Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE: BLOOD

"Agatha, you heard Caspian, it's a dangerous war, you can't be there," Kethan cautioned.

"This is a dangerous kingdom, and I'm here," I remarked.

"Caspian, prepare for the war. We will be leaving in a few hours,'' Kethan announced.

"Agatha, this is a dangerous war, are you sure?" Kethan stubbornly asked.

"I'd rather be with you Kethan," I replied almost immediately, to prove that I had indeed made up my mind.

Kethan just stood there, staring at me but I ignored him.

His gaze mercilessly followed me everywhere that I found myself saying.

"Don't stare at me like that Kethan," I whispered.

It was time to leave for war, his mother was there to bid us goodbye, but neither the king nor his brothers was there.

They definitely wish he never returned.

Caspian came forward to me with a horse.

"What's that for?" I asked, perplexed.

"Your horse my lady," he replied, smiling.

"I can't ride a horse," I blurted out.

Kethan immediately looked at me, and so did his mother and Caspian.

"So how did you intend to follow us," Kethan asked, ogling at me in shock.

"By riding with you," I announced, grinning.

I hurriedly got on Kethan's horse, before he could say anything to stop me.

And he climbed after me, sitting behind me.

"You really think this war is a joke," he whispered from behind.

Ignoring his statement, we began the journey.

A few hours later, I was clutching onto my stomach.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"No, I don't feel great, my stomach feels mixed. I'm going to puke,'' I blurted out.

"Wait, have you ever traveled on a horse?" He asked.

"Never, are we almost there yet?" I returned his question.

"We just used our first few hours, it's 7 days of travel," he replied.

"Huh, you didn't tell me this when I said I was tagging along," I murmured.

"You didn't ask, you regret it already," he asked.

"Not yet, can I turn around to face you? I need a hug and I'm sleepy," I announced.

"Do you want us to take a break?" He immediately asked.

"No, I want you to spin me around so I can hug you," I insisted.

In seconds, he grabbed me with an arm and spun me around to face him, our eyes met.

"That was fast," I murmured.

I looked at his face, then looked at the other men trailing behind us.

"Wait, shouldn't you be sweaty and tired?" I asked, surprised he looked brand new.

"Sleep," he whispered.

I immediately rested my head on his chest, cuddling him on the horse and I could swear I felt him flinch.

"Tell me if you are uncomfortable," I muttered, loud enough for him to hear me clearly.

"I'm not," he coldly replied, stroking my hair from behind to motion me to sleep.

When I woke up, I was no longer on the horse, I was in a tent.

I looked around for Kethan, and when I didn't find him, I stormed out, screaming his name.

I found him drilling hunted meat alongside his men, they were looking so comfortable around him.

"For a second, I thought you left me," I blurted out.

"I wouldn't," he calmly replied.

"Good day lady Agatha," the men said in unison.

"Hi everyone," I replied grinning, sitting beside my husband.

"Goodnight, everyone, we will begin a new journey early tomorrow morning. Please rest well," Kethan announced.

"But I haven't eaten yet," I protested, pouting.

"There's a lot to eat right there where you are seated." Kethan retorted.

I quickly picked up some piece of meat and ran after him, into our tent.

By the time I was done eating, Kethan was fast asleep. I slugged him into my arms in an attempt to pat him to sleep, even though he was already asleep.

When I woke up, we had already started a new journey and I was resting on Kethan.

I slept all through the journey, and when I opened my eyes again, we were riding into a kingdom.

"Where are we?" I asked in a sleepy voice.

"Neighboring Kingdom. C'mon let's go in,"

We got into the kingdom and were given a room.

I quickly took a shower while Kethan went to talk with the king.

When he got back, I quickly poked my nose into what they discussed.

"What did you talk about?" I asked, trailing behind him.

"Strengthening my army with some of his men," he replied.

"Did he agree to it," I asked.

"No, the war is a dangerous one. He refused to send any of his men," Kethan announced.

"Oh wow, and the girl all over you?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"The king's daughter," he coldly replied.

"And you let her touch you? I thought we didn't like someone touching us," I asked, clearly pissed.

"We? She didn't touch me, Agatha, she was barely sitting close to me," he stated, walking towards the shower.

"What's the difference," I yelled out, pouting.

"Are you jealous?" He asked, giving a faint smile.

"Yes! I mean no," I blurted out.

"Wait, I think I saw you smile," I added

"Do it again," I protested.

"Are you going with me into the shower, a lot could happen in there," he asked out of nowhere.

"Yes, huh no," I sheepishly answered, leaving the way so he could pass.

"I thought about this war, it's so dangerous and I think you should stay here. I will be back to pick you up," Kethan announced.

"No," I retorted.

"Agatha, it's a war. A dangerous one, just stay here alright," he pleaded.

"No, just kiss me in case I die, or you will regret it," I replied grinning.

"Where on earth did you come from?" He asked, shocked.

"Since the war is tomorrow, I'll just sleep to avoid dozing off at the brink of being slaughtered," I responded, lying on my pillow.

I could feel his eyes on me, but I would rather be with him at war than be in a strange kingdom or a dangerous kingdom.

*****************************

Cries and screams echoed everywhere around me, trembling, I flung my eyes open.

Looking around, we were no longer in the kingdom, I was there in Kethan's arms.

"Where are we?" I whispered in fear.

"At war."
