I raised my head slowly to get a clearer view of Kethan's face, reaching out to touch his face.
"Where were you," I whispered, unable to speak properly.
"I'm sorry Agatha, I wanted to clear my mind. Who did this to you?" He asked again, grunting in anger.
A warm smile appeared on my face, who would have thought he would react this way to me getting beat up?
"Can you walk?" He sweetly whispered.
"Promise me you won't fight anyone," I demanded in a mumble, staring deep into Kethan's eyes.
"I'll get you something to eat," he replied, turning away to ignore my warnings.
I gazed at him as he stepped out of the room, gathering the remaining strength I had left, I crawled towards the bed, pulling myself up, I landed defenceless on the bed, whimpering in pain.
Kethan returned with food he got from God knows where as I leveled my head, looking at him in shock.
"Where did you get that from?" I asked, alarmed.
"I stole it," he calmly replied, returning the stare.
"That definitely has consequences," I murmured, protesting against the idea of stealing meals from the royal kitchen.
"Agatha no one saw me," he muttered, placing the food down, he sank beside me into the mattress.
"Come here," he slowly added, carefully lifting me to sit. I moaned in pain as his hands curled into my wounded body.
"I will kill them all," he declared in spite.
"No you won't, I don't want you getting into any trouble. Promise me," I demanded anxiously.
"Eat and get some rest," Kethan insisted, cutting me off.
"Kethan…" I pleaded in discomposure.
"Agatha, eat!" He cautioned, laying on his back to rest.
I puffed out a sigh of relief when he laid down to sleep, I cannot afford him falling into any trap set by his brother at the moment.
I quickly swallowed the meal and lay next to Kethan, clutching onto his shirt.
"Why?" Kethan asked, alarmed, gazing at my little wounded hands strongly gripping his shirt.
"I can't afford to have you leave this bed until morning. You might attempt to sneak out while I'm asleep," I blurted out, determined.
Silence descended between us, he stared at me and I stared back, firm about it.
For a second, I forgot about the pain and the torture I went through for the whole day.
"I won't sneak out Agatha… I will walk out of this room and you won't even suspect a thing. Grasping onto my shirt this hard can't stop me," he blurted out emotionlessly.
"Huh! Kethan that sounded like a threat/a challenge. I won't let go," I announced, clutching onto him even tighter, ignoring the pain.
"Shh… rest," he replied, and due to the uncontrollable stress I went through for the day, I passed out.
**********************
screams, pleas, and cries filled my hearing as I flung my eyes open, alarmed.
It was just dawn, harkening to the sound of a rooster crowing in the distance.
I looked at Kethan who was supposed to be beside me but he was nowhere to be found.
My skin went pale and my heart pounded inside my chest like a high school drum.
"Kethan," I murmured, startled.
I jumped out of bed when the pain from a day ago quashed my whole body, hitting differently and painfully.
I cried out in pain, suppressing the urge to lie back down without moving an inch, but knowing Kethan was in danger, I ignored the pain and stormed out of the room.
My mouth hangs open in shock, the guards that were commanded to drag me into the kitchen by the acting king lay there powerlessly yelling in pain, broken legs and arms as Kethan flings them to the floor heartlessly, his eyes bloodshot and scary.
"Kethan…" I yelled out, trying to stop him from hurting anyone else because of me, but my voice felt useless wrapped under the angry vibes that aroused from Kethan.
Done with the men, he walked towards the ladies responsible for beating me up in the royal kitchen yesterday and my heart skipped a beat.
"Kethan…no…no," I yelled, stretching my arms to stop him, unable to move.
"Which of them coordinated it?" Kethan asked in a menacing tone and I immediately obediently pointed at the coordinator of my tragic experience in the royal kitchen a day ago, pouting.
"Right she deserves to be punished," I thought to myself, rolling my eyes in acceptance.
I looked at the royal maid with a look that said "It's your turn to be beaten up."
Terrorized, she moved back in fright, shivering with every step Kethan took closer to her.
"A man… isn't allowed… to… beat up a lady," she stammered, shaking as tears slid down her cheeks.
Kethan paused and stormed into our chamber and when I assumed he left her because he couldn't beat up a lady, he walked out of our chamber dressed in one of my precious Cinderella gowns kept for a special occasion, like when he becomes king.
"T…that's mine," I stammer, completely confused.
Kethan walked closer looking like a crazy grumpy stinky stinking young man thrown into a balloon gown. It was most like he was floating inside the gown.
"Do I still look like a man?" He blunted out shamelessly staring at the lady with a threatening glance.
Unable to swallow my shock I busted into a sarcastic laugh.
The lady stood there dumbfounded, unsure about what her last speech should be.
"P…please I…" she begged in panic.
"How did she hurt you?" Kethan asked, staring at the lady in anger.
"They slapped, punched, kicked, and even whipped me while repeatedly calling me a slave," I blurted out in a hurry, staring from the maid to Kethan.
"They?" Kethan asked me to be certain.
"Yes, they," I responded, staring at the ladies involved in a threatening way.
They promptly fell to their knees In Front of me begging for forgiveness.
"Lady Agatha, we are sorry, we were commanded to do it by her," they murmured in unison, pointing at the already lifeless coordinator.
"I didn't force you all to obey me," their coordinator denied in fear.
"What do you want me to do to them?" Kethan asked, sending me a soft glance.
"Let them go, I don't think they can handle your wrath. They will be dead before then and I don't want their blood on your hands," I blurted out, satisfied.
"This is my wife, you can all do whatever you like with me, but if anyone dares to touch my wife, even when I'm dead I will rise from the dead to punish you." Kethan declared with determination and challenge written boldly on his face.
"And how dare you question my authority, Kethan?" Drystan appeared out of nowhere.
