Jin shifted his gaze away from the scroll and lifted his head, rubbing his neck, which felt stiff. The thought of advancing the basic inner techniques made his head throb.

At its core, the basic inner technique was designed to serve chakra, with a relatively low entry barrier. However, upgrading it significantly raised that barrier to an almost unattainable level.

The difficulty of the seals didn't change much, but the requirements for a ninja's innate talent increased drastically. Two main conditions were needed: chakra nature transformation and chakra nature alteration.

Nature transformation wasn't too difficult; most ninjutsu involved transforming chakra's nature. However, nature alteration was a rare talent that only a few ninjas possessed.

Jin was fortunate to have this talent. Without fully understanding why, he could only attribute it to innate talent.

Breathing techniques and techniques like Zan'ei Ken were created by Jin and involved chakra nature alteration. On the other hand, techniques like the spirit bullet focused solely on nature transformation, while the Six Paths of Pain delved into chakra research.

Returning to the development of inner techniques, the key to advancing the basic technique was forming a semi-attribute, semi-chakra method within the body.

If chakra were simply transformed entirely into an element, it could harm the ninja. Only by incorporating a half-chakra method could it be safely stored within the seal.

To proceed, Jin needed to determine the chakra nature to be transformed. This was the reason he had hesitated to develop the technique further.

Once the chakra nature was set, it would strengthen the technique, but it would also limit the ninja's ability, reducing the power of other elemental ninjutsu proportionally.

This could lead to a one-dimensional fighting style, limiting the versatility of the ninja's techniques.

Jin's innate talent allowed him to wield multiple chakra natures, so it would be a shame to waste such a gift. Developing a multi-attribute technique was theoretically possible, but it required further research.

Currently, no one studying Jin's technique, except for Tsunade, had made significant strides in the development of it. Tsunade had made the most progress, even making some improvements to the technique, although it hadn't reached a breakthrough.

As for Orochimaru, he was more interested in waiting for ready-made results. He had so many research projects of his own that he had no time to thoroughly study the technique's development, which was quite frustrating.

Jin had hoped that Orochimaru would contribute more theoretical knowledge to the foundational technique, but that hope had been in vain.

Consequently, the development of the technique had to proceed slowly, step by step. He couldn't rush it.

This meant that without fully developing a multi-attribute technique, he could only start with one attribute, leading to a dilemma.

However, after seeing the techniques in the scroll and understanding Tobirama's approach to developing techniques, Jin gained some new ideas.

Most of the techniques in the scroll didn't involve the five basic elements—Wind, Fire, Lightning, Earth, and Water. Instead, there was a heavy emphasis on Yin and Yang elements.

The Yin element represented mental energy, which could be combined with chakra to achieve effects similar to materialization. The Yang element represented physical energy, enhancing bodily functions and even giving life to inanimate objects.

If Jin were to focus on taijutsu, the Yang element would naturally be his first choice. However, to maximize his innate talent, the Yin element seemed more fitting.

The materialization capability of the Yin element could, in theory, lead to the transformation of other elements later on. Initially, Jin had considered the Yin element, but the Yin-element techniques he knew were mostly secret techniques from various clans, requiring specific body types, which had deterred him from exploring further.

The scroll's techniques, however, didn't require specific bloodlines or body types; they depended purely on a ninja's talent and understanding. This brought Jin back to considering the Yin element.

"Even with the Yin element, it will still affect my combat power," Jin mused.

Fixing the chakra nature would lead to a temporary drop in power.

"But the Sharingan is an advanced form of Yin element, right?" Jin thought.

The Sharingan should be an extreme form of the Yin element, a Kekkei Genkai. The so-called Sharingan eye power could be a manifestation of highly concentrated Yin chakra.

If his hypothesis was correct, while some of his ninjutsu would weaken, his Sharingan abilities would strengthen.

With a rise in one area and a drop in another, his overall power could remain balanced. However, in the current world of shinobi, this balance wouldn't allow him to make significant waves.

"I can start with the Yin element transformation and develop further later on, using the Sharingan to maintain combat power," Jin concluded.

Having made up his mind, Jin began working.

"Let's simulate a Yin-element chakra inner technique, designed to enhance the Sharingan's potential and increase the possibility of incorporating multiple attributes later."

As he processed the necessary data through his mental interface, lines of text and theories began to appear rapidly.

Numerous techniques, theories, and developments filled his mind, eventually converging into an extremely complex sealing technique.

The good news was that it could directly be converted from the basic inner technique. The bad news was that the difficulty was so high that even with his abilities, it wasn't easy to grasp fully.

"There are quite a few techniques involved here," Jin noted.

He rubbed his forehead as the text continued to stream by. Despite the rapid flow, he managed to catch a glimpse of several unique techniques.

For instance, Izanagi, Izanami, Susanoo and Chibaku Tensei

Could it be that Madara had broken into the village archives?

However, Madara breaking in wasn't the main issue. He was still in hiding, and the Third Shinobi War was when he would re-emerge to cause trouble. Recovering his youth would be his time to step into the limelight.

The basic technique certainly didn't include the ability to reverse aging.

The real problem was this: Dust Release! Lightning Release Chakra Mode! What were these techniques doing here?

These techniques weren't supposed to be in the village's records!

If these techniques existed, it meant that some enemy forces had obtained the village's techniques.

The reason Konoha could dominate three other villages with minimal losses was due to the basic inner technique. But if other villages also gained access to this technique, it would elevate the entire shinobi world's power level.

This would make things difficult for Konoha.

As the inventor, Jin wouldn't necessarily be implicated, given how many had learned the basic technique. But if the inventor's name carried the Uchiha tag, Sarutobi would definitely seize the chance to make a point.

Jin now felt a large "danger" sign looming over his head.

This wasn't an easy burden to escape from.

But no need to worry just yet.

He was confident enough in his abilities to leave Konoha if it came to that.

What really troubled him now was how difficult it was to develop a single-element Yin chakra inner technique, even with the combined knowledge of the entire shinobi world.

How would he handle future developments?

"Unless I can get the entire shinobi world to help me research chakra inner techniques."

With the entire shinobi world experimenting and learning, Jin could use the knowledge generated in their minds to accelerate the refinement of his chakra inner technique.
