Chapter 57 - Cool

It's impossible for a major drug lord to not have someone from the Drug Enforcement Agency around them; the difference is whether they are a close confidant or not.

Soon, Coulson received a video on his phone.

The video was taken from a window of a building, showing a group of heavily armed but panicked soldiers below.

A jeep, riddled with bullets, was in sight.

A man wearing a classic robber's mask, revealing only his eyes and mouth, was wielding a six-barrel Gatling gun and wildly shooting in all directions.

After finishing one ammo belt, the man casually discarded the Gatling gun and pulled out a rifle slung on his back.

As he chambered a round, he shouted to the surroundings.

"You drug-dealing bastards, come face my bullets of justice! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you! Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!"

Coulson swore, it was the first time he felt a bit embarrassed by having such a colleague.

If you're going to shoot, just shoot. What's with the "rat-tat-tat" sound effects? And what's with the "in the name of the moon" line?

Though the man's face in the video was completely covered, Coulson immediately recognized him as Blake.

Not just by the sound of his voice, but because he was wearing the same outfit as when they met at noon.

Legally speaking, a criminal is someone who has been caught by the police, put on trial, and convicted of a crime.

This applies to murderers, thieves, and drug dealers alike.

So, before these major drug lords go through the courts, they are legally still just Mexican citizens.

Some even maintain good behavior records, clean files, and have created numerous jobs and charitable contributions locally.

The last time Blake and his team attacked Celesto's estate, the Mexican government was already very displeased.

It was only through Nick Fury's behind-the-scenes maneuvering that the matter was smoothed over.

But this time, Blake snuck into Mexico alone, just recently toppling one major drug lord's lair.

And then brazenly barged into another's.

This was practically a slap in the face to the Mexican government.

Moreover, he threatened the drug lord in front of his face, demanding they transfer large sums of money to his account.

These funds included significant kickbacks for many high-ranking government officials.

Thus, the regular army quickly mobilized, laying a trap on the outskirts of the city.

Reynosa, a northeastern border city of Mexico.

Only about a hundred kilometers from California.

Not only an important border trade hub but also a critical city for drug lords to transport drugs to North America.

At least 50% of the North American drug market's supply flows out from here each year.

The local top drug lord, Carlos, held more prestige and power in this chaotic border city than even the mayor.

Of course, this was thanks to his guns and dollars.

However, Carlos's armed forces had now been reduced to a defeated remnant.

And the enormous sums of money in his bank accounts, filled with zeros, had been transferred to someone else's accounts.

In a nearly half-ruined luxurious estate, a masked Blake nonchalantly chewed on a cigar he swiped from Carlos.

He swaggered into a warehouse packed with military-grade arms.

Inside the warehouse, two armed men instinctively stood at attention as soon as they saw Blake.

During Blake's earlier assault, he had already terrified these armed men.

Impervious to blades and bullets, incredibly strong, one punch from him was like a rocket blast; how could they fight?

Anyone with the courage to resist had already been mostly wiped out; otherwise, they wouldn't have taken refuge in the armory.

Seeing Blake walk in, they didn't even dare to move, let alone fight back.

Since they didn't resist, and Blake wasn't a bloodthirsty maniac, he naturally wouldn't go around punching their heads off for no reason.

Glancing at the room full of weapons, he casually picked up a grenade and, with a click, pulled the pin.

"You two still here? Waiting to get blown up?"

As soon as Blake spoke, the two men bolted out the door.

"Heh! Look at you two, so scared. I haven't even let go yet!"

After taking down these two drug lords, Blake had obtained a large sum of money, so he was in a great mood.

He mocked the two fleeing men for a bit.

With one hand, Blake adjusted his clothes slightly, then leisurely lit the cigar he had been holding in his mouth all this time as he walked out the door.

Only then did he let go, casually tossing the grenade behind him into the armory.

"I've wanted to do that for ages, saving the room with the weapons for last, causing a massive explosion behind while walking calmly in front. This is the demeanor of a movie protagonist!"

Blake muttered to himself as he walked leisurely.

He remembered watching the Iron Man movie back then; even Tony Stark, during the missile test in Afghanistan, spread his arms wide, turning his back to the distant explosion in a cool manner.

"Boom!"

An explosion resounded, followed by a series of continuous blasts.

Blake slightly adjusted his walking posture to appear as upright as possible, with the soundtracks of countless classic film hero entrances playing in his mind.

He walked towards the manor gate with an air of confidence.

A true warrior never looks back at the explosion behind them.

The grenade's explosion triggered a series of chain reactions, blowing up the armory filled with firearms, explosives, and all kinds of weapons.

In total, it was equivalent to about 100 kilograms of TNT.

While 100 kilograms of TNT is just a speck compared to a nuclear explosion, its power is more than enough to demolish a small three- or four-story building.

The powerful shockwave first shredded a nearby box containing several handheld rocket launchers.

Several rocket launchers, propelled by the shockwave, shot off in all directions like iron rods at bullet-like speed.

Unfortunately, one of them flew straight towards Blake.

The more you try to stop yourself from doing something, the more you want to do it.

For instance, if you're on your phone and a friend of the opposite sex tells you not to look back while they change clothes, even if you have no intention to peek, you'll eventually feel the urge to glance.

Most people have this kind of psychology.

Blake was the same. Trying not to look back, he heard the increasingly intense explosions behind him and couldn't help but wonder if he should take a peek.

Just a quick look. No one's watching me now anyway, and I've already made my cool exit.

It should have exploded enough by now, right?

Unable to resist, he sneaked a glance back.

As soon as he turned his head, everything went black, and a dark, unknown object spinning towards him hit him squarely on the nose and eyes.

"Thud!" It struck him hard across his nose and eyes.

"Ow, my eye! Ow!"
