yumiko woke up early, her body still aching from guy training, her first words in this beautiful morning where curses, who were directed towards kakashi of course.
without delay, she took a bath and wore her usual ninja attire.
Today she will meet her teammates
no doubt, they are older than her. after all, who graduate early in peace time?
her of course, she can bet that Hiruzen graduate her only to show off to the other villages that konoha created another genius
Does she care? no, because that only make her a target for the five great villages, as she can be a possible threat in the future
though her graduation didn't spread that much, meaning only academy teachers and students knew, with few other ninja
but most of them lost interest after hearing that she is an orphan with a civilian background.
she only hope that her teammates won't underestimate her or deem her unworthy because of her young age.
yumiko shrugged the thought, not caring anymore then took her leave and went the assigned place to meet her new teammates.
Upon reaching the training ground she was meet with two persons who seems to be on their early teens
without second thought, she went hiding between the trees to observe them properly, maintaining a safe distance in case they sense her. then started examining the two of them more
the first one is a boy, next to him was an average sized dog laying, the boy was leaning his back against the tree with crossed arms and closed eyes. red marks can be seen in his cheeks, he have short black curly hair and wear a plain black ninja attire.
she can guess he was from the Inuzuka clan.
honestly she is surprised to see one of her teammates from a minor clan
'that's good for me' she smiled at her luck, since the Inuzuka are good at smelling, meaning the possibility for them passing or surviving the exam is more.
turning to the person next to the Inuzuka was a girl, she was sitting under the same tree while supporting her back with it, her eyes also closed, the headband she wore was covering her forehead
she have long and straight brown hair, what yumiko took notice of is her hands who were covered in bandage. she can tell that she specialize in taijutsu.
before yumiko can pin point more things about her new teammates, a loud voice ranges in the training ground, who belonged to the Inuzuka boy
"would you come out or will you continue looking at us like a creep?" he exclaimed loudly after opening his eyes and looking at the direction she was hiding in sharply.
annoyance can be seen in his face, the dog who was laying beside him now growing on guard at the very same direction, how unlucky.
yumiko flinched at his sudden outburst, her eyes widening in surprise
'did he sense me? no, that's unlikely since I didn't feel any chakra field, so he probably smelled my sent...well, genma never trained me on hiding my chakra nor my sent' she sighed in disappointment
the girl next to the Inuzuka didn't seem fazed at his actions, as if she already know she had been watched from the very beginning.
yumiko got out from her hiding spot and said while raising her arms in surrouder "sorry! didn't mean to sound creepy! I was just curious about my new teammates that's all" she said politely with a small smile on her face, aware that her first impression is ruined because of her reckless actions
the girl next to him finally opened her eyes and got up while looking at yumiko for a few seconds then smiled as well "you must be our new teammate, welcome my name is Hyuga Natsuki and this is Inuzuka Seiza, it's nice to meet you"
yumiko was stunned 'a hyuga? I should really thank genma for putting me on a team with both teammates from prestigious clan'
yumiko was about to answer when she was rudely interrupted by the Inuzuka
"a brat? are you telling me our new teammate is a brat? how old are you? seven?" he said while looking at yumiko up and down, disappointment could be seen in his face "if that's the case then sensei didn't have to bother bringing you since we have sasamaru!" he smirked at her mockingly.
yumiko polite smile was wiped out as soon as she heard the boy, taken aback by his rude comment.
genma always told her that it was always better to be underestimated than overestimated
so she wasn't really bothered by the boy statement, what really bothered her is her being compared to a dog
before she can answer she was, again , interrupted by the hyuga girl
"Seiza" Natsuki hissed glaring at him with annoyance
Seiza in the other hand tsked and turned his head away
Natsuki turned her sight to the stunned red and black haired girl, her eyes softening
"I apologize on his behavior, don't bother with him, he is always like that...anyway, may I know your name?"
yumiko nodded then sighed, that is just too much, well its not like she have other choice
"my name is yumiko, just yumiko, nice to meet you" she smiled at the nice girl
Natsuki nodded then her face turned suddenly serious "now that the introduction is done, let's start with more important things, as you may know, the hyuga clan specialise in taijutsu who is known as the gentle fist, and the Inuzuka clan is known for being able to preform colaberation jutsu with thier companions who is in our case sasamaru" she pointed at the dog next to Seiza, yumiko nodded in understanding
"and without forgetting our sensing abilities, now that you know, do you have any aspect you Specializes in yumiko-chan?" asked Natsuki
yumiko pondered for a few seconds then answered truthfully "not really, my chakra affinity is wind and fire, I can perform many ninjutsu, my taijutsu is above average, I use the gunbai as a weapon since it suites my wind affinity and I can counter low-level genjutsu...that's all...I think"
both of them looked at her weirdly, and pondered 'what the heck is a gunbai?'
both of them didn't know gunbai is the weapon that the legendary Uchiha Madara wielded it both as a shield and as a mace
and they would never know, unless they survived till the fourth great ninja war.
or have interest in weaponry.
Natsuki cleared her throat and said with a smile "it's good to have another member who specializes in mid-range attack, our team previously lacked in elemental ninjutsu, so it's good!"
yumiko nodded at her then asked "anyway about your sensei...I think genma told me that he won't teach me anymore since I am officially in this team, so where is your, sensei?"
Seiza suddenly had an evil smirk, and that made her quite uneasy
