He activated Nightshade's true power—a shadowy aura enveloped the blade, making it almost invisible in the dim arena light. With a quick step, Damien darted behind Korvath, slashing at the back of his knee with the enhanced blade.
The hit landed, deeper than the last one, and Korvath let out a pained shout as his leg buckled slightly. Damien didn't wait—he pulled back, blending into the shadows as Korvath swung wildly behind him, trying to catch him off guard.
