coming from the ceiling.
"Who are you? Where is Lisa?" Sophie asked angrily, eyeing the man.
"Oh? I thought your friend had already introduced me," Dr. Dorgan replied, his hands still in his pockets.
Sophie remembered and said in a furious expression, "Dr. Dorgan."
"Ah, now you remember," Dr. Dorgan chuckled.
"What have you done with Lisa? Where is she?" Sophie shouted, her rage intensifying.
"Calm down, Sophie. She is fine. You two will join the party, very soon," Dr. Dorgan replied with a sly grin on his face.
Sophie was confused. "What do you mean?"
Dr. Dorgan smirked and pulled out a button switch from his pocket. As he pressed the button, the room filled with light. What Sophie saw next left her in horror. She saw the mutant children inside a large tube that was filled with water, with oxygen masks on their mouths. The children were in a deep slumber.
"What are you doing to them?" Sophie yelled, her voice shaking with fear.
"Just improving them scientifically so they can become more useful," Dr. Dorgan replied nonchalantly.
"By turning them abnormal? You are a monster! You want to use children as weapons?" Sophie shouted at him, disgusted by his cruelty.
"Yes, the same way I wanted to use Lisa. But she was just a stubborn little brat. All she wanted was to go back to her family, even though we told her she can't. But I didn't know that she was able to find the cure and everything about it. I was quite impressed that you two were able to have it in your grips," Dr. Dorgan said, his eyes glinting with a hint of admiration.
"Well, almost we did. But then you interrupted and came in the way," Sophie retorted, her voice filled with frustration.
"Yes, but what surprises me is that she thought she could do it," Dr. Dorgan laughed.
"Yes, cause she knew, if Dr. Steve could do it, then so could she." Sophie implied.
Dr. Dorgan started laughing very loudly, which made Sophie puzzled as to what she had just said.
"You think that's funny?"
"But unfortunately, he died," Dr. Dorgan replied, his laughter subsiding.
"Yes, the MCA people killed him," Sophie said, looking confused.
"No, no, no. He died... in here," Dr. Dorgan said, putting his hand on his heart.
Sophie paused, realising the truth. "Wait, what do you mean... no."
"Yes, I am - well, was - Dr. Steve," Dr. Dorgan said, coming closer to Sophie.
Sophie was shocked. "But how? Why? For what?"
"For power," Dr. Dorgan said, his glasses shining. "Why bow down to the world when the world can bow down to you?"
Sophie's hands trembled as she tried to process what Dr. Dorgan had just revealed.
"When I found the cure, I was desperate to fix my start so that the people could forgive me and as I was about to start my journey I was stopped by the MCA, they threatened me that if I did, they would kill me but without hesitation, I went on, and on my journey, I met...Him." Sophie knew who he meant by him.
"He offered me something that even I couldn't imagine, the power beyond anything, even more than these pathetic mutants. But he asked something in return." He said smirking.
"What?" Sophie asked.
He came close to Sophie and whispered in her ear. "You."
Sophie's eyes widened from the statement she just heard. He then lifted his head and looked at her face. "You are as they say the guardian now, right?" He said
"You think that if he gets what he wants, he will favour you? (She said then smiled) Sorry, but he is a villain. Villains just want what they want and after that, they will get rid of you." She implied.
Dr. Dorgan chuckled. "Hm, we'll see, my dear," he said as he headed for the door of the room.
Sophie watched him go, her mind racing with the implications of what she had just heard.
Sophie looked left and right, trying to find a way out, but she was stuck. Dr. Dorgan had left the room, leaving her alone with her thoughts.
Meanwhile, Lisa was in her monster form, fighting off the guards. Dr. Dorgan entered the room, when she saw him she attacked him, but he dodged her and put an injection on her, which caused her to lose herself and fall. She turned back to her normal self, blood on her forehead and bruises on her arms.
"Hello, Lisa. We meet again," Dr. Dorgan said as with his hands in his pockets
She slowly got up and charged at him again but he punched her back and she fell.
"Where is Sophie, what did you do to her?" She asked furiously while still on the ground.
He then nodded to the guards that they should go out as he wished to talk to her alone. All the guards then left.
