Chapter 1 - Cp1 "Bloodstained Rain"

3:06 October/2024

"Urgh, It's three o'clock already.. "

"Feel tired and sleepy.. "

Trying to shake the drowsiness from my mind, I opened the drawer in front of the passenger seat next to me to get a can of Pepsi, but I only found some strange medicines. I did not know who put them there. It seemed to be my partner .

"Damn it, Jack, did he forget his medication? Where did the Pepsi cans go? I'm almost going crazy "

On my way home after long hours of work, you can tell how I miss my bed from the dark circles under my eyes.

"This work is very tiring. Should I resign from my job as a policeman and find another job with shorter working hours "

But the idea quickly left my head. I can hear the my wife screaming at me from now on. It is very scary

"Let's not think too much and go home to rest "

" But man, when will the rain stop? It's been a week already. Damn it, I hate rain, it's depressing "

I noticed a sign on the side of the road, as it was already hard to see in the downpour [Rock Village] I made it home. Anyway, it's a nice little village. My wife and I moved to it because it's close to where I work.

I parked the police car in a designated place next to the entrance to the village. I hate this, but I have to walk to the village. For some reason, vehicles are forbidden from entering the village, even though the road is not far away the rain is annoying.

" But what's with this Amish lifestyle The first time I came here, they kept shouting that I had to get the car out of here and that I had to walk to the village. They hate technology and weirdos. "

" Urgh, I should stop complaining and walk fast "

While I was walking on the muddy road and stepping in puddles of water, I continued walking, barely able to maintain my speed because the storm above me made every step more difficult, and the thick mud was attracting my new shoes.

"These shoes are new. I wonder if Margaret will let me into the house with all this mud "

I stumbled over my words, cursing whoever might be responsible for this horrific storm. A bolt of lightning struck the sky. Deafening ears I paused as I stared at the bolt of thunder, realizing that it came from the direction of the village!

" Wt "

My thoughts started racing faster than I could move, and my eyes widened as a foreboding feeling coursed through me. It's smoke. I can see smoke and fire too. I quicken my pace. The rain continued to fall, drenching me to the bone as I continued toward my destination

" Damn it better not be thunder hitting my house Margaret I hope I'm wrong "

As I rushed forward into the village, I stopped in shock and horror when what I had in mind came true. little house having a gaping burnt hole where the lighting had struck. The roof was in shambles and the windows destroyed. I ran the rest of the way inside, screaming, hoping to get a response. "Margaret! My dear, where are you!?"

As I screamed loudly, I frantically searched the area of the house, desperately searching for any signs of my wife in this mess. I was calling out names as my mind raced trying to calm my nerves, but I froze dead in my tracks when he reached the bedroom. The bedroom door swung open, revealing a large creature inside, a monster unlike anything he'd ever seen before, and my eyes widened in absolute horror.

" Wha.."

My mind was racing as every possible thought was filling my mind, too many things in one moment. Where is Margaret? What is this creature? What is going on here? As I stumbled, my view of the creature, I only noticed as I reached down and pulled out a pistol, raised it at the monster and fired shot after shot, as the monster quickly closed the distance. The shots that hit the monster seemed to do nothing, as he fell on me, knocking the gun out of my hand. I stared in pure horror with the creature on me, as it opened its murderous mouth slightly, ready to kill me

"Damn it...*

As drops of blood fell from the creature's mouth, blood dripped from the many small holes made by the bullets from the gun. His lifeless body fall, breathing heavily as I tried to comprehend what had just happened. My clothes were wet with blood and rain, and I had to suppress my urge to vomit because I felt blood from the monster's mouth dripping into my mouth. I killed the monster, but now all I could think about was where was my wife!?

" Margaret, where are you, my dear? F**k all this. Am I in some kind of movie? What is this "

"Focus, this is not the time to wonder. I have to find Margaret "

I picked up my gun on the floor

 called frantically for my wife

"Margaret, if you are here, please answer!" and frantically searched every room and closet in the house. I became more nervous as time passed without any response, and the tension in my body increased as the seconds passed.

But I found no trace of my wife anywhere. With no other idea of what to do, I turned to the door to go out and look for her outside, but what I encountered made me freeze in horror when I saw the sight in front of me. A group of monsters could be seen in the distance, walking straight towards the house with a menacing look in their eyes.

