Chapter 68 - Lu Yin and Yin

Yin's lips curled up as he enviously looked at Lu Yin. "Kid, you're really lucky. You get to enjoy the shade from the trees planted by those before you, haha."

Lu Yin stared at Yin.

Yin laughed for a while before saying, "The Zishan family had two marriage promises. The first was with the Oona family, made by the previous head of the Oona family and the Zishan family. The second was with the Yushan family, the imperial family of the Great Yu Empire. It was a promise between the Immortal Yushan and the Immortal Zishan. These promises should have been fulfilled long ago, but due to the death of the Immortal Zishan, they've been delayed until now. Logically, with the fall of the Zishan family, these promises should have vanished. But since you appeared as the sole heir of the Zishan family, these marriage promises naturally belong to you. I'm quite envious."

Lu Yin raised an eyebrow and frowned. "Promises from hundreds of years ago shouldn't count anymore."

Yin sneered. "Hundreds of years ago? Is that a long time? The lifespan of those who roam the stars is generally over five hundred years. Do you know how long the Immortal Yushan has reigned? Eight hundred years. A promise from hundreds of years ago is just part of his earlier life and not considered distant. Except for the Immortal Zishan, everyone who made those promises is still alive and well."

Lu Yin's eyes flickered in contemplation, feeling a bit troubled. He had thought being a leisurely prince would be simple, but it turned out to be quite complicated with a marriage agreement involving the royal family. He had learned that the Immortal Yushan, the iron-blooded emperor, valued promises highly. This marriage agreement might not be canceled.

"You have more to consider. The Zishan family once controlled nearly half of the Great Yu Empire's military power. Although the Zishan family perished, many of their former subordinates are still alive, like Xichen Maldo. The Maldo family once belonged to the Zishan family," Yin said.

"And who else?" Lu Yin asked.

Yin's eyes shifted. "There are quite a few, but why should I tell you?"

"You've said so much already. What's your condition? Speak," Lu Yin said calmly.

Yin's lips curled up, his eyes fixed on Lu Yin. "Have you picked up something recently?"

Lu Yin's eyes flickered. "No."

Yin casually said, "No need to deny it. I can sense it. It's in your Void Ring."

"Then tell me what it is," Lu Yin said flatly.

Yin shook his head with a creepy smile, pointing to his eyes. "Red."

Lu Yin narrowed his eyes. "Is it yours?"

"Our first meeting wasn't a coincidence. Although the things we seek are different, their locations are the same," Yin said.

"I can return it to you," Lu Yin offered.

Yin turned to look into the distance. "No need, you keep it. It will be useful in the future."

"It's of no use to me."

"That's because you don't know what it represents."

"Did your assassination of Zhang Dingtian in the capital have anything to do with this thing?"

"Do you really want to know?" Yin looked at Lu Yin, smiling like a fox.

Lu Yin said in a deep voice, "The first time I saw you, I saw a Corpse King. The second time, there was also a Corpse King. You assassinated Zhang Dingtian and destroyed the thermal weapons arsenal because Zhang Dingtian ordered the eradication of the corpse tide with thermal weapons. What is your connection to the Corpse King?"

Yin made a shushing gesture. "Don't speak nonsense. How could I be connected to the Corpse King? That's just a failed product of planetary evolution trials, unrelated to me. At most, I'm just a transporter."

Lu Yin was puzzled. There were too many things in the universe he couldn't understand.

"Classmate, you and I are actually similar people. I can sense it, which is why I approached you. Don't worry, I'll help you," Yin said, smiling at Lu Yin.

"Until I reach a certain position and help you in return?" Lu Yin said calmly.

Yin laughed. "I knew you were smart. Mutual benefit, neither of us will lose."

Lu Yin sneered. "I don't even know your identity. Why should I cooperate with you?"

Yin shrugged. "You can refuse, but I believe in the future you'll be my best partner." With that, Yin turned and left, throwing a piece of paper to Lu Yin before leaving. It contained a string of numbers and some names and positions within the Great Yu Empire.

"The universe is very cruel. Without you, Earth's future would be bleak. Think of Qing Yu. You couldn't kill him in the end. Why? In the universe, survival always means thinking of yourself," Yin's voice faded away.