"She is fine, don't worry. Come on, let's just talk," Dr. Dorgan said, sitting down on the chair and pointing to the other chair, Lisa was confused.
Sophie was still struggling with the hook on her hands that pinned her to the board, feeling frustrated and helpless. She knew she had to find a way out of this mess.
"Argh...arhm....ah.... Oh, come on," She exclaimed in frustration as she struggled. "What is this made of? It.....won't budge. And if I try my powers it will electrocute me," She muttered while scanning her surroundings.
She then noticed that her hand was slightly slipping out but her hand was still so big that it was paining. A thought then occurred to Sophie.
"Of course, this is a tight Bangel situation. When your Bangel is tight on your wrist, you apply oil or lotion to slip it out. Of course!" she said with a professional air.
Sophie then began to survey the area, searching for anything that might be useful in her escape. She sighed when she realized that there was nothing.
"Yeah right, like I'll just look around and suddenly I'll see something....useful," she scoffed, but then her gaze fell upon an engine oil canister below the table beside her. "Well, what do you know...." she said, smiling. "Faith is with me," she added with a grin. "But how am I supposed to reach it? I can't use my powers."
Then, Sophie remembered a part of her training where she had used levitation.
"Maybe I can use that," she mused.
She focused all her strength on the can and put all her attention on it. She then utilized her power of mana to activate her telekinetic abilities and levitated the can towards her.
"Yes!" she exclaimed, but her focus slipped, and the can fell. "Oh right, I need to focus."
Sophie took a deep breath and concentrated on the oil can once again. She was able to move it again, and the can reached her wrist. She poured the oil down her two wrists, and then she tried to move her wrists. The oil allowed her hand to slip out of the hook. She freed her right hand and then her left hand, and as a result, both of her hands were freed. She freed her legs too and was able to get off the board.
"Yes, finally, Now I have to find Lisa and get out of here."
Sophie sprinted towards the door, which was the only way out. As she approached the door, she heard someone walking by, so she ducked down and listened to the men's conversation as they passed.
"Is the doctor gonna do it?" One of the men inquired.
"Of course, he will. He is already betraying the CEO to help Zoron. After he kills the girl, he will give the children to Zoron, and then he will use the kids to turn on Zoron and have the power to take over the world," the other man replied in a deep voice.
"Do you think he will succeed?" the first man asked.
"I don't care. I want to get this job done and go home," the other man replied.
The men then left the area. After hearing their conversation, Sophie turned back to see the poor children who were trapped in a tube.
"I can't leave them like this," she told herself.
Sophie ran towards one of the tubes and saw a boy, about 9 years old, with dark brown hair trapped inside the cage. She put her hand on the tube and banged on it, hoping to find a way to get him out. She then tried to use her power, but it didn't work.
"Newly acquired powers aren't going to damage that thing," she said, trying to figure out her next move.
Sophie started to look around, and in the corner of her eye, she saw a fire extinguisher. She grabbed it and began hitting the glass part of the tube. After hitting it several times, she hit it once more, and the glass shattered, allowing the boy to flow out with the water. Sophie quickly went to the unconscious boy and removed the mask from his face.
"Hey, are you okay? Come on, get up," She tried to wake the boy.
The boy then opened his eyes. "What...where?" he said, confused and got up with his hand on his head.
"Are you okay?" Sophie asked.
"Yes, but who are you?" he asked, confused.
"I am here to help. I have to get you guys out of here," Sophie said as she helped the boy to get up.
"But I thought we couldn't leave the facility until we were better," the boy said.
"Better?" Sophie asked.
"Yes, the Doctor told us that he would make us better, and we could go home," the boy explained.
Sophie had so much sympathy for the kids; they were living up to a lie.
"Listen, this place is dangerous, and I have to get you guys out," Sophie said, trying to convince the boy.
"Are you with the police?" the curious boy asked.
Sophie hesitated for a moment before answering. "Well, something like that. But I am a friend of Lisa."
"Wow, really," the boy said.
Sophie nodded and said, "Alright, now let's get the others out."
The boy joined Sophie to get the other children out of the tubes. Sophie carried the fire extinguisher and hit the tube when the boy stopped her.
"What are you doing?" he said, worryingly.
"I am trying to get them out," Sophie replied.
