As Delilah got into her car later that evening ready to leave the office, her phone buzzed with a phone call, and when she saw it was from Mrs. Jenkins at the orphanage, Delilah answered, her tone immediately softening. "Hello, Mrs. Jenkins. How are you?"
"Hello, Delilah dear. I'm doing well, thank you. I just wanted to call and thank you for your recent donation. It has been incredibly helpful," Mrs Jenkins said, and Delilah smiled, feeling a sense of fulfillment.
"I'm glad to hear that. Please let me know if there's anything else the little ones need. I will be happy to help."
"Thanks. I will," Mrs Jenkins said, and just when Delilah thought their conversation was over and was about to drop her phone and start the car, Mrs. Jenkins spoke again.