Lu Yin exhaled, looked at the note, and put it away.

Making deals with the devil never brings benefits. Lu Yin firmly believed in this saying. But between him and Yin, who was the devil? Only the future could tell.

What Lu Yin wanted now was to stir things up, the bigger, the better. He needed to understand what his title as King of Zishan could achieve in the Great Yu Empire before reaching the Imperial Capital. Otherwise, he'd find it hard to move there. If someone dared to act, they'd better be prepared to lose a hand.

Boom!

The door of the bar on the Perpetual One was shattered again, attracting everyone's attention. Ever since the student trial ended, the bar door had almost never been intact.

Lu Yin walked into the bar, looking directly at Wilo sitting in a corner.

Wilo's expression changed upon seeing Lu Yin, and he quickly got up to escape.

Lu Yin raised his hand, and a cracking palm strike sent students flying, smashing tables and chairs. In the next moment, a blast of air hit Wilo.

Wilo was terrified, raising his hand to block. With a bang, he was slammed into the wall, spitting blood and gritting his teeth as he glared at Lu Yin.

No one dared intervene, not even the patrolling soldiers who happened to be there.

Everyone in the bar immediately backed away.

On the second floor, a private room opened, and Huo Xiaoling and Yan Gang walked out, looking down in surprise. What was this guy doing now?

Lu Yin slowly approached Wilo, his eyes cold.

Wilo looked at the approaching Lu Yin in fear and shouted, "What are you doing? This is a ship, not a trial. You can't use force."

Lu Yin grabbed Wilo by the neck, lifting him overhead, his voice icy. "Who told you to trouble my people? Speak."

Wilo's face turned red. He was one of the academy's strongest students, but facing Lu Yin now, he had no power to resist and didn't want to. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Lu Yin sneered. "I know someone is behind you. You probably think I won't kill you. Let's see. The person behind you is probably hoping I kill you. Think carefully."

Wilo's eyes changed. He was indeed instructed to provoke Lu Yin, to let the people of the Imperial Capital see what kind of person the so-called King of Zishan was. If Lu Yin killed him now, it would be a thousand times better than not killing him. It would paint the King of Zishan as brutal and foolish, make his family hostile to him, and unite more people against him. The person behind this would never save him.

Wilo figured it out and immediately said, "I'll talk. It was Ras. Ras told me to provoke you."

Lu Yin threw Wilo aside and left the bar.

Yan Gang watched Lu Yin's disappearing figure and sneered. "Foolish, clearly being schemed against yet daring to act out. This guy is arrogant."

Huo Xiaoling's eyes flickered as she opened her personal terminal, contacting someone.

Meanwhile, Xichen Maldo, Tolle Oona, and Shalash Tree all received messages.

"What? He went to find Ras? Stop him immediately," Xichen Maldo shouted angrily, feeling stifled. "Foolish, too foolish. How can he do this now?"

Shalash Tree sneered. "Even worse than I thought. Has being titled King of Zishan made him arrogant? Poor country bumpkin."

Tolle Oona shook his head in disappointment. "The young lady must not marry such a person."

No matter what others thought, Lu Yin had already arrived outside Ras's room. He flicked his fingers, shattering the corner surveillance camera, then kicked the door open.

Ras seemed to have been waiting for him, a sneer on his face, yet he maintained a respectful demeanor. "What brings the King of Zishan here?"

Lu Yin said nothing, stepping forward and kicking.

Ras didn't expect Lu Yin to be so reckless and instinctively dodged, only to be met by Lu Yin's Beast Claw. The seven-form Beast Claw's power exceeded Ras's five-form Beast Claw. Ras couldn't avoid it, his body was slammed out of the room, crashing into the ship's metal frame, spitting blood, and shouting angrily. "You dare harm me, you native!"

Lu Yin reached out to grab Ras. Ras roared, pulling out an energy gun from his Void Ring and firing. Lu Yin easily dodged. While this energy gun could harm average Explorers, it was ineffective against Lu Yin, whose combat power crossed realms, rivaling that of a Fusion Realm expert.

Seeing Lu Yin getting closer, Ras's expression