"You just have to turn this wheel on the side," he said, pointing to the wheel on the bottom of the tube.
"Oh...I didn't see that," Sophie said, feeling embarrassed.
She then tried to turn the wheel, but it wouldn't budge. The boy then helped her out. He used his mutant power of strength to turn the wheel and get the kid out.
"Wow, your mutation power is super strength," Sophie said, impressed.
"Yep," he replied joyfully.
"What's your name?" Sophie asked.
"Aiden," he replied.
Sophie and Aiden used both their powers to get 13 kids out of the test tubes. As they were freeing them, Sophie was shocked to see one of the kids was Kyle. She hesitated at first to let him go, but she then freed him as well. After freeing all the kids, Sophie found out that the oldest of them was a 14-year-old boy with blond hair and green eyes. He introduced himself as Derek.
"Are you all okay?" Sophie asked as the kids were slowly becoming conscious.
"Yes, we are," Derek replied.
"Sophie? What are you doing here?" Kyle asked.
Sophie explained how she and Lisa were captured and brought here. Kyle told her that after he was unconscious, he was found by the MCA and was brought to the facility. He also apologised for what he did. Sophie forgave him. But then Derek was confused as to what Sophie meant by being captured.
Sophie then explained to the kids how they were just weapons that the doctor wanted to use and was never going to send them back home.
"So all that was a lie?" Derek asked.
"I'm afraid so, but don't worry. We can still get out of here," Sophie reassured them.
"How?" Derek asked.
"There must be a way that can lead to the door out," Sophie replied.
A boy with glasses spoke up. "There is only one way out, I'm afraid. The entrance is a one-way gate."
One of the girls with pinkish-red hair and a pink flower clip spoke up in a shaky voice. "But Ben, the entrance and the way to the entrance are filled with guards. How will we get past them?"
"We fight our way out," Aiden said confidently, punching his right palm with his left fist.
"No, it can be dangerous," Sophie hesitated, worried about their safety.
"No, we are finished with this. Aiden is right, since we possess the powers, we can combat, and we will escape," Derek implied with determination.
Some of the children were apprehensive while the others were motivated. Then the boy with dark blue hair and green eyes with glasses spoke again, "All that is ok, but we need a plan for this to work out."
"Well Ben, you are the brains, what can we do?," Kyle joined in.
"And I know you're with us," Derek said, turning to Sophie.
"Of course, but I still have to find Lisa," Sophie said.
"Wait, Lisa is here?" Derek questioned.
"Yes, the Doctor has her captive," Sophie implied.
"We can try to distract and fight off the guards while you find Lisa and join us," Aiden said.
"I can't just leave you guys in this," Sophie said.
"You won't, after locating Lisa you can find us at the entrance," Derek insinuated.
Sophie ruminate over what she had just heard, let out a deep sigh, and responded, "Very well, let's proceed." They all then began to prepare themselves. The children enhanced their abilities and exited the room.
In one of the hallways, a guard was walking, but suddenly halted. He looked around for a minute and then spoke into his walkie-talkie.
"Hey, Rick, do you hear anything on the other side of the hall?" the guard said into his walkie-talkie.
"No Max, do you hear?" came the response.
"Yeah, I'll go check it out," Max said and began to walk towards the spot.
As he got closer, Max reached to a door and entered. After not getting a response from him, Rick then talked through the walkie-talkie. Rick tried to contact him through the walkie-talkie, but all he heard was glitching sounds.
"Max? Max...answer me," Rick said, growing increasingly worried.
He decided to investigate, gun in hand. But when he arrived at the spot where Max had been, he found nothing. He looked left and right, but there was no sign of Max.
"Max? If this is you trying to scare me, it's not going to work," Rick said, trying to calm himself down.
As he turned to leave, he heard something fall behind him. He quickly turned around to see the walkie-talkie lying on the floor. Confused, he picked it up.
"What the..." Rick muttered, staring at the device in his hand.
