Kalix Noah's POV
I look at Kassandra and watch how she reacts. Her eyes were glowing, and the stars reflected in her beautiful eyes.
Her lips even opened out of surprise. "It's so beautiful…"
My free hand turns into a fist. I looked down and tried to control these feelings, but I couldn't.
It's like water who found her new way. I make sure she can see the beauty of the meteor shower on this upper side of the road.
"Are you happy that I let you watch the beauty of the sky?" I ask.
I raise my hand and face her. My wife looks at me and gives me a peace sign using her two fingers.
"Super! I'm super happy that I can't express it properly, your majesty! Thank you so much!"
I held her neck and pulled her closer. My lips brush her warm lips. I feel tingly inside but thrilled at the same time.
My stomach was filled with butterflies that tickled me inside. "Your majesty—uhmp!" I sealed her mouth completely.
I claimed every corner of her lips and continued kissing her, even if I saw how confused and shocked she was.
Kassandra's expression makes me feel a bit guilty, too.
'Something is wrong with me, Kassandra… Why? Why does your kiss give me so many emotions, but later on… it gives me nothing but warmth and calmness like water?'
I let go after that long kiss. I let go of her right away when I remembered that she'd be jinxed.
I looked around and embraced her tightly, covering her head with my body and arms.
"Wait! I can't b-breathe!" she screams and pushed me.
"You'll be jinxed!" I roared. She is blushing barely.
Her finger touches her lips. "I already am…" she whispers.
I realize what she means. I turn around and cover my lips. What am I thinking?!
This is—my gosh! "Ahem! I think the drizzle was the real reason, duke and duchess. We better go before the drizzle becomes a downpour," Enrique says.
We get inside the carriage, and our party continues our journey back to my palace. I was stunned when my wife was now sitting next to me.
She held my arms and leaned her head on my shoulder. "Good night," she says.
She closed her eyes and took a nap. I raised my hand and caressed her cheeks.
"How can you let your guard down, hmm?" I whispered. She didn't say a word.
How can she easily fall asleep at times like this? As we go further, the rain stops.
I guess Westeria will have a soft drizzle from the sky. We arrived at my palace. She's still sleeping.
Enrique opened the door and saw my wife sleeping next to me.
"Should I call someone to carry her, your majesty?"
I shake my head. "I can carry her myself. She's as light as a feather," I remarked.
I held her shoulder and carried her in my arms. I get off the carriage, and the servants are surprised that I am carrying the lady of this house.
I got inside and went straight into my room. I want to see her reaction when she wakes up in my room.
It will be a joy for me. I opened the door and kicked it closed.
"Good night, silly," I whispered.
I pulled the comforter and looked at Kassandra's face. I can't wait for tomorrow.
The next morning, I woke up first.
She's still in my bed. I guess I woke up too early. I grabbed my things and decided to take a bath.
I didn't get the chance because I fell asleep as soon as we got home.
As soon as I finished, I went out to dry my hair with a towel while wearing my bathrobe. "What the hell… aahh!" Kassandra screams.
She fell down on the bed. I ran over to check if she's okay. "Are you okay?"
She turns around, and her eyes dilate in surprise. She covered her eyes with her palm and curled herself in a corner.
"Is this your room, your majesty?" she asks.
I nod. I sighed. How can she see it when she's covering her eyes?
"Yes. I am already tired, and your room is locked. I decided to let you sleep in my bed," I answered.
She moves her finger, and when I'm still in front of her, she closes her eyes.
"Can you move over? I need my way through. I'm sorry for the inconvenience anyway," she apologizes.
"Okay," I said.
I made a sound and acted like I moved on the other side. She crawls forward and bumps my body.
Her body moves right away and bumps her back on the bedside cabinet.
I pin my hands in front of her and catch the book that will hit her head. I was stunned when I saw Kassandra's reaction.
Her cheeks and ears were glowing red. My eyes move down to her pinkish lips. I remember the kisses that we shared.
I move my face closer and trace her lips using the tip of my tongue. She makes a weird sound.
"I apologize, your majesty," she whispered.
I threw the towel and book behind me. My free hand grabbed the back of her head and claimed her lips completely.
'This is dangerous. I'm being seduced by this woman…'
She covered her lips and looked at me with such a defeated and vulnerable face. She's too cute to be in a red frenzy.
I held her wrist and crawled my fingers into her palm, then intertwined our fingers as I pinned her hand above her.
"Are you not going to ask if we really just slept last night, hmm?"
Her expression became priceless. I chuckled. "Relax. I have no plans to have my wedding night half baked," I whispered softly.
I stood and pulled her up. I let go of her, and at that very moment, she dashed with great speed. I faced the door and laughed after.
I place my finger on my lips and smirk. "That was too sweet," I mumbled, caressing my lower lip.
I change my clothes and go downstairs. I ask the head butler to bring my breakfast to my office.
I have to make some reports about the things we did in Easton.
I need to ask for funds for that village until they're stable and can take care of their economy again.
I will send that report to the palace. The door opened, and it was Enrique who was holding the tray of my food.
"Good morning, your majesty," he says. He placed the food on the table.
I decided to eat my breakfast first before I continued writing my reports.
Time passes; Enrique and I just work with the papers and don't have as much conversation as always.
Around five in the afternoon, he suddenly asked something.
"Your Majesty, have you explained your situation to Lady Kassandra? I mean the unluckiness brought by your kiss."
