Rhyolite was founded over 9000 years ago by the strongest spirit at the time, Helyonhir, being named after her deceased daughter Rhyolee. The girl died 12 days after birth, as a side effect of the war of the children of Evil. That event was what caused the spirits to join the war. As a commemoration of this almost to forgotten victory, every year the Floral festival happens in all the country and lasts from Rhyolee birthday to her death day.
Blair loves the festival, all the country turns into beautiful shades of pink, purple, blue, white and green, mainly pink. There is also a ridiculous amount of food on very big fairs. This is Caleb's very first Floral festival, so he has no idea what to do, just that he doesn't like the color scheme.
William putted a light pink dress with several pink flowers on Blair, along with her shoes that also had little daisy drawn on them, her usual sunglasses and a wreath of flowers that were used like a tiara to hide her bug legs, the legs were hidden between the flowers and leafs, looking like they were part of the wreath due their shape and size. Because most of her hair was visible this time, he decided to braid it. Caleb on the other hand wore overalls with a light green shirt, red boots and a cap. William was dressed with a black long sleeved shirt with dark pants, dark shoes and a face mask with a little Narcissus.
They went to the closest fair to play games and eat a lot of food, but in the middle of the way William finds a journal with the picture of a familiar woman as the bride of the prince of Vanleven, so he decides to stop and read the headline. He felt numb, and then guilty for not filling anything for her. They used to get along sometimes, but apparently that wasn't enough for him to care.
Finally at the fair, the children played and ate all day long, even getting some prizes like the laurel wreath Caleb got after almost breaking a power hammer because someone called him a weak kid. Luckily no one was harmed. Close to the sunset, William asks them:
- The queen will make a discourse, do you wanna see it? -
- OF COURSE! I bet it will be something epic like announcing a new hero or… or revealing cool powers or… or… SOMETHING REALLY COOL! YEAH! Something super duper cool! -
Caleb euphorically answers.
- It amaws the same spit. -
Blair said, with a skewer on her mouth.
- It what the same what? -
- It's always the same speech. -
Blair finishes the skewer and said louder.
- Blair, this is Caleb's first Floral festival, why don't we hear her speech? -
William questions.
- Fine! But I want more food! -
William buys Blair a very large popcorn bag and they go hear the queen's speech. During her speech, Blair finishes her popcorn and asks William for more, but he refuses because they can't get more now and tell her they will get more later. Blair gets upset but before anything, a tanned man without a leg and on a wheelchair offers her a skewer, which she almost instantly swallows, but William stops her.
- Blair, you can't steal food from others. -
He whispered.
- It's ok, she can have it. -
The man on the wheelchair replied.
- Sorry sir, but I think it's better to decline. -
William says, take the skewer from Blair's hand and gives back to the man. The man on the wheelchair smiles at him and they continue to watch the queen's speech. After she ended, the people applauded and the Leechs went home. But not before Amaya take a picture of William from afar, posing like she was taking a selfie and sended it to Norman with a message:
Amaya: "Hi sweetie! I'm going to get his address now!"