He heard a weird sound from above and when he looked up he saw Max all tied up and hugged by tree vines from the ceiling, the vines were covering his mouth which did not enable Max to speak. He saw that Max was mumbling something but he couldn't understand what he was saying. At the corner of his eye, Rick saw a girl with a flower clip charge at him, he quickly aimed his gun at her and shot, but the bullet stayed in one place and did not move. He looked back to see a boy with blonde hair and green eyes. It was Derek he used his levitating power to hold off the bullet before it reached the girl. The guard then pointed his gun at the boy and as he was about to shoot, the boy with the glasses used his earth power to disbalance the guard and made him fall.
The guard stumbled backwards as he fell on his back, the gun away from his reach. With a quick reflex, he got up and reached for his walkie-talkie to alert the others.
"Mayday mayday, we have a break out in hall A7, I need backup...woah," he said, but before he could finish his sentence, he was suddenly dragged and hung upside down on the ceiling. The walkie-talkie fell to the ground, leaving a trail of static noise.
The vines, which seemed to have a mind of their own, wrapped around him and tied him tightly. The girl who seemed to be in control of the vines used them to cover his mouth and carried the walkie-talkie.
"We won't be doing that today," she said, her voice calm and collected.
The rest of the group then joined her. Derek, nodded approvingly at the girl.
"Very good, Silvey," he said.
Sophie also joined them.
Sophie looked around nervously as she heard the sound of running footsteps approaching. She knew they had to move quickly if they were going to make it out of the building alive.
"He has alerted the others, We have to go, now," she said to Derek with a worried expression on her face.
Derek nodded, looking serious. "You should go, Sophie. We'll handle it."
Sophie took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay, but be careful."
With that, she turned and headed in a different direction, leaving the kids behind. Sophie made her way through another hallway that took her to a balcony part of the building. She heard running footsteps and quickly hid behind a wall.
"Come on! We have to get there quickly!" she heard a guard say as he ran past her.
As they went away, Sophie quickly ran to the other side and saw the different rooms. She looked in the rooms through the glass window, but she found nothing in the first four rooms,
she passed the 5th, but she went back to it and saw Lisa's head laying on the table like she was unconscious, Sophie quickly entered the room and ran to her.
"Lisa? Lisa...Lisa come on, wake up, wake up," Sophie attempted to awaken Lisa.
"Heh? What? Where am..." Lisa said, awakening disoriented, she saw Sophie and exclaimed, "Sophie, thank goodness you're okay!"
"Yeah, come on, we need to get out of here. The other mutant kids are providing us cover, we have to join them and leave as soon as possible," Sophie instructed urgently.
"What? What's happening?" Lisa was still groggy.
Sophie let out a deep breath, "I don't have time to explain everything right now. Let's head to the entrance gate and try to sneak past the guards before they catch us," she said, helping Lisa out of the room and into the hallway.
"Wait," Lisa said, both of them stopped running. "If we're going to the entrance gate, I know a shortcut to bypass the guards."
"Lead the way," Sophie urged, grateful for the possibility of a quicker escape.
Lisa suddenly turned around and started running in the opposite direction, and Sophie followed. They reached the end of the hall, where Lisa opened a vent and crawled through it, with Sophie close behind. As they emerged from the vent, they saw two guards and quickly hid. After the guards passed, they continued down another hallway.
"Through here, we can reach the entrance gate," Lisa said, pointing to a room door.
Sophie nodded in agreement, and Lisa opened the door. As soon as she stepped inside, Sophie followed and closed the door behind her. But as she turned to face Lisa,
she was standing in the middle of the dark room facing her back at Sophie.
"Okay, now which way Lisa?" she asked, confused.
There was no response from Lisa.
"Lisa? Which way out?" Sophie asked again.
"There is no way out," Lisa finally replied, her back still turned to Sophie.
"What do you mean?" Sophie asked, worried.
"This is your destination," Lisa said cryptically.
Sophie was getting nervous, and Lisa's next move made her heart race. Lisa slowly turned around, revealing her face. Sophie was shocked to see that Lisa's black pupils had completely overtaken her irises.
"Lisa, what happened to you?" Sophie asked, scared.
"Nothing. I was just getting the job done," Lisa replied with a grin.
"Job? What job?" Sophie asked, increasingly worried.
"An excellent job," a voice suddenly boomed from the dark corner of the room.
Sophie's face turned white as she saw Dr. Dorgan step out of the shadows.
