Upon hearing the purpose of Lu Yin's talent, Mira's eyes flickered, and then she smiled, "Very ordinary. Do you need me to recommend you to join the Youth Council of the Great Yu Empire? Or, agree to my condition, and once completed, I'll directly recommend you to join the Outer Universe Youth Council."
"If I agree to your condition, will you be my recommender?" Lu Yin asked.
Mira lazily replied, "Yes, I will be your recommender, provided you can accomplish it. Not just joining the Tenth Academy of the Astral Combat Academy, but also achieving something that makes me proud. Something that makes me, the Red Lotus Demon Bow, proud." With that, Mira smiled at Lu Yin again, gave him a string of numbers, and turned to leave.
Lu Yin narrowed his eyes, Red Lotus Demon Bow?
"By the way, protecting that native planet was the right move. It might produce talents like Zhang Dingtian and Liu Shaoge in the future. Cherish it," Mira said as she left.
Lu Yin was startled. He understood Zhang Dingtian, but why mention Liu Shaoge specifically?
Regarding Liu Shaoge, Lu Yin only regretted not being able to kill him. Could it be that Mira discovered something?
Lu Yin immediately left for the monitoring room.
The monitoring room wasn't accessible to just anyone, but Lu Yin moved unimpeded. His status on the Perpetual One was second only to Lulu Mebius and Mira, even above that of Xichen Maldo.
"Show me all the footage from the battle on Tianzhu," Lu Yin ordered unceremoniously.
The people in the monitoring room were first stunned, then obeyed.
At the same time, Xichen Maldo, Tolle Oona, and Shalash Tree received messages that Lu Yin was in the monitoring room.
Xichen Maldo was surprised but didn't interfere. He had already instructed that Lu Yin could do whatever he wanted as long as it wasn't excessive.
Watching the footage carefully, Lu Yin focused on Liu Shaoge. Gradually, his expression changed from surprise to wariness.
The screen showed the scene where he used a Beast Claw attack to repel Liu Shaoge. This scene should have been ordinary, but if one watched the moments leading up to the attack, they would notice Liu Shaoge's intentions. Liu Shaoge was deliberately getting injured. With his strength, he wasn't incapable of fighting back but chose not to. It seemed like he intentionally got hurt. Why?
Liu Shaoge had aligned himself with Qing Yu. If Qing Yu got hurt in the battle and Liu Shaoge remained unscathed, how would Qing Yu view him? Even if scolded for being foolish, Liu Shaoge had to show his loyalty, even if it meant taking a potentially lethal blow from Lu Yin. This was Liu Shaoge.
Lu Yin's eyes grew wary. This person was ruthless to others and even more so to himself. Such a person was truly troublesome.
No wonder Mira appreciated Liu Shaoge. This man was meticulous, capable of enduring what others couldn't, never standing out but never fading into obscurity. Every action was perfectly timed; if he had to get hurt, he would get hurt. His intellect far surpassed that of Zhang Dingtian and Bai Xue.
Lu Yin had a feeling that such a person wouldn't be weak anywhere. In the future, their paths would inevitably cross.
"Well, there's plenty of time," Lu Yin murmured to himself.
The people in the monitoring room occasionally glanced at Lu Yin. During the trial, when they saw Lu Yin capturing so many students, even daring to catch Ras and Jenny Oona, they thought he was doomed. Unexpectedly, he turned into an imperial prince. Such an experience was too miraculous, and they had always been curious about Lu Yin.
"Show me the surveillance across the Perpetual One," Lu Yin said calmly.
An older officer hesitated, "The surveillance across the Perpetual One can only be viewed with the captain's permission."
Lu Yin spoke again, "Don't make me repeat myself. As the King of Zishan, I order you."
The officer hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth, "Play it."
Instantly, screens around them lit up, showing scenes from various parts of the Perpetual One.
Lu Yin smiled faintly. He wasn't interested in the surveillance but wanted to test the power of his title. It turned out the title of King of Zishan was even more useful than he had imagined.
Huh? Just as Lu Yin was about to leave, he saw Xu San being beaten on one of the screens.
Lu Yin's eyes grew cold, and he turned to leave.
On the second floor of the living quarters, a few students were holding Xu San tightly. "You're just a native. Don't think you can be equal to us just because you're on the Perpetual One. Natives will always be trash. Understand?" Wilo shouted, eyes flashing with murderous intent.
