It was 5:56 am in the morning and the sun was just rising to meet Ezra standing by the window of his study, his eyes looking straight ahead, lost in the snow falling outside, he had changed his cloth back into his usual robe and he had his hand deeped into his pocket, just then Melvin strolled in with a black necklace in his hand, "so?" Ezra asked without turning to face him and Melvin dropped the necklace then wiped his hand "the inn has being existing for a very long time, since Igidd city was founded but according to the folks it has a deadly story attached to it. The inn used to be for lovers, it used to be a very luxurious inn with the name Home of cupid and it could only contain one couple and the inn's owner, the rich loved things like that and they bidded high amounts to sleep in the inn with their lovers, people came from far and near all wanting to experience the unforgettable experience of sleeping in the inn, it was said that you only needed to say what you wanted in the inn and it would be done magically, people wanted to experience exactly that. But things changed soon, you know humans, they soon began to get curious about the source of the magic, they wanted that magic for themselves they wanted to get things done without moving an inch, they searched and presented many theories but all their efforts always went in vain until one night, a witch hunter, one of the three surviving, visited the inn with his newly wedded wife, from what his wife told the people, he felt strange on entering the inn but he ignored the feelings and decided to enjoy his stay until the magic began to happen, his wife was so excited but he couldn't be, he could feel it was the ability of a witch and he couldn't hold his urge, he traced the power until he found the witch doing her thing in the inn's basement, he had confronted her and she promised she meant no harm that she just wanted to make people happy, he didn't trust her but he let her be after placing a spell to watch her movements and when the sun walked out in the morning he left the inn with his wife. He never had intentions of harming the witch until money got involved, the elites in the city who wanted the magic from the inn to themselves began to offer large amount of wealth to anybody who could find the source of the magic and bring it to them, the witch hunter and his wife felt it was a good and easy way to make money so he headed for the inn the following day with his wife as couples again, he tried to use hallucination spell on the witch but he was shocked to find out how strong she was, the spell didnt work on her, the witch felt betrayed, she told him she knew of the spell he had placed on her to watch her movement but she had allowed it because she wanted to put his mind at rest in anger she wiped all his memories and sent him to his wife but that didn't do him well, he became so dumb, his brain was blank that he had no idea how to speak, his wife got angry about the witch's doing and she told the town about the witch in the inn using her husband as evidence she told the people how evil the witch was, the people went hyper, they stormed the inn with the rest of the witch hunters and fished her out, they asked her to heal the witch hunter but she firmly refused and they burned her to ashes, mysteriously the following morning the the spot where the witch was burned was completely cleaned and even her ashes was no where in sight the people ignored it but their days of peace didn't last, a new person was asked to manage the inn by the town's authority and the following week the witch hunter's wife and the rest of the witch hunters died mysteriously, months later the real horror began, every couple who visited the inn wouldn't return at first the people were silent about it until they found the bloodied corpse of those missing couples in the town's canal, they immediately sent reports to the authorities but all those who were sent there lost their lives, another batch was sent, a more powerful one but they also lost their lives, the inn was immediately casted away from the city but the killings didn't stop, for the first two years the town lost several lives then everything seized immediately and all the killings stayed in the inn, since that year anybody who visited the inn would loose their life" Melvin told, he picked the cup of water by his side took a gulp and sighed then he picked the black necklace he had brought with him and poured the rest of the water on it washing the blackness on it away, "look at this" he said to Ezra as he walked to him and Ezra turned "does this necklace look familiar?" Melvin asked, Ezra looked at it for a while and nodded negatively without any change in his cold and expressionless face, Melvin sighed and sifted the necklace to him then he pointed to the words engraved on it "Adrian's bride, Eleanor" he read and Ezra frowned "those are my parent's name" Ezra said his eyes looking strangely at the necklace "this was the first gift the master gifted my mistress after their marriage, she wore it all through till she was discovered to be a witch by the vampires but it disappeared the night she was burned to ashes, I went back with the master to search for it when we were gathering her ashes but it was no where to be found, we had thought it burned with her so we stopped searching. I found this when I was in the basement of the inn gathering my searchs" Melvin said, Ezra took the necklace and looked at it carefully to see how old it was, "it's indeed very old and it isn't fake, there is every possibility that this is what my mother wore but even though I was young when she was burned I knew my mother never left Grey moon city since I grew older, she was always around I and my father and when we got busy she was always with you so how is it possible that her necklace is in the basement of a lover's inn in the surburds of Igidd city?, Or is it possible that the person who made the necklace made two" Ezra said his brows furrowed "the master made the necklace by himself and he made just one, it doesn't make sense that he would make two exact necklace for one person" Melvin said and Ezra went silent in thoughts "is it possible for a witch to make herself appear in two places? or create an illusion of her in one place while she is another?" Ezra asked "not really, but it's very possible for a witch as powerful as my mistress..., that is also possible, she might have made herself appear in the basement of that inn in igidd city while she was with us in Grey moon city, my Mistress was somebody who loved peace and happiness it wouldn't be strange for her to want to spread it since her movement was limited in Grey moon city but how come she was burnt twice?" Melvin muttered and Ezra sinked into another thought, just then a loud scream spread across the estate and Ezra disappeared immediately, while Melvin grabbed his medicine bag.
