Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

[New Fanfics For The Week Poll!!] [THE POLL IS UP!! IT'S FREE!]

[I've Already Confronted the Five Kage, and the System Just Arrived!]

[Savior in the DC Universe]

[Marvel: I Started by Containing SCPs]

After the successful containment of the fire entity, numerous comments appeared on the screen.

Luffy: "So cool! You ninjas have such awesome techniques! Summoning such huge animals to help is amazing!"

Nobita: "Yeah, I wish I could be like you guys too!"

In the world of One Piece, Luffy became more excited the more he thought about it. He began to play a summoning game with Chopper.

"Summoning technique! Chopper, come out!"

"Yes!"

Luffy imitated Jiraiya's hand movements, slapping the ground, and Chopper transformed into his human form, lifting Luffy. The two played enthusiastically, much to the amusement of their crewmates, who had grown accustomed to such antics.

Sengoku: "Even our universe's Haki can be a reward? This screen is unbelievable!"

Ancient One: "Heh, the power behind this screen is beyond our comprehension. Our prized abilities are probably insignificant to the entity behind this screen."

Goku: "That strong? Haha, I'd love to fight one of these SCPs. I wonder if there are any really powerful ones."

Piccolo: "Goku, we're already struggling with the Saiyans. We don't have time for this!"

Vegeta: "Hmph, these SCPs are just weaklings trying to scare Earthlings."

Thor: "Though I don't like you invaders, I agree these SCPs aren't impressive. One strike from my hammer would take care of them."

In the world of Ultraman Leo.

Gen, after reading the comments, looked at Tsunade and Jiraiya on the screen. Although they were human, their abilities impressed him and even posed a threat.

Tsunade's large-scale healing and protection would be incredibly useful in his world. Many lives are lost daily to monsters and aliens. With Tsunade's abilities, many could be saved.

Then there's Jiraiya. His combined ninjutsu's power made Leo feel threatened. If hit by such a powerful water cannon, he would likely be injured.

"Humans from other universes are so strong. I must become stronger too!"

Gen was once again filled with determination, eager to grow more powerful.

Meanwhile, Ryner had received his new reward after the successful containment of the fire entity.

"Fire Demon contained successfully. The host gains the ability to start fires and devour flames."

Upon hearing the system's voice, Ryner a scorching sensation throughout his body. When he opened his mouth, he spat out flames.

Before he could react, the flames fell on the sofa, scaring him into trying to extinguish them. But with a mere thought, the flames flew back into his mouth and were absorbed.

The process was so quick that Ryner barely had time to comprehend it.

At that moment, the screen's image switched.

"Now predicting the next SCP, the Mimic."

The screen displayed an image of a bright red creature. This creature had a large mouth filled with sharp teeth but no other facial features. Its head was large, with feather-like protrusions on the back. It had a human-like but more muscular and larger body, with long limbs ending in sharp claws. It looked utterly repulsive.

As the new SCP appeared, everyone focused on the screen to see what this creature was.

"The Mimic can imitate any human voice and enjoys hunting humans. They move in the darkness, luring targets by mimicking voices, sometimes driving them to madness."

After the explanation, the screen showed a scene in an unknown country where a woman was looking for her child.

"Son, where are you? Where did you run off to?"

It seemed like a typical scenario where a child had wandered off while playing, leaving the mother searching frantically. But those familiar with SCPs knew it wouldn't be that simple.

"Mom, I'm here."

A child's voice came from around a corner.

"Oh, there you are."

Relieved, the mother hurried toward the voice.

"Son, you mustn't do this again."

As she turned the corner to scold her child, her expression changed as if she saw something horrifying.

In front of her wasn't her child but the creature shown on the screen. The creature was chewing on something, blood dripping from its teeth. Looking down, the mother saw her child's head.

Her son had already been devoured by this creature.

"Ahhhh!!"

Seeing her son's head and the creature, the mother screamed in horror. The Mimic immediately lunged at her, biting her neck.

"Crack."

The sound of her neck breaking was audible as the Mimic tore her head off and began feasting on it.

"Help!"

At that moment, a man ran out from a nearby alley.

"Little brother, don't run. Don't you want to play?"

A sweet voice called out from behind, but it wasn't a cute girl. It was another terrifying Mimic.

The sweet voice came from the mouth of this monstrous creature, making it even more eerie. The Mimic caught up to the man, its sharp claws piercing his chest, killing him instantly.

The creature then began devouring the man. The screen zoomed out, revealing similar scenes on nearby streets.

In different corners, people were being lured by the Mimic's voices, only to become their prey. Once the humans were all eaten, the Mimic Beasts quietly left, either waiting for new prey or moving to another location.

"Although the Mimic is formidable, human weapons can still deal with it. The issue is that they are not solitary; they are a species spread across the world. The Foundation has spent considerable effort trying to contain and eliminate them but has yet to succeed. Nonetheless, we will not give up."

After this message, the screen went dark.

The viewers were left in shock. The ability to mimic voices to lure prey into a deadly trap was, in some ways, more terrifying than the visible threats of fire demons and carnivorous vines.
