As Team CFVY made their way back from their successful mission in Forever Fall, the mood was light and filled with a sense of accomplishment. They decided to pass the time by talking about their hobbies and what they enjoyed doing outside of training and missions.
Coco started the conversation, her usual confidence shining through. "Alright, team, let's share a bit about ourselves. What do you guys like to do when we're not out saving the world?"
Velvet perked up, a shy smile on her face. "Well, I love photography. Capturing moments and scenery is really relaxing for me. Plus, it's nice to have memories to look back on."
Yatsuhashi nodded thoughtfully. "I enjoy gardening. It's peaceful, and taking care of plants is a good way to relax and reflect."
Fox, who had been listening intently, added, "I like listening to music and playing the guitar. Music helps me unwind and express myself."
Coco grinned, looking at her teammates. "Those are all great hobbies. For me, it's all about fashion. Designing and putting together outfits is my way of being creative. Plus, looking good on the battlefield never hurts."
Gwendolyn smiled, feeling more comfortable sharing now that the others had opened up. "I enjoy drawing and singing. Drawing helps me capture the things I see and feel, and singing... well, it's a way for me to express myself and connect with others."
Velvet's eyes lit up. "That's amazing, Gwen! I'd love to see some of your drawings sometime."
Yatsuhashi nodded in agreement. "And hear you sing. It sounds like you have a lot of talent."
Fox leaned in, curiosity evident in his expression. "What kind of things do you like to draw, Gwen?"
Gwendolyn thought for a moment. "Mostly scenes from my travels and people I've met. Sometimes I draw the landscapes of different worlds I've been to, or moments that have meant a lot to me."
Coco looked at her with admiration. "You've got a lot of stories to tell through your art and your voice. We definitely need to have a team talent night sometime."
The idea of a talent night seemed to excite everyone. They continued to share more about their hobbies and interests as they walked, the conversation flowing easily.
As they approached Beacon Academy, the camaraderie between them felt even stronger. They had not only faced challenges together but also learned more about each other, deepening their bond as a team.
Back at the academy, they parted ways to freshen up and rest, but the conversation from their journey lingered in Gwendolyn's mind. She felt a renewed sense of connection with her teammates, knowing that they each had their own passions and talents that made them unique.
Later that evening, as they gathered in their common room, the idea of a talent night was brought up again. With everyone excitedly agreeing to share their talents, the team began planning the event, looking forward to seeing another side of each other.
Gwendolyn felt a warm sense of belonging. She was grateful for her new family at Beacon, and with each passing day, she felt more at home.

The next day, Team CFVY had planned to take a well-deserved day off to relax and enjoy themselves. However, their plans were abruptly interrupted when alarms sounded throughout the city. Grimm were attacking, and Beacon Academy quickly mobilized its students to defend the city.
Gwendolyn and her team immediately sprang into action. They joined forces with several other teams to fend off the invading Grimm. The battle was intense, with Beowolves, Ursa, and even a few Nevermores wreaking havoc in the streets.
Gwendolyn fought with a mix of her magic and physical prowess, her movements fluid and precise. Coco provided covering fire with her Gatling gun, while Velvet and Yatsuhashi coordinated their attacks to take down the larger Grimm. Fox used his agility and strength to outmaneuver and dispatch the Grimm with swift, powerful strikes.
As the battle raged on, Gwendolyn spotted a familiar flash of red and black. She turned to see Team RWBY fighting nearby. Ruby's scythe cut through the Grimm with deadly efficiency, Weiss's glyphs provided strategic advantages, Blake's agility and skill kept her foes at bay, and Yang's powerful punches sent Grimm flying.
After what felt like hours, the last of the Grimm were defeated, and the teams began regrouping. Gwendolyn wiped the sweat from her brow and made her way over to Team RWBY, her heart lifting at the sight of her old friends.
"Ruby! Yang!" Gwendolyn called out, waving as she approached.
Ruby turned, her face lighting up with a wide smile. "Gwen! It's so good to see you!"
Yang's expression mirrored Ruby's as she walked over, giving Gwendolyn a big hug. "Gwen! What are you doing here?"
Gwendolyn returned the hug, grinning. "I'm a student at Beacon now. This is my team, CFVY. Coco, Velvet, Fox, and Yatsuhashi."
Team CFVY joined Gwendolyn, exchanging greetings with Team RWBY. Ruby introduced her teammates, and they all exchanged friendly nods and smiles.
"We've heard a lot about you," Blake said, her tone friendly. "Gwen's mentioned you before."
Gwendolyn nodded, excitement bubbling up inside her. "Yeah, I've told them about you guys. But there's something else I need to tell you."
