what made it more exciting is that the Third Tsuchikage will be watching along with the earth daimyo
as always the proctors of the exams were all tokubetsu jonin, so there wasn't a person from the show, and if there was, yumiko wasn't able to identify them
for now her main priority is showing off, since winning wasn't her main purpose
"Seiza, yumiko, Natsuki if your opponent was stronger than you, please don't hesitate to surrender, your life matter to our village don't forget that" Hayate said seriously then coughed

after it was cleared the sand ninja spoke mockingly "seems like konoha has shortage in genin to sent a kid like you, I advice you to surrender brat, I really don't want to beat you up"
yumiko didn't pay any mind to his words, instead she observed him like a hawk.
after doing so, shw decided that the only safe way to defeat him is by fighting in long distance using either her Gunbai or wind jutsus
since suna is Well known for it's poison and puppetry

the ninja ahead of her frowned at being ignored by a kid, so he slowly unwraped the puppets behind his back while replying slowly "so that's what you want. very well"
the proctor looked at both of them before signalling to begin "begin!"
quickly yumiko jumped away, adding some distance between them
and while doing so, she took a scroll out of her pocket opening it and adding chakra to it
she was greeted by a puff of smoke then after it cleared a Gunbai was seen in her hand

'this won't be easy' yumiko thought seriously after seeing two puppet as she watched his very move
With a flick of his fingers the two puppets mouths suddenly opened spitting many senbon who has a purple liquid at the end of them
yumiko quickly put some chakra in her Gunbai turning the chakra into wind, then swiftly waves her Gunbai
all the senbon scattered on the ground as the genin she is facing was caught off guard
yumiko used this moment of distraction to her own advantage, performed a hand sign for fire ball jutsu in her right hand
after taking a deep breath she quickly spit the fire ball
the sand ninja knowing his mistake, quickly flickered away
'damn I look like Madara right now, with the fire jutsu and Gunbai' yumiko grinned as she avoided the kunais thrown at her
'he's not bad, but also not good, I should be careful to not be scratched by his senbons or else I'll be poisoned'
being tired of dodging kunais and senbon,
yumiko finally decided to attack
with making four wind clones who can be
dispelled easley than shadow clone.
she made them go to the ninja and throws kunais and shuriken at him
they were easily dodged by the two puppets
but that gave her time as she took out five kunais with her right hand, throwing them at the sand ninja
then she used the great Breakthrough jutsu to fasten their speed
after the clones served their purpose, which is distracting him
they stopped dodging the puppets and dispelled themselves.
the ninja moved his fingers to dodge the coming kunais with his puppets
seeing the opportunity, yumiko shunshin while adding extra speed that she was holding it back to catch the ninja off guard
she appeared behind him, then in a swift motion she held a kunai against his neck
the sand ninja was speechless and the arena was quite
'seems like konoha have another prodigy' Onoki frowned as he thought bitterly 'and that Gunbai..'
the silence was cut short by the proctor announcement "winner is yumiko of the leaf!" he said loudly
after that, people started cheering loudly, replacing the silence that was moments ago
yumiko moved away from the ninja facing him
"if you didn't underestimate me the battle would probably last longer" she said calmly while smiling and eyes closed
the ninja eye twitched as he cursed her "fucking brat" yumiko smile widen, then without wasting time, she shunshin to the waiting room
"that was crazy! did you see the silence in the arena? seems like many had lost their bet on the sand ninja!" Seiza laughed
"you did well yumiko" said Natsuki calmly with her stoic face "it seems like they didn't expect you to win" she smirked
"thanks..." yumiko chuckled
unfortunately, team Hayate was in their own world, unaware of the wary looks yumiko was receiving
well she herself feel somewhat exposed, since she lost one of her secret cards;
age gap, since people tends to underestimate her because of her age, which always result in her winning
