"Do you see that?"
"What madness!"
"Is he even human?"
"I almost feel sorry for those ghouls."
Everyone was astonished. A single man stood in that arena, facing hundreds of ghouls.
These pitiful creatures stood no chance against him! He slaughtered dozens and continued to cut down more.
"I don't think we need to intervene," one of the soldiers said.
"Does anyone know where I can find some wine?" The sound of roasting and the aroma of delicious food filled the air.
"Haha, I won this round." One soldier tossed the dice with a smirk.
"You're just lucky," replied another.
"Shut up, you're all so noisy," someone grumbled, annoyed at being unable to read in peace.
None of them cared about the dozens of ghouls at the hill below them. There was no reason to worry with that saint present.
On that night filled with laughter and celebration, a fourth-level gate was closed by a single saint.
While wiping the blood from his face, the military leaders playing cards welcomed the saint.
"Welcome back, Leonard. Or should we call you the Demon of the Evening, Leonard?"
They laughed and shared their joy.
"Bring me some food and wine, I'm exhausted," Saint Leonard smiled as he sat down, observing their cheerful faces.
Someone called out to him, "Have you heard the news, Leonard?"
He looked up and responded, "No, what news?"
"A saint was killed in Deepwood Forest, near Anvil Castle, by a Chaos Leader."
Leonard looked at him. "Hooh? And who was the saint that was killed?" He asked with a clear lack of interest.
"I don't know his name, but they said he was called Adrian."
A wicked smile appeared on Leonard's face. "Oh, you say Adrian? What a bad news..."
Jin moved out of the military compound, yawning. "I think I'll look for this Morgan tomorrow."
Jin had already asked about Commander Morgan, but for some reason, everyone avoided answering him or hurried away.
"What strange people," he sighed and continued toward the medical complex.
He entered his room and sat on the bed. He had already been transferred to a private room, far from the one he had been in the previous night.
Gazing at the ceiling, he said, "What a comfortable bed. I wish that old man were here to try it."
He sighed, a hint of sadness in his eyes.
Then he closed his eyes for a moment and began to imagine.
His fantasies were pleasant, envisioning himself as the owner of an herbal medicine shop.
"Heh heh heh, look who's rich now, you fools," he continued to imagine himself as a person of importance and similar things.
While he was lost in his fantasies, a voice emerged, shaking his very soul with great force and ringed in his ear... "We are the Will of Amun. Are you ready to answer?"
Jin shot up, shifting from a lying position to sitting, clutching his heart from the intense pain.
He looked around in pain, but there was no one there. "Ugh, Am I imagining things now?"
The pain in his heart increased until he passed out...
"Wake up, boy. Hello, can you hear me?" Someone shook his shoulder forcefully to wake him.
Jin opened his eyes slightly and heard someone calling him, "Hey, boy."
He began to regain his consciousness, but a sudden, unexpected slap jolted him fully awake.
"Ouch! What the fuck?" He rubbed his cheek, glaring angrily at the person who slapped him.
"Are you fucking crazy ! why did you slap me?" Jin shouted
"Oh, thank goodness you're alive! "
"Sorry for the slap. I thought you were dead," the person apologized.
"Who the hell slaps someone thinking they're dead? Who are you, and what the fuck you want from me?" Jin responded irritably, rubbing his cheek.
The man sighed, apologizing again. "I apologize. My name is Sai, Deputy to Commander Morgan. The commander sent me to bring you to him."
Jin looked at him with increasing annoyance, still rubbing his sore cheek. "Morgan, huh? Fine, I wanted to see him anyway."
Sai smiled. "Yes, yes, please follow me."
Jin followed him, his face still showing irritation, until they reached Commander Morgan's office.
"I have brought Adrian's grandson, Commander," Sai said, knocking on the commander's door.
"Enter," Morgan responded.
They both walked in, and Jin's first impression of Morgan was that he was a formidable figure—no, more like a beast.