She took a deep breath, glancing at Coco, who smiled encouragingly. Turning back to Ruby and Yang, she continued, "Coco is also my girlfriend."
Ruby's eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly looked at Coco, then back at Gwendolyn. "Wow, Gwen! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you!"
Yang's reaction was more animated. She let out a playful whistle and grinned. "Well, well! I didn't see that coming. Congrats, you two!"
Coco wrapped an arm around Gwendolyn's waist, her smile confident and affectionate. "Thanks, Ruby, Yang. Gwen's been incredible, both as a teammate and more."
Velvet, Fox, and Yatsuhashi exchanged knowing looks, pleased to see their teammate so happy.
Ruby clapped her hands together, her eyes sparkling. "We should all hang out sometime! Get to know each other better."
Yang nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! This calls for a celebration. How about tonight?"
Gwendolyn beamed, feeling a deep sense of joy and belonging. "That sounds perfect. Let's meet up later and catch up properly."
With the battle behind them and new bonds forming, the teams parted ways for the time being, each heading back to their dorms to clean up and rest. Gwendolyn felt a surge of gratitude for the friendships she had made and the love she had found. The future was uncertain, but with her friends and team by her side, she knew she could face anything.
That evening, as Team CFVY and Team RWBY gathered for a celebration, Gwendolyn felt more at home than ever. Surrounded by friends old and new, she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would never face them alone.
The next morning, Gwendolyn was up at her usual early hour, the events of the previous day still fresh in her mind. She did her stretches and felt the morning sun filtering through the windows, filling her with a sense of peace and determination. After completing her routine, she made her way towards CFVY's room, where Velvet was already waiting at the door, a knowing smile on her face.
"Morning, Gwen," Velvet greeted. "Ready for today?"
Gwendolyn smiled back. "Morning, Velvet. Yeah, I'm ready. Are the others up?"
Velvet nodded. "They're just finishing up. I can't wait to see what everyone has to share."
As they entered the room, Coco, Fox, and Yatsuhashi were already gathered, chatting and laughing. Coco's eyes lit up when she saw Gwendolyn, and she walked over to give her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Morning, beautiful," Coco said with a grin. "Ready to share your talent?"
Gwendolyn blushed slightly but nodded. "Yeah, I am. I wrote a song last night. It's about us—our team and... well, you."
The team gathered around, eager to hear Gwendolyn's song. She took a deep breath, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Taking out a small, portable keyboard she'd borrowed from the music room, she began to play a gentle melody, her voice soft and clear.
In a world so vast and wide,
I've traveled far, I've tried to hide,
But here I found my place to be,
With a team that's like a family.
Oh, Velvet with her gentle ways,
Fox who listens, night and day,
Yatsuhashi, strong and true,
And Coco, my love, I found in you.
Through battles fought and dangers faced,
We stand as one, our bond embraced,
In every challenge, side by side,
With you, I know I can confide.
Oh, Velvet with her gentle ways,
Fox who listens, night and day,
Yatsuhashi, strong and true,
And Coco, my love, I found in you.
Together we can face the night,
With your love, my guiding light,
In your arms, I find my strength,
With you, I'd go to any length.
Oh, Velvet with her gentle ways,
Fox who listens, night and day,
Yatsuhashi, strong and true,
And Coco, my love, I found in you.
So here's to us, a team so dear,
With you all, I have no fear,
Together we'll make our dreams come true,
And Coco, my heart belongs to you.
As Gwendolyn finished the song, her fingers lingering on the final notes, she looked up to see her teammates' reactions. Velvet had tears in her eyes, clearly moved by the heartfelt lyrics. Fox was smiling warmly, and Yatsuhashi gave a nod of approval.
Coco stepped forward, her eyes shining with emotion. "Gwen, that was beautiful. Thank you."
Gwendolyn smiled, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders. "Thank you, Coco. And thank all of you. You're my family, and I'm so grateful to have found you."
Velvet wiped her eyes, laughing softly. "That was amazing, Gwen. You have such a talent."
Fox clapped his hands, the sound echoing in the room. "Incredible. You captured us perfectly."
Yatsuhashi added, "Your song reflects the strength and unity of our team. Well done, Gwen."
The room was filled with a sense of warmth and camaraderie as the team shared a group hug. The bond between them had grown even stronger, and Gwendolyn felt more connected to her friends and teammates than ever before.
The day continued with each member sharing their own hobbies and talents, but Gwendolyn's song remained the highlight. It was a testament to the love and friendship that bound them together, and a promise of the adventures yet to come.
As the sun set and the day drew to a close, Gwendolyn knew that with Team CFVY by her side, she could face any challenge.
