Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

DC Universe, Batman's Base

"What! In Gotham City!"

Bruce Wayne stood up in disbelief, eyes wide open.

He never expected that two SCPs would appear in Gotham City simultaneously.

Either one of these would cause massive chaos.

Already chaotic Gotham City couldn't afford to get worse with these two!

Bruce Wayne took a deep breath and immediately left the base.

Meanwhile, the screen was filled with a flurry of comments.

Diana: "In Gotham City? That's terrible."

Nobita: "Why?"

Diana: "Gotham City is infamous for its crime. It's filled with criminals, with incidents happening from morning till night, including crimes committed by super-powered individuals. It's arguably the most chaotic city in the world."

Nick Fury: "What! Such a city exists? What is the government doing?"

Diana: "They've been bought off. As long as they're paid, they don't care."

Tony Stark: "It seems corruption exists in every universe."

Sengoku: "That's ridiculous! What about the people living there?"

Diana: "Bruce Wayne, I remember he's from Gotham and one of the world's wealthiest. Are you going to confront these two SCPs?"

Barton: "What? This Bruce Wayne is a billionaire and from Gotham City? Is he also a criminal?"

Nick Fury: "Even if he's not, he could be a protector of criminals."

Bruce Wayne: "I'm neither a criminal nor a protector of criminals, and I don't have time to explain."

Natasha: "Are you really going to face those two SCPs?"

Barton: "Wealthy people usually hire others to handle such things, never getting their hands dirty."

Tony Stark: "Hey! I'm a wealthy person who gets my hands dirty!"

At that moment, Bruce Wayne was suiting up as Batman.

"How do I take down that kitchen knife?"

Bruce Wayne pondered over the kitchen knife. Compared to the Mimic Beast, the Unstoppable Kitchen Knife was harder to deal with.

"Any attempt to stop the knife-wielder will fail. Damn it."

Sitting in the Batmobile, Bruce Wayne still couldn't think of a good solution. He couldn't just sit back and watch some criminal run wild with that knife.

He could only hope no one had picked it up yet.

"Wait a minute! Any attempt to stop the killing will fail. Does that mean…"

Bruce Wayne seemed to realize something, showing an incredulous expression.

Could that terrifying kitchen knife have such a loophole? Although it seemed unreliable, it was the only way.

Batman, driving the Batmobile, left the Batcave, looking at the screen showing the location.

The screen displayed a street.

On that street, a man was waving a kitchen knife, killing one passerby after another.

"Die! Die!"

The man looked crazed, seemingly enjoying the slaughter.

He was a common sight in Gotham, a mentally unstable criminal.

He had planned a robbery and stumbled upon the kitchen knife, leading to an uncontrollable situation.

He initially wanted to kill those who wouldn't give him money, then those trying to stop him, and later, to rob more money.

The more he killed, the more money he got.

"Shoot him! Kill him!"

Gordon, seeing the severity of the situation, immediately gave the order.

"Chief, the guns aren't working! And they're misfiring!"

Other officers tried to shoot but found their guns jammed or misfired.

"Damn it! What's going on with the supply department!"

Gordon, unaware of the SCP's influence, thought it was poor maintenance.

He took out his gun and fired at the criminal.

He managed to fire, but the bullet lost momentum and fell before reaching the man.

Gordon was stunned, then kept firing.

The result was the same; the bullets couldn't touch the man.

Eventually, Gordon's gun misfired, injuring his hand badly.

"Damn it! Is this some superpower?"

Gordon, clutching his hand in pain, threw a grenade at the criminal.

The grenade rolled to the criminal's feet but didn't explode.

Gordon's face darkened, not understanding what was happening.

"Sniper, in position."

A sniper had positioned himself in a nearby building, aiming at the criminal.

"Fire!"

Gordon ordered, refusing to believe a sniper rifle wouldn't work.

The sniper fired, but the bullet veered off course and fell to the ground.

The sniper tried again, but the rifle misfired, injuring his face.

"Gordon! Can you hear me!"

Batman's voice came through Gordon's radio.

"Batman? You can't just hack into the police communication system!"

Gordon replied, exasperated.

"Now's not the time for that. Evacuate everyone. That man has a strange power; any attempt to stop him will fail!"

Batman explained the situation.

"What kind of bizarre superpower is this?"

Even Gordon, who had dealt with superpowered criminals, was puzzled. He had seen strength enhancements and fire-breathing, but nothing this extreme.

"Trust me, I have a solution!"

Gordon had no choice but to trust Batman, ordering an evacuation to keep people as far from the criminal as possible.

The next moment, the Batmobile's roar was heard.

The Batmobile, shooting flames from its rear, jumped over the crowd and landed next to the criminal.

"Batman! What are you going to do?"

Gordon shouted in concern.

"Repair the road."

"Huh?"

Gordon was puzzled by Batman's cryptic words.

"Batman? Haha! You can't stop me. Once I kill you, I'll be legendary!"

The deranged criminal, seeing Batman, wasn't afraid but excited, thinking even Batman was no match for him now!

"I won't stop you. I just happen to think this road needs fixing."

Batman said something seemingly nonsensical, then adjusted the weapon system, deploying a cannon aimed at the ground beside the criminal.

"Boom!"

The cannon fired, hitting the ground.

"Boom!"

The explosion blew the criminal away, causing him to fall hard, dropping the knife.

Batman quickly drove over, got out, picked up the knife, and sealed it in a prepared metal box.

The Unstoppable Kitchen Knife was successfully contained!

(End of Chapter)

(Well... that was easy... that's Batman's power I guess)