"What is this? He is not alone in what is happening in this village"

"Damn, I need to find something. Damn it, I'm not going to die here from those ugly monsters"

Back home, into the bedroom I shoved my hand under the bed while frantically reaching for the shotgun that was hidden there until I found it. I grabbed the gun along with the ammunition box.

" I never thought I would use it in such situations..."

Before I rushed out of the room and into the kitchen, I took out a large kitchen knife from the drawer.

When the first monster entered the ruined entrance, I was ready for it. I immediately raised my gun and fired, the pellets hitting the creature in the chest and sending it flying out. The monster was injured, but he was not in good condition yet. He let out a terrifying screaming sound, before I saw another monster attacking me with an expression full of rage. I barely managed to dodge its onslaught, stumbling into the creature's path.

" So slow, do you think I'm a policeman from nothing "

When the creature attacked me, I only had a moment to act. As he was about to pounce, I reached for the kitchen knife and with one quick motion cut his chest. The monster let out a screeching sound as it fell to the ground motionless. I paused to catch my breath

I stepped back, breathing heavily, unable to tear my gaze from the horde of monsters that stood before me. The creatures continued to stare at me with their cold, dead eyes, not a single one moving a muscle. my heart race

"Get out of my way, you ugly bastards*"

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to make a move. With a defiant scream, I burst out of the door, sprinting furiously at the monsters in an attempt to fight them. As I ran, I fired the shotgun into their bodies, sending them crashing back, before I quickly stabbed and slashed at them with my sharp knife. Blood splattered everywhere, the monsters' screams filling the air, but I wouldn't stop until every last one of them was dead. I was driven by anger, fear, and the need to find my wife.

I collapsed in the mud, the rain continuing to fall around me and mix with the blood that had spilled all over. The smell of the blood was sickening, and the smell of the mud mixed with blood was even worse. I lay there, panting heavily, trying to catch my breath and recover from the intense battle.

"I can't believe this is happening... where is my wife? Is she safe? What horrors have I just witnessed " I thought to myself as I continued to lie there on the ground, drenched from head to toe.

My eyes widened as I noticed the light that came from the nearby church building. All of the houses in the village were dark and abandoned, but the church's lights were lit. My heart began to race as hope filled me.

"Could my wife have taken refuge in the church?"

It was possible, and the thought of her being safe somewhere nearby filled my heart with hope and determination.

My adrenaline was still pumping as I stood up, gripping my rifle tightly. I sprinted to the church, reaching the door quickly due to the new motivation that filled me. I knocked loudly on the door, calling out for my wife. "Margaret! Are you in there? Please, my love, respond if you can hear me!"

After a few short minutes of waiting, I heard a soft voice from within the church, calling out my name. Without hesitation, I pushed open the door and stepped inside.

I quickly stepped inside, I was met with the dark interior of the church. The light from outside dimly lit the room, providing just enough illumination for me to see. My eyes frantically scanned the large room for any sign of my wife, worry and relief mixing together inside me. "Margaret! Where are you, my love?" I called out, my voice echoing against the stone walls.

My heart leapt in my chest as the end of the church suddenly lit up, my eyes fixated on the figure, shrouded in a long robe and hooded. I couldn't see their face, but the hope that it could be my wife filled me with anticipation. I hesitated for only a moment, then hastily approached the figure, my thoughts racing in my head. As I got closer, I called out her name,

"Margaret? Is that you?"

As the figure turned towards me, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was my wife, Margaret! There she was, looking at me with her beautiful brown hair and piercing blue eyes. A small mole that I had always loved rested beside her eye, instantly recognizable to me. My heart swelled with joy as I rushed over to her, wrapping my arms around her in a tight embrace.

"You're okay! Thank goodness you're safe!"

My mind went numb as I felt a burning pain shoot through my stomach, shocking me out of my state of relief. I slowly looked down, only to see my wife's hand gripping the handle of a knife, which was buried deep within my abdomen. My mind struggled to process what was happening, the shock and disbelief taking over me. "What...Wha-What is this?" I gasped, my voice weak as I felt the warm blood trickling down my stomach.

The pain and shock overwhelmed me, coupled with the exhaustion I had felt from my previous battle. I groaned in pain, my strength leaving me as I felt blood flowing from my wound. My head began to swim as I collapsed to the ground, finally losing consciousness as the world around me faded into darkness.