Xu San's face was bruised, and he remained silent.
Wilo snorted, "Let's go."
Xu San coughed, keeping his head down, not daring to resist.
Occasionally, other students passed by, giving Xu San mocking looks but not intervening.
It's common for people from trial planets who join the empire to encounter such situations. It's very normal. Wilo wasn't too excessive, respecting Lu Yin's face; he didn't dare go too far, just a simple beating out of dislike.
Suddenly, someone blocked their way.
Wilo looked up to see Zhang Dingtian.
"Get lost," Wilo barked.
Zhang Dingtian drew his long knife, pointing it at Wilo, "Apologize."
Wilo's eyes changed, then he laughed, "Hillbilly, do you know where you are? Dare to draw your weapon, you're courting death."
As he spoke, a squad of soldiers appeared, surrounding Zhang Dingtian, "Put down your weapon immediately. Fighting is prohibited on the ship."
Zhang Dingtian coldly replied, "They just attacked someone. Why didn't you stop them?"
"Once more, put down your weapon immediately," the soldiers shouted.
Xu San quickly ran to Zhang Dingtian's side, "I'm fine, let them go."
Zhang Dingtian narrowed his eyes, gripping his knife tighter.
More and more students gathered to watch, many of whom were delighted. They were the unlucky ones caught on Earth, and seeing Earthlings in trouble made them happy.
At this moment, Xia Luo appeared, suddenly passing through the crowd and appearing in front of Wilo. He kneed Wilo in the stomach, causing him to scream and curl up in pain.
Everyone was surprised, including Zhang Dingtian.
Xia Luo turned to Zhang Dingtian with a faint smile, "How about now?"
Zhang Dingtian sheathed his knife, "Thank you."
Xia Luo looked at the soldiers, "Reasonable force. You can leave now."
The soldiers gave Xia Luo a deep look, then warned Zhang Dingtian before leaving.
Wilo kept coughing, glaring at Xia Luo. But facing Xia Luo's cold gaze, he had to lower his head, "Let's go," he said, leaving with the students.
Zhang Dingtian glanced at Xia Luo again, then left without a word.
Just after they left, Lu Yin arrived.
"Boss, he helped us," Xu San said to Lu Yin.
Lu Yin nodded, "Thank you, Brother Xia."
Xia Luo warmly replied, "You're welcome. I just didn't like those people. I have things to do, so I'll leave now."
Lu Yin thanked him again, watching Xia Luo leave.
After Xia Luo left, Lu Yin looked at Xu San, "Why did they target you?"
Xu San shook his head, "I don't know. I just came out to get some food, and they showed up, saying they didn't like me."
Lu Yin's eyes flickered. Didn't like him? Wilo couldn't be unaware that Xu San was his subordinate, yet he dared to make a move. What did this mean? As a student, he wouldn't have the courage to provoke Lu Yin, the King of Zishan, unless some factions within the Great Yu Empire were already moving against him.
Lu Yin was certain that his every move was being recorded and sent back to the imperial capital. Any minor incident would be magnified by some, tied to his character, intellect, morality, etc. All these could be future ammunition against him.
Wilo was the first wave of provocations. There would be a second, third, until those factions felt it was enough to take a break.
"I heard something interesting just happened. It's a pity I missed it," Yin said, appearing out of nowhere, smiling.
Lu Yin sent Xu San away, then looked at Yin, "What do you want to see?"
Yin smiled, "I wanted to see someone's conflicted expression. Whether they'd strike and be criticized, or endure and be repeatedly provoked. Truly interesting."
"Which type do you think I am?" Lu Yin asked calmly.
"I don't know," Yin replied casually.
Lu Yin didn't have time to argue. He needed to think about his position as King of Zishan within the Great Yu Empire and do some research.
"Don't you want to chat? I know quite a bit about the Zishan family that might help you," Yin said, looking at Lu Yin with a smile.
Lu Yin turned back, "What do you know?"
Yin shrugged, "Nothing much. Just some old news from hundreds of years ago. Like the old subordinates of the Zishan family, the unique cuisine they created, the combat techniques of the Zishan family, and the marriage alliance between the Zishan and Yushan families."
Marriage alliance? Lu Yin felt he had heard something significant, "What marriage alliance? Explain."
