Marcus
I threw another chair across the room, Kyng and Rico just stood there as I growled and sneered. Cage is going to lose the baby if I don't see him, but I can't think of the idea of giving up my kid.
"This was a bad idea, I didn't think it'd affect me this way." I snapped sitting on the couch.
"The Dr. has seen him three times this month, the baby spotted moving and his bleeding again, Marcus you need to be with him." Rico explained.
"I can't tell you the last time he's eaten anything. Colt has watched over him, and he just stays curled up on the bed." Kyng spoke this time with a stern voice. I've only heard that kind of voice once.
"You knew what you were getting yourself into, no one knew you two would mate, but to save them both you need to be there." At that moment Dragon ran into the room huffing.
"Cage… drug…. Overdose." I bite my nails, thorn between love and hate for what Cage did. Is seeing me that important that he'd killed himself. Just as my eyes landed on Colt he rushed over and slapped me across the face.
"You mated him, then tortured him like this…"
"It's not any different from what Kyng has done to you," the hall went silent as I realized the words that came out of my mouth.
"I'll give you a pass just this one time," Kyng snapped walking past me. The nurse escorted me to Cage's room, seeing him hooked up. He looked sleeping, two bands wrapped around his belly monitoring the baby. The nurse standing checking the machines,
"Oh, Mate, hello, I'm Dr. Oaka, Cage is looking good, however I'm worried about the babies, they're not too happy right now." she smiled slightly as I walked over to him. His belly had rounded out sticking up a bit. He shouldn't show this much yet.
"He's only five months, why does he look further?"
"Oh, Dr. Reed didn't inform you, Cage is having triples. But if we don't do something about the condition now he'll lose them."
"Three," the room echoed and I noticed Dragon, Colt, Kyng and Rico stood in the doorway gasping.
"Now who's making a football team?" Kyng snapped cheerfully and I turned back and kissed Cage's hand.
After two hours with Cage, I meant with kyng in the waiting room.
"How's he doing?"
"Still stable, you guys should go home to your kids, I'll call you."
"Be relieved, he's alive, and the kids are holding their own." Kyng said
"Hey, look at it this way, you get to keep two kids." Rico hunched his shoulder and all I could do was smile. We sat and chatted. Kyng took me off run and orders for three weeks while Cage got better. I stayed at the hospital with Cage. Dr. Oaka moved him to labor and delivery just as precaution since his womb was showing thinner than normal.
Throughout the next two weeks Cage stayed knocked out, I said a million time why wasn't him waking up but their was no answer Dr. Oaka said he should've woken up days ago. So now there is nothing to do but to sit and wait. I can't leave him, because my presence is keeping the babies stable.
"Cage, I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm here and I'll be here. I know I did you dirty by disappearing, anyway, we're having three babies, you need to wake up before they get out." I kissed his forehead.
"Ok, Daddy, time for his ultrasound to see what the babies are doing in there." Dr. Oaka walked in with another nurse and a machine. I sat in the corner of the room watching curiously.
"Wow," I jumped to my feet
"What?" Dr. Oaka smiled and waved me over, laying on the bed was a wide eyed Cage looking at the screen crying. I grabbed his hand and kissed his forehead,
"There's three babies…"
"Yup, looks like two boys and one girl. They are holding stable enough. I'm comfortable with sending you home tomorrow." Dr. Oaka patted Cage's leg and left.
"You're here," Cage whimpered weakly
"I'm sorry, I was a coward. But I'm here now." The tightness in my chest that was so painful, was now starting to ease up as if I was being released for a thorn bush.
Walking into the house with Cage he started to walk to the cage room and Kyng stopped him.
"This way Cage," I motioned for him to follow me standing outside with Xaver and Xander Colt standing in front of a house hut house. Rico and Dragon and Kyng worked hard for two weeks to build this small two bedroom hut for us. We'll still be on the grounds and be watched over until the babies are born. We can choose to stay or leave after. Inside was a standard breakfast nook and living area, around the corner was a bathroom, and two bedrooms side by side. Cage gaped looking at Kyng,
"Don't thank me, and don't forget the girl is mine," Kyng snapped and left.
"I didn't furnish the hut, but I did get you baby supplies." Colt walked closer to Cage, who took a step behind me.
"Here's the keys. The internet passwords and channels are here." Colt handed me a folder of papers, he hugged me then left.
"Sit and watch tv. Are you hungry?" as on cue his stomach growled loudly. We busted out laughing.
"I take that as yes,"
"Please just toast for now." Cage rubbed my arm as he shuffled into the living area awkwardly sitting on the couch, I forgot the Dr. told him no screeching his belly.
"Here, I'll help you." I folded him into my arms and laid him on the couch. I kissed his forehead and headed back to the kitchen. I looked up at him giggling at the tv. Supernatural Dean screaming at a cat. I noticed the tightness in my chest was gone and Cage's color wasn't pale as before. I sat the plate down and pulled his feet to my lap.
"How about we go swimming later." I suggested he looked at me as the toast mid bit and his glass blue eyes blinking rapidly I laughed.
"I'm BIG," he said, waving his hand around his ground belly. And I couldn't pass up the chance to kiss my babies.