Back to the kids who were putting up a valiant fight, but it seemed they were getting outnumbered. One of the kids, with yellow hair and green eyes, was using his telekinetic powers to fend off the guards when suddenly a guard sneaked up on him. But before he could hurt the kid, Derek swiftly took him down.
"Are you okay?" Derek asked the kid, concerned.
The kid nodded in affirmation. Kyle, then came up to Derek and said, "Derek, we are getting outnumbered. We can't keep this up for long."
Derek was determined to not let the team lose hope. "I believe in my team. And since they have been training us for war, then this is it. Give it all that we got."
As if on cue, Derek and the other kids fought back like a proper team and started getting the upper hand." Come on Sophie, we are all counting on you," he thought as he fought.
Sophie's heart was pounding as she saw the Doctor, she quickly attacked with her power, But Lisa stepped in front of the Doctor, shielding him from Sophie's attack.
Sophie was stunned. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. "Lisa, what is with you? Why are you protecting him?" she yelled, her voice laced with anger and confusion.
Lisa didn't answer. Instead, she lunged at Sophie, her movements quick and precise. Sophie managed to dodge the attack with a side roll, but she was still reeling from the shock of Lisa's sudden hostility towards her.
"What happened to you?" Sophie asked, her voice shaking with emotion.
The Doctor just smiled, as if he knew something that Sophie didn't. "Oh, nothing much," he said, his voice calm and soothing. "Just a little change of heart, that's all."
A flashback occurs, Lisa was holding her left arm as she went to the chair and sat down, the doctor was in front of her.
"I see the way you and Sophie are close now. Why?" He asked.
"Like it is your business," Lisa said in an annoyed tone.
Dr. Dorgan sighs and removes his glasses, "You trust her, don't you?" He asked.
"If I do?" Lisa answered him with a question.
"Then you are just harming yourself," He replied while wearing his glasses.
Lisa was confused when he said that.
"What made you think that you can trust her, that she saved you? That she helped you?" He said.
Lisa looked at his face with concern
"If these are the reasons then they are not enough. Do you even know where she is from?" He implied.
"Sh.....she is.....well....." Lisa shuttered but he said, "She didn't tell you."
Lisa looked at him with more concern, that all he was saying was accurate.
"She is actually with The MCA," He said.
"No she is not," Lisa believed he was lying.
He just smiled, "Lisa, did you think that the MCA would just sit down holding their hands together, and do nothing when they found out that the documents that could shut down the company got stolen? No, they made a deal with Sophie, that if she could get you to the mountain, they could capture you and destroy the only thing that could ruin their plans, she could then keep those powers that she possesses," He implied.
Lisa was still confused.
"Then what about that guy named Zoron?" She asked.
"Oh him? He is just the man working in the MCA he hired Sophie so that he can get her back, to her normal work," he answered.
Lisa was quiet but then realized something.
"But you are also working for the MCA, why should I believe you? After all those tortures, you and the others did to me day and night," Lisa implied.
"I was trying to help you because there were dangerous side effects of the serum, those injections we gave you, were for the side effects to wear off. So that you can use your abilities without any problem," He said sincerely.
As much as Lisa hated to hear that, she believed him.
"Now, that we are settled we have to do something about Sophie," He said. "What?" She exclaimed.
"We have to end her and stop this madness," He said as he stood up from the chair and went towards Lisa.
After hearing that, Lisa had a hard time processing everything. The doctor then went behind Lisa and whispered in her ear, "You want to meet your parents don't you?"
Lisa's eyes widened and she looked back at the doctor who was smiling wide.
"Listen, if you help me out, you can go back to your and end this madness or you can not and let your friend take you back to the MCA," he implied.
All that the doctor had said everything, made Lisa more and more anxious, but in the end, Lisa lowered her head and looked back up at the doctor with a serious face.
"I'll.....do it," She said.
The doctor's smile turns into a smirk.
"Excellent choice," he said.
The doctor then got up and went behind Lisa and stood there with his hands on Lisa's shoulders.
"There is just one thing more," He said as he put his hand in his pocket and brought out an injection)
He then injected it into Lisa's right arm so gently, that Lisa didn't feel anything. Lisa then looked up and her eyes pupils expanded around her iris until her bright blue eye was not visible, making it seem like she was being controlled.
