Chereads / The Wrong Vassal / Chapter 12 - Dustine and Gregory

Chapter 12 - Dustine and Gregory

The Windbreak Fondation is going to host another event, but Dustine can't go because she's working in the restaurant. She meets some people after the event is over in the restaurant and a guy gives her a note telling her to meet him after her shift ends. Because he was cute and her love life is considerably bad, she decided to go.

It's dark and cold, Dustine just locked the restaurant when she meets the man. She didn't recognize him at first, but there was that "I know you" feeling. The man had white hair, golden eyes, black horns and was dressed very formally.

- So… -

Dustine tucks her hair behind her ear while blushing, just to get interrupted by the man, which made her stop blushing.

- You know this man. -

The man puts out the same picture Redrot showed in the meeting months prior.

- Didn't you hear Wilton? He's gone. -

- Gone can mean a lot of things, just because he is gone, does not mean he is dead. -

- I know that! But he is out of the company! -

- I. Do. Not. Care. I want the contact of this man as immediate as possible. -

- What? Are you horny or something? It's that like, a fetish for scars? -

- Listen here you little waiter boy, I have all the power needed to either end or absolutely ruin your life, so you better be doing what I want. -

The man chokes her, but quickly releases before she attacks him and inevitably calls attention.

- First, how can you think that body here is from a boy? -

Dustine makes a gesture emphasizing her hourglass body.

- Second, why the actual fuck you need to talk with him? And third, I am not going to help you with that stupidity. He does not want to be an A rank, so he does not become an A ranker! -

Dustine continues while poking her finger on his chest and staring him in his eyes. The man grabs her hand and hold it so tight it became red. He stares at her dark green eyes, right after he lets her hand free and takes a business card from his inner pocket.

- When you change your mind, just contact me. -

The man leaves. His name was Gregory Dhaniyara, the second born of the Dhaniyara family, a very wealthy and important family in the country. Gregory was one of the top students of one of the many academies the WindBreak Fondation have and that's how he became a hunter, starting already as an A ranked. That still sparks controversy to this day, because the Dhaniyaras are one of the sponsors of the W.B.F. and he very rarely actually comes to fight. Dustine keeps the card on her purse and changes from her uniform to her regular clothes before going home. "Maybe Gregory could be useful someday." she thinks.
