Mia hurried over with a dustpan and broom from the corner, her bright pink sneakers squeaking on the polished floor. "You're way too clumsy, Lily," she teased, as she began sweeping up the mess.
"I'm so sorry," Lily's eyes darted towards the door, and she jumped back, her heart racing.
"Ah, it's you! Wh-what are you doing here?!" she stuttered, adjusting her glasses. The frames slipped down her nose, and she pushed them back up, her hands shaking slightly.