"Perfect, now what is it that we are supposed to do?" He asked.
"End Sophie," she said with a blank face like a robot. The flashback ended.
Dr. Dorgan's smile was unsettling. Sophie's anger grew as she stared at him. "You did something to her, didn't you?" she asked, her voice heavy with accusation.
Dr. Dorgan simply chuckled in response. "You are highly specific," he replied cryptically.
Sophie's frustration boiled over and she launched herself at him, but Lisa quickly stepped in to block her attack. The two women fought fiercely, with Sophie holding back in an attempt to avoid hurting her friend.
Sophie in all her might did was mostly defending instead of attacking. She used her flying power to avoid Lisa's attacks, she flew around as Lisa followed. At a point Sophie looked back and didn't see Lisa, in that quick second jumped towards her from the front higher then Sophie. With this sudden action Sophie used her power of Mana to create a shield, but the attack was so strong that Sophie made the shield more stronger , which made her to overuse her Power and since she was also using flying power at once, unaware, her energy got drained casung the shield to break and Lisa swung a devastating blow that landed in Sophie's stomach, causing her to vomit blood and fall to the ground.
Dr. Dorgan laughed cruelly at Sophie's defeat. "Hahahaha, you can't even fight Lisa. Then how will you fight... him?" he taunted, pausing for a moment before continuing. Sophie struggled to get up, Sophie stood up but suddenly fell to her knees, coughing up blood. The blood was dripping from her mouth, leaving her confused and afraid. She looked up and saw the doctor standing on the railing above her. He opened the hatch of the roof, revealing the bright moon shining on him. Suddenly, he started laughing and transforming into a flying monster, roaring loudly.
He laughed maniacally, "You see the power, Sophie?" Sophie's weak body only saw the haired beast sitting in front of the moon.
"No, one can resist this power. (He said manically) Finish her Lisa."
Lisa turned back to Sophie and raised her alien arm to kill Sophie. Sophie looked deep into Lisa's eyes and stood up with her weak body.
"Lisa, this isn't you....." She said but Lisa attacked and She jumped back to dodge it. "You are the one who said you didn't want this, and now you want to be used as a weapon?"
Lisa attacked 3 times in a row causing Sophie to jump up to the railing opposite the one the doctor was standing. Lisa launched another attack which made Sophie fly to the wall and fall.
"Please, listen to me Lisa, he is only using you, he will get rid of you after he gets what he wants." SophiLIsaid weakly.
"Shut up! I have had enough of your lies." Lisa said with a blank expression and swung her hand upwards to attack Sophie.
Sophie now noticed that the pink spot on Lisa's neck had fully spread on her neck part and her left human hand was fully pink. She then realized that it was all the chemicals.
Remember what you told me at the hotel? Sophie said as her head was down.
Lisa suddenly stopped and her eyes widened a little.
"You said you were scared and helpless, you said you wanted to go back home. Your mother, and your father, do you think they will be happy about you being like this? You are being the lion right now." Sophie implied.
Lisa's hand calmed down and she had a little scared face.
"This isn't you, you are my friend." She smiled after saying that.
Lisa was still standing in the same position just looking at Sophie as she said that.
Dr. Dorgan laughed. "That won't work, you fool." "Finish her, " he said calmly.
Lisa's calm face turned serious and she raised her hand again. "Sorry Sophie."She said sadly.
Sophie knew why she said that lost hope, Lisa then waved her hand and hit Sophie's sides which caused a blow on that area, and dust formed as the doctor saw that he laughed manaically. After the dust started disappearing Doctor saw Lisa in the same position as she hit Sophie
"WHAT!" Dr Dorgan exclaimed in anger.
Lisa's hand was on the wall and not on Sophie. Sophie saw Lisa's face, and Lisa opened her eyes revealing them to be normal. Lisa smiled at Sophie. "Thank you."
Sophie was relieved to see Lisa back. Lisa turned to face the Doctor and saw his surprised face. Lisa looked at him with an angry face.
"I am done doing your dirty work," she said firmly, as Sophie tried to get up.
