Chapter 87 - Priority

Thor, the big fool.

In a short time on Earth, he learned from Jane what it means to have the right values.

Going to work to earn money, spending time with his girlfriend after work, and whenever he has free time, he reads books with Jane and learns about Earth's knowledge.

He's practically a model citizen.

In the movie, he was able to settle into life on Earth because Loki tricked him.

He thought he had caused his father's death, and his mother forbade him from returning to Asgard, leaving him utterly heartbroken.

But now, after Blake told him the truth, he has truly calmed down, no longer impulsive and impatient, which is a completely different mindset.

Compared to his hundreds of years in Asgard, it's like he wasted his life.

Odin's family education was really...

Odin himself probably couldn't bear it either, so he came up with the so-called Odin's Sleep, to avoid the chaos and let them deal with it on their own.

While he found peace, Loki took the position of acting King, and Thor's childhood friends couldn't just sit by and do nothing.

Fandral, Volstagg, and Hogun, known as the Warriors Three of Asgard, along with Lady Sif, the goddes and Thor's nominal fiancée.

The four of them went to the Bifrost and found Heimdall.

After spinning a web of supposedly clever lies, Heimdall left his guardian sword on the Bifrost control and strolled away.

After letting them go to Earth to find Thor, Heimdall stood on the Bifrost and sighed.

To him, this was just playing house with children.

As for Odin's family business, well, it's a mess...

Soon enough, he'd have to play along in a drama with Loki.

As the saying goes, even the wisest can't judge family matters, let alone Odin.

Even Frigga, the supposedly wisest person in all of Asgard and Thor's mother, chose to ignore family affairs, hiding under the pretense of caring for Odin.

She allowed Loki to do as he pleased while sitting on the throne.

Even when Loki conspired with the Frost Giants, Heimdall turned a blind eye, as Loki's plan was to lure them out and wipe them out to prove to Odin that he was the best candidate for the next King.

But honestly, if Loki hadn't taken Gungnir and killed the Frost Giant himself, would the All-Father, who was supposedly in Odin's Sleep, have been so easily killed?

Every time Blake thought about this in his past life, he couldn't help but shudder.

Letting two kids stir up chaos across the Nine Realms ultimately led to the two of them opening up to each other and genuinely working together.

Faced with the inevitable Ragnarok, Asgard was sacrificed to bury Hela, and they escaped the curse of Ragnarok.

After Asgard's destruction, and before they encountered Thanos...

Every action Thor and Loki took was subconsciously influenced by Odin and Frigga.

In all of Asgard, besides those two sly foxes, and the observant Heimdall who chose to remain silent, the rest were practically fools.

Just as Blake was thinking this, a rainbow-colored light descended from a whirlwind of dark clouds in the distant sky, landing outside the small town.

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.'s temporary base, all the surveillance equipment went wild, sounding alarms.

Thanks to the research data and scientific instruments Jane and the others provided, the space detector picked up the formation of a passage between two spaces.

"What exactly happened?"

Coulson rushed into the room with a constipated expression.

"That's the legendary Bifrost. A few big fools from Asgard have arrived—oh, no, I mean a few gods. Let's go and check it out!"

Blake appeared behind Coulson at some point.

Standing next to him was the biggest fool from Asgard, Thor.

Knowing that Loki would soon be controlling the Destroyer, Blake didn't let Coulson bring anyone else. It was just the two of them and Thor in one car, heading towards the outskirts of the town.

"It looks like your friends want you to go back. What do you think, Thor?"

Blake asked Thor while they were in the car.

"To be honest, maybe I'm really not suited to be a King. I see things too simply. Maybe Loki is more suited to be King than I am," Thor said quietly, his head lowered.

"Actually, neither of you are suited to be King. One of you has no idea how to be a King, and the other is only obsessed with sitting on the throne," Blake concluded about the two brothers.

"That's what Jane said too. To be honest, I really like the idea of elections on Earth. Letting the people choose a King is much better than our family constantly killing each other."

"Congratulations, Thor, you've found yourself a very good girlfriend!"

Blake didn't want to comment on political systems, but he had to admit that Jane had given Thor a lot of valuable and correct advice during this time.

Not long after leaving the town, they spotted four figures dressed in medieval attire approaching.

"Stop the car, Son of Coul. Those are my friends!"

Thor was quite excited to see the Warriors Three and Lady Sif.

Before the car even came to a full stop, he jumped out and gave each of them a big hug.

"Are you sure those are gods from Asgard? They look more like Xena the Warrior Princess, Robin Hood, and Jackie Chan. And that fat guy looks like Gragas from League of Legends, except he's holding an axe!"

Coulson pointed at the group outside with a strange expression.

"Although I strongly disagree with you comparing Jackie Chan to that fool out there, I can't deny it—if someone told me gods looked like this, I'd give them a hard slap!"

"By the way, when are you going to deal with your hair? I know a great hair removal cream!"

Blake suddenly remembered his bet with Coulson.

"I'm really sorry, Blake. It was a slip of the tongue. What I meant was different from what you understood."

Coulson's survival instincts were strong. In his life, the most important things were his antique car, which he treated like his girlfriend, his hair, and Captain America's trading cards, in that order.

Blake smirked and stared at Coulson's receding hairline without saying a word.

"Alright." Coulson sighed.

"I have two tickets to a cello concert. I paid a lot of money to get them from a scalper. It's on the 15th of next month, and Agent Romanoff just happens to be free that day. She's very interested in these kinds of things."

"Deal!"

Blake extended his right hand.

"Let's go! Let's get out of the car and see what nonsense this bunch of fools has to say!"
