Akainu's actions were witnessed by many, sparking much discontent.
Naruto: "Hey! What's with this guy called Akainu?! How could he even sacrifice his own comrades?!"
Akainu: "Hmph, foolishness. Indecision will never defeat the enemy. Missing the opportunity to kill an enemy because of hostages is the greatest mistake!"
Naruto: "That's nonsense! If a comrade is taken hostage, you should think of a way to save them, not destroy them along with the enemy!"
Akainu: "Such a naive brat. Do you think justice is easy to uphold? If we don't take a tough stance, we only allow evil to flourish. To fight evil, one must be prepared to sacrifice oneself for the greater good!"
Naruto: "What kind of twisted logic is that? Don't comrades' lives matter?"
Akainu: "If sacrificing a few subordinates can save more people, then it's worth it! Thankfully, you're not under my command. Seeing someone as indecisive as you makes me want to kill you!"
Naruto was shaken by Akainu's crazed words; he never expected to meet someone like this.
Sacrificing comrades to combat evil—what kind of justice was that?!
Tsunade: "However, if you were a ninja from Konoha and did something like this, I wouldn't let you off either. Someone who doesn't know how to protect their comrades is just trash."
Dan: "Talking about upholding justice without even thinking and sacrificing others is just a sign of a leader's incompetence!"
Akainu: "Say whatever you want. Looking at your personalities, it's clear why your worlds have problems."
Diana: "You should be glad you're not in front of me, or you'd pay for this!"
Tony Stark: "What a dark version of justice, kind of like our American military, right, Fury?"
Rhodey: "Hey, Stark, don't say things like that."
Nick Fury: "coughs."
Fury didn't want to respond. Honestly, he'd sacrificed subordinates to complete missions before, but only when there was no other choice.
Not as bluntly as Akainu—how foolish. Wouldn't this shatter the morale of his troops?
Orochimaru: "Hehe, maybe so. If that old man hadn't been sentimental and killed me when he had the chance, I wouldn't be alive now."
Orochimaru: "Besides, Tsunade, do you think Konoha's darkness is any less than Akainu's?"
Tsunade: "Stop changing the subject. You better not let me catch you, or I'll kill you for sure!"
Orochimaru: "Hoho, you'd better find me before I make something new. This Super Beast Manufacturing Machine is too interesting—it can combine different C-virus creatures into even stronger monsters. I'd love for you to see it."
Tsunade: "Why are you creating such terrifying monsters?!"
Orochimaru: "Have you forgotten why every ninja village wants the Tailed Beasts?"
Tsunade: "You can't mean..."
Orochimaru: "Hahaha! Just wait. I'll bring a great upheaval to the entire ninja world!"
Jiraiya: "Not as long as I'm here, you won't!"
Naruto: "Hey, Pervy Sage, you haven't spoken in a while. What have you been up to?"
Jiraiya: "I'm dealing with a monster in Sunagakure. I demanded they hand over the C-virus, but one guy lost his mind and injected all the doses into himself, turning into an enormous disgusting monster and spreading the virus everywhere. It's been nothing but trouble!"
At this moment, more than half of Sunagakure had turned into ruins.
The culprit behind all this was a monster lying in the middle of the main road, over twenty meters tall, covered in tentacles, with a twisted form and countless eyes.
It all started just over ten minutes ago. Jiraiya had used his strength to intimidate everyone in Sunagakure, forcing them to hand over the purchased C-virus.
To save their lives, the high-ranking officials had no choice but to agree.
However, one high-ranking official jumped out at that moment, refusing to comply, and injected all the doses of C-virus into himself.
This caused a massive mutation, turning him into a terrifying monster.
The chakra produced by this monstrous form far surpassed that of even elite Jonin.
The deadliest aspect was that the monster continuously released C-virus gas, infecting others and turning them into monsters as well.
This plunged Sunagakure into chaos.
Fortunately, Jiraiya was there, and with his overwhelming power, he instantly killed the over-twenty-meter-tall monster. Afterward, he helped with the rescue, which took considerable effort to deal with the C-virus gas.
"Damn it! This is all your fault! If you hadn't meddled, none of this would have happened!"
One of the ninjas blamed Jiraiya for everything, believing that if Jiraiya hadn't come, things wouldn't have turned out this way.
"This C-virus is really impressive—it actually turned someone into such a terrifying monster."
"Although it's a monster, it's undeniably powerful."
Some of the high-ranking ninjas began entertaining sinister thoughts. Despite the disaster in front of them, the sheer power was evident.
"Are you all idiots?!"
Even if they whispered, Jiraiya could hear them, and it infuriated him.
Why were some people so quick to forget the lessons of the past?!
"Didn't you see the damage that monster caused to your village? What's the point of turning yourself into a mindless beast?!"
Jiraiya grabbed the person who spoke, glaring at him and shouting.
The man wet himself in fear, terrified that Jiraiya might kill him in his rage.
"Tch, that's because he was too greedy. Didn't Orochimaru's subordinates retain their rationality?"
Someone else was still being stubborn. The danger hadn't come to them, so they felt emboldened to speak out.
Besides, according to Orochimaru's explanation, those Javo could be controlled. As long as they didn't inject themselves, wouldn't it be great to raise powerful creatures that obeyed them?
Seeing these stubborn individuals, Jiraiya grew furious. It was because of people like them that the ninja world had experienced so many wars.
Just as Jiraiya was about to say something, the person who had spoken was suddenly killed with a slash to the throat, collapsing in a pool of blood before anyone could react.
The one who did it was none other than Chiyo.
Everyone was stunned by this scene.
"If you truly consider me an advisor, then from this moment, I forbid any contact with the C-virus. I do not want the village destroyed by such monsters!"
Chiyo glared coldly at the ninjas and high-ranking officials of Sunagakure.
Though she was an elderly woman, she exuded an overwhelming aura.