Without any warning, Lisa launched herself at the Doctor and hit him hard in the stomach. He doubled over and vomited. Lisa then out of nowhere gave a one big blow which caused the doctor to hit the wall with so much force that the wall crumbled on him. Lisa tried helping Sophie up, but they heard chuckling. They saw that the doctor was able to get out of the crumbled wall and instead of him being hurt he grew bigger and stronger. He laughed maniacally.
"You fool, hurting me will only get me stronger." He smirked in his beaty voice. Sophie understood the situation, "Damn it, that means the only way to end him is to kill him," She thought.
Lisa quickly launched at him back and they began fighting. Sophie tried to stand up, but she lost her balance and was about to fall but she felt hands around her that prevented her from falling. She looked up to see Derek, Kyle, Silvey, Ben, Aiden and other 2 kids.
"Sophie, are you ok?" Derek asked, as he and the other kids helped Sophie to sit. "Derek? How did you…where are…?" Sophie asked confused but Kyle answered, "The others are OK, we were able to get a hold of the guards."
"And we knew that you took so long, we had to come and find you, Silvey was able to use her vines to track your whereabouts and it looks like we found you both at the right time." Derek Implied.
"Guys, you have to get out of here, go." Sophie said weakly. We will not leave you and who the heck is Lisa fighting?" Kyle said. "Its Dr. Dorgan,'' Sophie replied.
"What, but how?" Derek said looking at the fight between Lisa and the beast. "Because he is also a mutant." Sophie said she tried to stand by herself and held her left rib.
"What? That's impossible, only kids below 15 are infected." Ben implied. "I can't explain in detail but the only thing we have to do is finish him off, but whenever he is hit he becomes stronger." Sophie explained. "So the only way is to blow him up at once." Aiden said.
"But how can we do that? What can we use to blast full at once?" Sophie asked. "Of course, the self destruction." Ben said. All of them looked at him. "The facility has a self destruction button. We can activate it and get out before the time." Ben explained.
Derek said, "That can work." "But we need to distract the Doctor so we can get Lisa and get out." Kyle said. "Wait, Karrie." Silvey said, turning to a girl with short black hair and front straight bangs with dark grey eyes.
"You have hypnosis power right?" Silvey asked. The girl replied yes. Ben then said, "Silvey, you are a genius, Karrie you can hypnotise some of the guards, they can attack and distract the doctor while we can activate the botton and get out." Ben said.
"Then let's do this, we have to get Lisa first. Kyle, Aiden and Ben, you are with me, we will get Lisa out of the fight and distract the doctor, Silvey and Oscar you will take Sophie and Lisa out of here along with the others at the gate and Karrie by this time period try to get as many guards as you can." Derek instructed.
They started the plan by allowing Karrie to get to the guards. Lisa was hit hard and she fell to the ground and she turned normal, the doctor got her and was about to punch her when Kyle attacked in his cat beast form, Derek, Ben and Aiden also fought him and Silvey got hold of Lisa with her vines. Lisa was hurt but she was strong enough to get out with Sophie and the other 2. Lisa was glad to know that the other kids were fine. Then Silvey and Oscar helped Sophie and Lisa to get out. But as they were going Lisa suddenly remembered something and stopped.
Lisa ran back. Sophie and the others stopped and shouted at Lisa
"Lisa, where are you going?" Sophie said.
"Keep going, I will be right there." Lisa said as she kept running.
Sophie didn't know why but she followed Lisa. She told Silvey and Oscar to go and get the other kids out, she will get Lisa and follow them. They nodded and ran. But by this time Ben was able to start the self destruction which started for 5 minutes countdown and Karrie was able to get 6 guards under control. They distracted the beast Doctor while Derek and the others got out.
Lisa went into a lab room and found the basilisk flower and some documents related to it, she quickly kept it in her pockets ran out of the room, and headed back, she collided with Sophie and they ran back as quickly as they could. But time was running out, it was remaining 1 minute But they were still far. They ran as fast as they could but time started counting 10, 9, 8.
Sophie knew they won't make but she quickly carried Lisa and fly with her full power as it remained 2 seconds she was able get out with Lisa on time and the whole facility blew up into bites and the Doctor was now officially dead. All the kids were happy.
All of them rested for a while. Sophie went to Lisa and sat with her.
