William, Caleb and Blair were still in the bedroom, now awake. They are all concerned and afraid, but William is trying to calm them down because if their bad feelings get too intense they would transform and indeed cause a major problem.
- Can you stop talking about math? You… You almost died last night! -
Caleb said, cutting William off.
- So you want to know about history instead? -
William gives Caleb a fake smile.
- Didn't you hear me? I don't want to learn about multipli… Muliti… Aah, two times two! -
- But that's important, you need to know. -
- Dad… -
Blair finally stood up and put her tiny hand on top of William's hand, with a crying expression.
- Are… Are you… L-L-Leaving us? -
She completed, as her bug legs hugged her face and her tail curled around her.
- Of course not! W-Why would I? -
William continues to smile nervously.
- You bleed. A lot. -
Caleb points out. It would already be a very difficult conversation if it wasn't for Otto, with he either having to explain he ate people and it was their blood and that would be a terrible example, or lying and making the kids believe they are going to become orphans soon. But now William doesn't even know what truly happened. It could be both, it could even be neither. He couldn't even avoid the subject by questioning them why they decided to leave the apartment, but Caleb would definitely reply by asking why he left the apartment and even bring out his victims, and that would most likely end in a never ending argument or in Caleb transforming himself again. William decided to follow with the safest but hardest option he had.
- Blair, Caleb… I am… Not a good person. I do bad things all the time with all kinds of people, including you two. I convince myself it is for a good cause, but my intentions will not undo the harm and bad I have done. I get out of control too easily, even if I avoid the most to harm you, I will always end up harming you. I know I am the adult and I am supposed to know the answers for all your questions but… I really don't. I don't know what's happening with me. I just hope it isn't as bad as it looks. I really try my best to take care and raise you two, and I truly love you more than anything. But, I just don't know. -
William finally stops smiling and tells them. Rapidly, Blair hugs him.
- I-I-I love you toooo! -
Blair said with a cracking voice shoving her face on his bare chest. William retributes the hug and offers to hug Caleb too. Caleb is confused and it takes him a while, but he ends up accepting the hug and cries a little.
A tall man with black horns and white hair enters the room and William's first reaction was to try to cover Blair and Caleb with the blanket, but the moment he recognized the man he got confused, nervous and a little mad.
- How are you? And where are we? -
William asked.
- I am Gregory Dhaniyara. You are in one of my mansions for containment. I believe… He… told you why. -
Gregory answered.
- WE'RE IN YOUR HOUSE? -
Caleb pushes William and almost falls on his back on the bed while screaming in shock and anger. Gregory almost tries to correct his way of speaking and lecture both Caleb and William about Caleb's attitude, but he stops himself after remembering what Otto told him about Caleb.
- Yes you are. -
Gregory answers with a straight face. Caleb tries to go after Gregory but is held back by William.
- If you can stand up, the clothes I ordered for you three are coming. -
They look at him weirdly. William slowly covers the kids with the blanket.
- There has not been someone as small as those two in my family in fourteen years. -
William realizes that while Blair was in a onesie and Caleb with a winter pajamas, he was just in his pants. So he starts trying to cover himself too.
- Come on! What did you want me to do? Offer you my clothes? -
Gregory accidentally breaks his serious persona. William realizes he's most likely someone that grew so wealthy that lost touch with reality and doesn't realize how weird some things might sound, if he ever had been in touch with reality. But that doesn't make Gregory less dangerous.
- Lunch is in 2 hours and 31 minutes. If you can stand up until there, we will have a tour. -
Gregory leaves, clearly flustered with the fact that he will be responsible for two kids and their father that thought he was a pervert for an undetermined amount of time. William sets the kids free and tries to get out of the bed. He stands up with some difficulty but makes it and Blair claps.
- It feels like I've been sleeping for days! -
William said. Caleb clearly gets concerned about that.
- What's wrong, Caleb? -
William asks.
- Hmm… Well… Ermm… -
Caleb turns to Blair rapidly.
- Did we store the pans and lock the window? -
Caleb whispers.
- Caleb, it is impossible to lock the window from outside. -
William answers. Which makes Caleb nervous.
- She messed with the pans! Not me. -
Caleb points to Blair with both his hands.
- I lost the towel! -
Blair also gets nervous and puts her hand on her main mouth. Caleb and Blair look at each other in silence for a little bit.
- I could get mad at you, but that's my fault. And I'm sorry. -
William takes a deep breath and says, with his hands at their shoulders.
- I wanna be like you when I grow up! -
Caleb said with his eyes full of admiration. William didn't get why but he replies:
- I'm sure you're gonna be an amazing adult one day. You both will. -
