Chapter 42 - 42

All three inside the magic barrier seemed helpless against the current events taking place.

Those hit by beams died unless they retaliated quickly or managed to avoid being hit in their vitals.

Their numbers were reduced but that brought on their retaliation.

Someone ordered shouting in a loud voice. "They are related to ALCHEMI! I cannot identify them so they must be new or a part of a hidden group being nurtured. Eliminate them! No need for concealment!"

They planned to eliminate and then move sites later to avoid detection.

Many blasts were sent toward Gene who was hit occasionally.

Each time her body healed up, she adjusted her stance to avoid the next ones.

She could be seen dancing among the various ki blasts and beams while sending out some of her own completely outnumbered.

Many mutants surrounded her going in for the kill using all kinds of techniques and weapons.

Such a scene was difficult to watch.

Toki felt helpless but remembered something her teacher taught her in the past.

Holly. "The mana skin technique is a way to temper magic developed by Dr Blush. It works as a protective wave that protects the body too. As for the next stage... I think you will get it soon now that you have learned your space-freezing magic. It should prove useful in times of crisis."

Most magic users needed time to cast spells but there existed a way to reduce such restraints.

Toki gathered her magic digging deep into her experience trying to bring her technique forth. "Magic Zone!"

Mana Zone, a technique to manipulate the energy in the surrounding area.

The surrounding energy could be used to increase the size, number, and range of spells within a range allowing them to be used normally. It can be used to sharpen detection and heighten reaction time too.

The magic spread out around Toki assisting her control over the barrier. "Go all out guys! Do all you can!"

They would not need to avoid making any mistakes damaging the barrier after she could make adjustments.

Vasili removed his goggles showing a red eye. "Got it!"
