Shane got tired of waiting for Arthur to come home, so he went outside just to look around the house. Unexpectedly, the house was quite large, and it even felt like his legs were already quite tired. But he had not met the front of the house as long as he traveled from the front of the house to this place. He is currently stopped at the apple orchard he saw through the window where he woke up this morning.
"The apples look fresh," he said as he looked at the fruit.
"Can I pick and eat them right away?" asked Shane, who was still staring at the apple trees.
"You can pick them up and eat them right away," said someone who was suddenly beside Shane.
"Oh my God!" shrieked Shane in surprise until he shifted his seat in the chair he was sitting in.
"Sorry, sir," said the man who looked younger than him. The man felt bad for surprising Shane.
"Ah, it's okay. I'm just a little surprised that you're standing next to me," Shane replied with a smile.
"Please, sir, if you want to pick the apples, or would you like to pick other fruits?" the man asked.
"Ah, are there any other fruits?" asked Shane with a twinkle in his eye.
"Yes, sir, there are grapes, strawberries, melons, watermelons, oranges, and many others," replied the man.
"Wow, are they all fruitful?" asked Shane, whose face was still sparkling with excitement because he was happy to hear that there were many types of fruit here.
"They are all fruitful, sir," replied the man.
"Ah, yes. What's your name?" asked Shane who had stood up from his seat.
"Lucas," replied the man.
"Lucas, can I see the other fruits?" asked Shane.
"Of course, sir," Lucas replied.
Shane smiled happily. He walked hand in hand with Lucas to another orchard. His eyes lit up at the sight of the berry orchard, "can I pick and eat these?" asked Shane.
"Sure," Lucas replied.
Shane immediately picked up the fruit, it tasted so good. The fruit that had just been picked from the tree was delicious. Moving on to other fruits, he even asked for a basket to carry the fruit so he could enjoy it while sitting on the chair he had just sat on.
"Would you like to eat fruit near the river?" asked Lucas.
"River?" asked Shane, raising one eyebrow in confusion.
A house this big had a river in it, or were they going to leave the building and go to the river? "Is the river far?" asked Shane.
"Not far, would you like to?" asked Lucas.
"I would, if it wasn't far," replied Shane.
"Then follow me," said Lucas as he walked first.
Shane followed Lucas to the river. Not far from the watermelon garden, there was a river. The rocks around the river added a strong impression of nature. The water was so clear that it felt like it could be drunk directly.
Shane could see fish swimming in the river. "It looks delicious," Shane said, looking at the fish swimming near the riverbank.
"Would you like to eat some fish?" Lucas asked.
"I just finished breakfast a few minutes ago. Here's some fruit," Shane said, holding up his fruit basket.
"In the afternoon, I'll have Elia cook some fish for you," Lucas said.
"Ah, no need," Shane refused with a smile.
"It's okay, sir, you're a guest of Mr. Arthur. So, just tell us what you need. We will prepare it for you," Lucas said.
"Um, thank you," Shane said with a smile.
"No need to thank you, sir. You are Mr. Arthur's guest, we must serve you well," Lucas said, smiling too.
"By the way, can I ask you a question?" asked Shane as he looked at Lucas who was still standing while he was already sitting on the rocks by the river.
"If I can answer, I will, sir," Lucas said, smiling again.
Lucas had been expressionless from the start, but now he had a slight improvement because he was smiling.
"Are there any wild animals here?" asked Shane, looking seriously at Lucas.
"None at all, sir," Lucas replied.
"But why is this forest off limits? And according to people's stories, if you go into this forest, no one ever comes back," asked Shane, his forehead furrowed.
Suddenly he thought about this problem, indeed, he had encountered a wolf and ended up fainting. However, it is evident that he is currently alive. Or, is he actually dead? And everything that happened was just his dream because he wanted to live comfortably? He shook his head. That was impossible, because this morning he heard about the Techno Enginare company. It was the biggest technology company in the country. So, there was no way he was dreaming. How could his dream create another person he had never met?
"Sir, is anyone sick? If someone is sick, let me take you to your room. I'll call Doctor Matheo to examine you," Lucas said with a worried look on his face.
"Ah, I'm fine. Just thinking about my question earlier," Shane replied with a smile.
"Maybe those people feel comfortable here, sir, so they don't return to the city," Lucas said with a smile.
"Those who don't return live in this house?" asked Shane, a little surprised.
Lucas just smiled in response. He couldn't possibly tell Shane the truth, could he? He could have his head cut off by his master if he talked any further with Shane.
"Oh, yes, sir. I still have things to do. So I took my leave to go back to work. If you need anything else, you can call my name," Lucas said with a smile.
"If you're far away, there's no way you can come right away," Shane said with a smile.
"But, okay. I'll call you if I need help," Shane said with a smile. Lucas smiled at Shane's words.
"Then, if you'll excuse me, sir," Lucas said and left after getting a nod of his head from Shane.
