In the center of the cave, there was a giant pearl, as big as a basketball, perfectly round and translucent, its surface covered in runes and enveloped by a thin membrane.
Surrounding the pearl, a youth in a gray robe, with a hunched figure, sat cross-legged. He was very thin, resembling a skeletal frame with bones jutting out, and ghostly blue flames flickered in the hollows of his eye sockets.
This youth exuded an evil aura, putting Lin Yi on alert; he sensed that this youth was no ordinary person.
That youth was the young man of the Human Clan he had been searching for.
Lin Yi didn't act rashly; he stood still, watching the youth, his heart pounding.
He had never seen such an ugly youth before; could such an ugly being really be human?
Noticing Lin Yi, the youth opened his eyes, his lips curling into a cruel smile.
"You've finally come!"
The youth's voice was hoarse, like that of a dying old man, somewhat grating to the ear.
"Did you kill my child?" Lin Yi snorted coldly.