"Glad that's over." Sophie said relived.
"Not yet." Lisa said as she got something out of her pocket. It was the flower and the cure procedure.
"So that's why you ran back." Sophie said happily. "Yes." Lisa said.
They both started laughing and Lisa went to the other kids and told them about how they could be cured and go to their families. Sophie realised the case and knew her mission was done. Sophie then thought of something and went to Lisa.
"Hey, Lisa." Sophie said as she walked up to her.
Lisa and the others turned to Sophie as she was the only one standing on that side.
"I am glad I was able to help all of you but it's time for me to go." Sophie said trying to smile. The sun started rising from Sophie's Right.
Lisa was confused at first, but then she thought for a second.
"Of course, you also have to go home. I will meet you some other time." She smiled after saying that.
"No, Lisa you...you don't understand, I...I can't see you again." Sophie said, her smile disappear.
Lisa was now officially confused along with the others. After Sophie said that the portal opened on the far right side of Sophie. Sophie then smiled and went to Lisa.
"I am actually from another world, I only came here to help you, as I am The Guardian of the Multiverse. I am from a different universe a different reality and I was sent here to help you all with your difficulties and now it is done it's time for me to go. Please don't be mad." Sophie said with a sad expression
Lisa was silent for a while when she smiled and looked at Sophie. "You are a wonderful Guardian Sophie. Thanks for your help." "Yes." Derek also joined in with the rest." Thank for getting us back to our family." Aiden said joyfully. They all went to Sophie and hugged her tight. Lisa hugged her last and had tears.
"So that's what the doctor meant," Lisa thought.
Lisa and Sophie let go and Lisa cleaned her tears. "Thanks for everything that you have done for us. You must go now." Lisa said.
Sophie said her goodbyes. She headed for the portal and turned back to them for the last time and then they left to go home. Sophie was still standing looking at them when Digi appeared by the other side of the portal.
"I can understand that it's hard." Digi said with her arms crossed and looks at Sophie. Sophie just smiled. "But you made them happy by giving them freedom and getting back with their parents." Digi said. "But hey you can still meet them again." Sophie looked at her with a "Really" face. "The adventures can also bring you back in case there are other problems." Digi said. Sophie seemed happy. "But the chances are 0.1% of that happening." She said nervously. Sophie just laughed. "Let's go home." Sophie enters the portal.
In one mysterious environment with only a light illuminating from a corner, a person stands in front of it. There are footsteps echoing in the room. The person with the footstep sound comes close to the person in front of the light.
"He failed, didn't he." The person in front of the light said in a deep voice." "Yes Zoron. It had to do with-" The person replied but was stopped by Zoron. "It's ok I was expecting this. Because this is just a start." He said and chuckled.
Sophie reaches home and the portal closes. She lay down on her bed and sighed deeply when Digi came around.
"Overall how was your adventure." Digi asked.
"Well, it was hard but it was worth it." Sophie said tired and happily.
"And you managed to do it in 20 minutes." Digi said, looking at the time.
" Yeah, wait what! I did it in 2 days." Sophie said as she sat up.
" That was in their universe. In your universe, you were gone for 20 minutes." Digi said.
Sophie was confused, she looked at the time and it was 10:28 pm 20 minutes before she left." How is that possible?" She said confused.
"It depends on how you go through the adventure. Your adventure was fully concentrated and it took you 2 days. So with that, your day went for 10 minutes." Digi explained.
"Woah." Sophie was amazed.
"Yep, you should get to sleep now." Digi advices her and she left. Sophie changed into her pajamas and went to sleep.
It was now morning as the sun rose. Sophie woke up to the light that reflected on her face, she got up and yawned, everything that went on last night felt like a dream. She then smiled. Her mom then came into her room to check if she was still sleeping.
"Good morning, dear. What's with the smile? Had a good dream?" Mom said as she opened the curtains.
" Yes." Sophie replied happily.
"Nice, looks like it had a happy ending. Now come downstairs for breakfast sweety." She said and left Sophie's room.
Sophie then looked at her blanket. "Happy ending?" She thought.
She then looked outside her window as the cloudy weather breeze brushed through her face.
"More like...A whole new beginning." She thought.
