A little earlier in the day located on another island further away, there was a teenage female who was dressed in casual attire.
She had an average height and build with toned muscles that were hidden beneath her clothes.
She was observing her surroundings while listening to the earpiece in her ears while answering occasionally.
She observed someone further away who was behaving strangely and then walked into a nearby store. "I request to take down the target. Please father."
Director Hogan replied. "No Rayne... I mean Agent Rayne. Stepping out will only risk exposing you. Stand down."
Agent Rayne continued to watch her target but she witnessed too much to let her stay still.
Her tone was defiant as she spoke before turning off the earpiece. "I cannot do that director."
Director Hogan erupted in anger once the communication cut off. "Damn! She never learns!"
The man who was her target had changed into a pyro-style costume and was heading toward a bank.
From her monitoring of him, his intent was very clear. "Just another one misusing their powers."
She ran up behind him and pointed a gun towards the back of his head but it was too late.
Flames came from the hands of the man and flew towards her.
The gun in her hands became too hot to hold after it was introduced to the hot flames.
What was surprising was that while her outer clothes and gun were affected, her body seemed fine.
Her suit underneath was resistant to the flames but there was something very unusual about her.
Rayne reached out towards the flames and kept walking forward. "Not today buddy!"
The surroundings were burning up all around her from the fire that was being recklessly wielded by the pyro man yet where Rayne had stood, it seemed to dissipate.
A serious expression appeared on her face as she pushed through the flames and appeared in front of him. "Negation beats Pyromancy. Sorry!"
She pushed through the flames and sent a strong punch toward the stomach of the pyro before putting him in a sleeper hold. Snap! Backup soon arrived to clean up the mess.
