As Felix and Nixie entered the Audaz District, they were greeted by tall, elegant buildings lining the wide street.
Unlike the previous districts they had visited, where garbage littered the streets, Audaz was impeccably clean and luxurious. Even the bricks used to pave the streets is elegant.
The luxurious atmosphere was evident everywhere they looked, from the fancy clothes worn by the people walking by to the bricks that paved the streets.
Felix and Nixie walked around with curiosity in their eyes, attracting strange looks from the well-dressed locals who probably didn't expect two commoners in their midst. But they brushed off the stares and continued looking around with curiosity on their faces.
" Ok Nixie let's start searching for a good location for our restaurant " Felix said to Nixie.
After strolling around for a while, they realized that most of the good spots were either already taken or the shop owners were not interested in letting them in because of their appearance.
" Big bro these people are too much, how can they treat us like that, they didn't even bother to let us explain our purpose " Nixie pouted and complain.
Felix shook his head, no matter which world, there is always the discrimination against the poor.
Felix sank into deep thought if this goes on they can't buy a suitable land or shop to open their restaurant.
" Should I go and buy a few fancy clothes before coming back here. No this is a waste of time" Felix thought.
As Felix was lost in thought, he inadvertantly looked around and was immediately captivated, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Nixie, I think I've found the perfect location for our restaurant," Felix said eagerly.
"Where, where, show me!" Nixie skipped over to Felix and looked around.
"Over there," Felix pointed in a direction.
Nixie followed his gaze and saw a three-story building standing there.
"Look, Nixie, there are five streets intersecting nearby, indicating good traffic flow. There's plenty of space around the building, and if you look a few meters away, there's a brothel and an auction house across the street," Felix explained, pointing out various details.
Nixie confirmed everything he said."And a few kilometers away is the Adventurer Guild in Audaz District. To the left of the building, there's a gambling den. With all the people and carriages passing by on the wide street nearby, I'm sure we'll have plenty of customers if we buy this building for our restaurant location," Felix said with a grin.
"Wow, big bro, this building is in a great location," Nixie nodded with a smile.
"But do you think the owner will be willing to sell it to us?" Nixie asked anxiously.
"Why not? Look at the notice on the door, it says it's for sale," Felix pointed out.
"But will the owner let us in? Previous owners wouldn't even let us near their shops," Nixie worried.
"Who knows, but we have to try. Come on, let's go," Felix waved his hand and headed towards the building, with Nixie close behind.
A few moments later, Felix and Nixie arrived in front of the building, with the door wide open.
Felix looked around but didn't see any signboard or plaque.
He peeked inside, but the building was empty with nobody in sight.
"Hello, is there anyone inside?" Felix called out, but received no response.
He tried again, "Hello, is there anyone inside?"
Suddenly, a raspy and aged voice floated from inside the building.
"Who are you looking for?" Felix looked towards the voice and saw an old man walking out from what seemed to be a backroom.
"Hello, are you the owner of this building?" Felix asked politely.
"Yes, I'm the owner. And who might you be and what do you want?" the old man scrutinized Felix.
"Can we come in first before answering your questions?" Felix asked.
The old man nodded slightly, and Felix and Nixie entered the building.
"My name is Felix Morningstar, and this is my sister Nixie Morningstar," Felix introduced themselves.
"I saw the notice on the door saying this building is for sale, and I want to buy it."
"Oh, you want to buy this building?" the old man looked at Felix with interest.
"Can you afford it? Looking at you, I doubt that you can afford this building," the old man smiled as he sized up Felix.
" Old man what do you mean we can't afford, my big brother have money " Nixie retorted from th dise with a unhappy look.
"Nixie, keep quiet, don't talk," Felix immediately warned. Nixie pouted and turned her face away with a snort.
"Please, sir, forgive us. Don't take my little sister's words seriously," Felix apologized.
"Don't worry about it. I'm not going to get angry with a little girl," the old man waved his hand.
Felix heaved a sigh of relief and shot a threatening look at Nixie.
"Excuse me, sir. As I mentioned earlier, I am interested in purchasing this building. Are you willing to sell it to me?" Felix asked the old man with a serious expression.
"Well, I was actually planning to sell it anyway, but you do realize that things are quite pricey in the Audaz District, right?" the old man replied casually.
"Yeah, I'm aware of that," Felix nodded. "So, what's the price for this building?".
The old man gave Felix a scrutinizing look and replied, "The price for this building and the surrounding space is 10,000 Gold Coins."
"What do you mean, 10,000 Gold Coins for this building? Why don't you just go rob someone?" Nixie's sharp voice interrupted from the side.
Felix turned to Nixie with an angry glare and said, "Nixie, please be quiet."
Nixie snorted in response, shooting Felix an angry look.
"Sir, please excuse her behavior," Felix quickly apologized.
"It's alright. I understand that the price may seem steep, but it's a good location and worth it," the old man reassured.
"I'll take it," Felix declared.
"Oh, you're willing to pay 10,000 Gold Coins for it?" the old man seemed slightly surprised.
"Yes," Felix confirmed.
"Aren't you going to try to negotiate the price?" the old man inquired.
"Nope, I think the current price is fair," Felix replied with a smile.
"Alright then. When can we complete the formalities?" the old man asked.
"How about tomorrow? I'll bring the money and we can finalize everything," Felix suggested, a hint of excitement in his eyes.
