This grudge is noted for later.
Jin held one side of the scroll while gripping the center with his other hand. His eyes turned crimson, with three black tomoe spinning rapidly as he started reading the contents.
He paid no mind to the dark expression on the face of the elder, who hadn't expected Jin to have such an ability.
Jin's eyes swiftly scanned the contents of the forbidden scroll, absorbing every word and every hand sign. He didn't bother to memorize everything but instead continued to read further.
The elder, though initially tense, began to relax. He doubted that Jin could remember everything just by quickly skimming through the scroll. After all, in the world of ninja, there wasn't such a thing as perfect memory.
Moreover, the contents of the scroll were vast and complex, not something that could be fully retained by mere memory.
Typically, those allowed to view the scroll were trusted members of the village, so there wasn't much need for precaution.
Unfortunately, Jin was an exception to the rule.
Jin didn't lift his head, continuing to read at a rapid pace.
Techniques such as Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, Spiritualization Jutsu, Four Symbols Seal, and Reanimation Jutsu appeared before his eyes—techniques he had heard of and some that were completely new.
These techniques were powerful, but they also came with significant risks and high levels of difficulty. The minimum rank for the techniques recorded here was A-rank, meaning they required great power and expertise to perform.
However, Jin didn't find the Eight Gates Technique in the scroll—it hadn't been included yet. The techniques created by Tobirama made up only about half of the scroll, with the rest being unfamiliar to Jin.
Soon, Jin had finished reading one of the scrolls. At that moment, the elder swiftly snatched the scroll back.
"Time's up," the elder said, not wanting to give Jin even a second more.
Jin grinned at him. He had already memorized everything he needed.
Using his fingers, he could summon the contents of the scroll anytime he wanted.
"You need to leave with me immediately," the elder warned.
The area held more than just the contents of the forbidden scroll—there were other powerful techniques as well. The forbidden scroll only recorded techniques with significant risks and high difficulty.
Jin shrugged, following the elder out.
As they exited the building, Jin glanced up at the clear sky.
"I need to return and report back. You're not required to go unless summoned," the elder said to Jin.
From the moment Jin had forced the Hokage to allow him access to the scroll, he was no longer seen as one of their own.
Jin didn't care what the Hokage thought. He turned and walked away without saying a word.
"These Uchiha, none of them are any good," the elder muttered discontentedly as he watched Jin leave.
Upon returning home, Jin hurried to retrieve a blank scroll from his storage. He spread it out, pressing both hands onto the surface.
"Ninjutsu! Camera Technique!"
With this technique, chakra began to flow from his hands, transforming into colorful streams that quickly spread across the scroll like liquid, capturing every detail.
Originally, he had devised this technique to catch White Fang in the act. He hadn't expected to use it here.
This technique allowed him to write down a specific memory.
"I need to find an opportunity to get some dirt on Sakumo," Jin muttered to himself.
He had no intention of letting Sakumo off the hook. Gratitude and grudges both needed to be settled!
Soon, the entire content of the forbidden scroll appeared on the new scroll.
"Heh, trying to fight me?" Jin sneered. "Those old fools really think they're something special."
He didn't care what they thought and began to study the content of the forbidden scroll in detail.
He focused especially on the sealing techniques. Jin planned to upgrade his foundational techniques while staying in the village.
That night, Danzo kicked open the door to the Hokage's office.
"You let Jin look at the forbidden scroll?!" Danzo shouted.
The office was brightly lit, with the two elder advisors and the Hokage sitting in tense silence.
"Danzo, this wasn't the Hokage's fault. They pressured him into it," one of the elders said in defense of the Hokage.
"The brat just skimmed through the scroll. He didn't have time to memorize anything," the other elder added.
"You fools!" Danzo snapped, pointing an accusatory finger at the two of them. "Don't you realize that kid is a genius when it comes to developing jutsu?"
"He doesn't need to memorize it all! He just needs to reference it and create something new!"
Danzo was furious. The true danger of Jin wasn't just his personal strength—it was his ability to develop new techniques.
The moment Danzo heard that Jin wanted to view the forbidden scroll, he knew Jin was looking for inspiration to create his own jutsu.
"That's impossible," one of the elders muttered, unable to believe it. "There's no way he could manage that with such high-level jutsu."
"Don't you understand what our teacher was capable of?" Danzo said with a bitter smile, referring to the Second Hokage.
Tobirama had developed numerous powerful techniques without the help of a scroll. If he had the scroll for reference, he would have been even more formidable.
The Hokage had tried to suppress the situation, not realizing the potential consequences.
"How could Jin possibly..." the other elder began, only to be cut off by Danzo.
"You think that foundational technique doesn't exist?" Danzo snarled, frustrated with their ignorance.
He was well aware of the value of the technique Jin had developed. Someone capable of creating such a technique wasn't far off from Tobirama himself.
The elders were at a loss for words, realizing they had underestimated Jin's capabilities.
"We need to act now, Hiruzen. Kill him before Jin becomes a bigger threat!" Danzo urged, fearing Jin's lack of loyalty to the village.
"Danzo, you're too extreme," the Hokage said, shaking his head.
"Jin is a member of this village, and his developments have indeed strengthened it. We'll begin monitoring him closely, but I won't allow the killing of a fellow villager," the Hokage said firmly.
Although he had his own agenda and had inherited Tobirama's wariness of the Uchiha, he wouldn't resort to such measures.
"You're going to regret this, Hiruzen," Danzo warned darkly. "Letting Jin grow unchecked will only lead to disaster."
"I'm the Hokage, Danzo," the Hokage replied coldly, meeting Danzo's glare.
Danzo took a deep breath, then turned and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
