Chapter 18 - 18

Rayne left in pursuit of clues while listening in for more possible tasks to complete but she did not realize that she was being watched by someone else the whole time.

A red-haired cat girl was sitting on a nearby rooftop as she watched her movements below. "Hmm..~ This girl is quite interesting. ALCHEMI will take a liking to someone with her capabilities but... this may be quite the opportunity for me too."

She was Lexi and she was once a thief who had a run-in with ALCHEMI but it ended up with her having to join them after they noticed her talents.

She was bound by a contract like many others in the organization and could never leave or betray them.

It came with perks that all members gained access to so it was not so bad.

One serum helped to reconstruct the genes to better suit a certain purpose.

Such serums available were focused on superpower, warrior, mage, and other available paths to help grant each person potential in one or more areas.

Another serum helped to bring out a person's hidden potential and awaken other hidden qualities they had buried deep within similar to how Animorphaline allowed the human population to change into a monster/beastman race and each individual changed differently than others based on certain factors.

The potential of Lexi was awakened to best suit her and it brought out her natural reflexes and agility which was further complimented by her catgirl awakening. 'Perhaps this girl may be able to be of help to me.'

Meanwhile, back at the training area, Gene formed a heart shape with her hands and shouted. "Love Love Beam!"

It had only been a short while yet she managed to produce a Ki Blast which shot into the nearby mountain.

Pandora seemed tired from constantly being surprised by Gene's fast growth and learning speed.

She did not want to but she had no choice but to consult others for help.

She took out a phone and made a call. "Hello? It is Pandora. Flake and Shard... I need your help with this kid."

Flake. "So the wolf got in touch."

Shard. "Hello, dumb wolf!"