"You are Adrian's grandson, correct?" Morgan asked.
"Yes, that's me. Do you know who my grandfather is?" Jin replied.
Morgan laughed. "Yes, I know him well. I used to hate him."
Jin bristled at this. "Huh, why do you hate him?"
Morgan chuckled. "Don't get me wrong, boy. I did hate him, but I also respect him deeply. Anyway, Elena told me you wanted to see me. So, what do you want?"
Jin looked at him, unsatisfied with his answer, then said, "Well, um, Elena told me you're strong enough to train me."
Sai, standing to the side, looked away, whistling with a terrified expression.
Morgan laughed heartily and blew smoke from his cigarette.
"You want me to train you, boy? Ha ha ha! I never thought Adrian's grandson would ask me that."
He then gave Jin a very serious look. "So, do you think you can handle my training?"
Jin answered firmly, "Yes, I don't think it could be worse than my grandfather's training."
Morgan smirked. "I believe you have two months to prepare for Lucaria. I promise, the training will be extremely gentle," he added with a cunning, sarcastic smile that indicated he was lying.
Jin shivered a little, muttering to himself, "Wait, have I gotten myself into something worse than the hell I endured with my grandfather?"
He looked at Morgan, who was smiling at him wickedly, then he glanced at Sai, who was still whistling and staring at the wall behind him, clearly wanting to stay out of this.
Jin moved closer to Sai and whispered, "Am I in trouble?"
Morgan watched them both, still smiling happily.
Sai quietly whispered back, "Yes, big trouble, and please don't drag me into it..."
Jin stormed out of Morgan's office, cursing, "Damn it, why is everyone here so annoying?" He lamented his luck, certain that Morgan's exercises would never go smoothly."
Jin arrived at the open restaurant within the military compound. "I suppose I'll eat something," he muttered.
He looked at the various personal dishes before him. The food was free for him, of course, as he had been recommended by Saint Park. He chose a chicken and rice meal, which came with a side of rice and vegetables, and began searching for a seat.
While he was looking, he saw Elena eating in a corner of the restaurant with another girl. Elena noticed him, waved, and called out, "Jin, Jin, come sit with us!"
Feeling a bit embarrassed, then he sat down opposite them. "Hello," he greeted.
Elena smiled. "How was your meeting with Morgan?"
Jin sighed. "Terrible."
Elena laughed lightly. "Don't worry, Commander Morgan is actually a nice person."
Jin sighed again. "Well, I hope so," he replied, then looked at the other girl who was smiling.
"So, who is this?" he asked.
Elena smiled and gestured to her friend. "This is one of my friends, Melina. She's beautiful, isn't she?"
Melina smiled and said, "Hello, Jin. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Jin, slightly embarrassed, looked away and replied, "The pleasure is mine."
They all began to enjoy their delicious meals. As Jin ate, the events of the previous evening came to mind, souring his mood a bit. He thought to himself, "What was that exactly...?"
His expression turned sour as he pondered and spoke to himself. Elena noticed and asked, "What are you thinking about? Is something bothering you?"
Jin hesitated a little, then said, "I fainted last night before I went to sleep somehow, and I don't know exactly how it happened." His expression grew more troubled.
Elena was surprised. "You fainted?"
"Yes," he replied. "
"All I remember is hearing some sort of voice before I fell asleep, but I'm not sure if the voice I heard was real or not."
"I also don't remember what I heard, but I was sure that when I heard that voice, I felt a sharp pain in my heart. It was so painful that I think I fainted because of it."
Elena looked at him with some concern, then asked, "You don't remember what the voice said?"
"No, I don't," he answered.
Melina, also puzzled, asked, "Do you think someone broke into your room?"
Jin replied, "No, I was sure there was no one in the room before I fainted."
Both girls were astonished. Elena then said, "Maybe you should see a doctor. It might be some physical or psychological symptoms from the forest incident."
Jin sighed slightly and nodded. "Yes, I think so ."
