The Chef x The Movie Emperor
Nix's P.O.V.:
"So, how do I look? Is it too much? I know I have to change into my chef's checks and coat later but for now I wanted to sport "my new look" so that people can start getting used to it before The Chef and The Celebrity starts to film and air." Phoenix nervously asked Solaris as he shifted his weight from his left foot to his right, slightly jutting his hip out.
Solaris, who had been laying comfortably on the bed raised his head to take a good look at his Mama Phoenix. He could not help the tickle he got in his belly as his heart seemed to skip a beat. He knew that his Mama would look better once he stopped wearing those awful over size, baggy, worn-out clothing that caused the eye to pass over them without really noticing them or the wear, but this was beyond even his imagination. It was made only better by the new hair style.
Gone was the long hair that the original Beyol Bong Tae-Hwan used as a curtain to cover his face and has now been replaced with a half up half down hair style. He had the upper half in a voluminous bun with curtain bangs that framed his delicate face, emphasizing his high prominent cheek bones and sharp jaw line.
"As always Mama Phoenix looks amazing! You really can pull of any style even oversize sweats. Everyone will be blown away and I bet most if not all of your classmates won't even recognize you! But, but Mama... what about your culinary arts classes? You cannot not have your hair down like that in the kitchen, the head chef will have a fit. Well, that is unless you plan to wear a hair net." Solaris asked in a serious tone. Though he thought his Mama looked breath taking like this he also did not want him reprimanded by the head chef. She was a retired Lieutenant in the Royal Star Naval Fleet, which was the fleet that traveled with the royal family, so she had zero tolerance for anything that did not strictly adhere to the rules set out for them. She ran her kitchen and lecture hall as if she were commanding and teaching in the military still.
"Oh, do not worry about that I already thought about that. I will braid my lower half, pin it up to my bun then wrap the braid around the bun before pining it in place. I will then do the same with my bangs on each side then pin the braids up to crown my head so that they come together at the back of my bun. It will look elegant, neat and won't allow for any stray hairs to fall. It is much better than a slicked back tight bun, don't ya think?" Phoenix asked with a smile, so bright Solaris thought he needed sunglasses.
The little phoenix-dragon could only bob his head yes as he was too stunned by the image his Mama's words painted in his mind. Phoenix would indeed look neat, elegant and fashionable while still meeting the strict rules and regulations the head chef set. Solaris could not wait to see people's reactions to his Mama's hair once he braids it, for in this world, day and age no one braids their hair, nor do they know how to since it is considered a fashion from ancient Earth.
When Solaris finally regained his ability to speak, he tentatively reminded Nix, "You should take a solid white and a solid black shirt along with a pair of comfortable shorts to wear underneath your chef uniform later."
"That would be wise, I know I have a spatial ring, but can I just get things from the nursery and act as if they came from my ring? It seems bothersome just to move things back and forth for most items. Though I will keep some things in my ring so that if someone gets their hand on it won't be empty. Though I do not intend for anyone to get a hold of it, you never know." he asked but he already had a strong feeling what the answer would be.
"Well of course, that is as easy as breathing now that I have regained all my power. I can also do a lot more, but we do not have time for that now. You need to get going or you will miss the P.T. Ship (public transport) and you will be late for class." Solaris proudly stated.
Glancing at the time Phoenix felt the urgency in getting out the door, he just had to collect Beyol Joon first. He quickly grabbed his sunglasses and a black face mask in case the public attention gets to be too much and hurried to open his bedroom door.
Satisfied with his appearance and Solaris's approval Nix grabbed his personal terminal, I.D. and sunglasses then headed out of his room. Solaris turned on his cloaking as he still has yet to tell his Mama that only he can see him. It was simply too fun this way, not to mention, it allowed him to keep a better eye on things.
Once in the hallway Nix met up with Beyol Joon, who was just a dumbstruck as Solaris had been, over Nix's attire and over all took. Phoenix chuckled and playfully teased his little brother about it. "What? Do I look that bad or something? Or is it that the cat got your tongue?"
Snapping back to his senses Beyol Joon hurriedly try to clear up this misunderstanding, his Hyung looked anything but bad. He was simply awe struck; he knew Nix was beautiful, but he did not realize just how much. Not to mention he could not recall him ever looking so dashing and refined as he had only sported oversized clothes and sweats for the past decade.
"Hyung, you look... amazing. Your beauty really is on a whole new level. How am I supposed to keep everyone at bay when you look like this? Both alphas and betas will go nuts just to stare at you." Beyol Joon said with both admiration and grumpiness. This in turn made Nix laugh heartily and he linked his arm with Beyol Joon's. "Come on now, stop exaggerating or else we will late. You need to get to your morning swim practice, and I need to catch my morning ship if we are both to make it on time." With that they headed out together arms still linked.

Beyol Bong Tae-Hwan always walked Beyol Joon to school as it was only slightly out of the way to the nearest subway station. The original cherished the time he got to spend with his little brother. He took great pride in being the one to take care of him for a change. Phoenix found that he really enjoyed this time together as well as giving them a chance to talk and bond. As much as he was enjoying it he could not help but think it would be wise and perhaps best for him to invest in a personal ship for the family along with a hover van that could fit the whole family.
'Solaris, I think I should look into getting a personal shit for the family, maybe one with auto piolet too. I think it would make things a lot easier on everyone. I also...' That thought was caught off just then a small group of alpha teens stopped talking and not only shamelessly gawked at Phoenix, but even took a few steps towards them as if they had been bewitched.
Beyol Joon tsked in annoyance and pulled Nix closer to him in a protective jester. "Don't mind them Hyung I got you. Although if you have one you might ought to put on a face mask and maybe even some oversized sunglasses while you are at it, before you leave for the terminal. I hate that I cannot take you all the way to school myself." Beyol Joon grumbled while sending glares at the group of alpha teens.
"Awe, maknae. You are too cute you know that? Thank you for looking out for me, but I promise I can take care of myself. If it makes you feel better, I did in fact bring my dark sunglasses and a black face mask that I will put on before I part with you. I also even have my scent blockers with me. Besides they are just looking, it is not as if any of them are approaching me so chill a bit, ok?"
Upon hearing this and seeing his precious, pure and naive little hyung, Beyol Joon could not help but puff up and bristle. "Yes, looking is indeed ok but that is not looking that is ogling and is sleezy and they just one breath away from cat calling you and I swear to the heavens if they so much as utter one cat call to you I will put them in the ground!" Beyol Joon said with a voice raised enough for the youths to hear but not loud enough to disturb the area.
"Hyung you really have no self-awareness, do you? I swear if Mom and Dad had not put you in Taekwondo since you were 5 years old, I would not allow you out of the house." Beyol Joon said in both a hoity and whiny voice at the same time.
Phoenix was so stunned he stopped walking and just looked at this little brother of his.
"Beyol Joon, you need to stop. If I did not know any better, I would think you have a brother complex on me. Now, I am a grown man, I can handle myself even if I am an omega and I do not take extra risk and will be taking more regarding my safety for now on, ok? You can stop worrying about me now and be happy I have fans. Be supportive of me the way I always have of you."
Phoenix meant that too, knows just how close these two are and he has always been his little brother's number one fan and plans to continue but he wants the same in return. He knows he is being selfish, but he cannot help it. He finally has a family who is not only alive but loves him and siblings he is as close to as best friends would be.
At that Beyol Joon grabbed Phoenix's hands and yelled out OF COURSE in his moment of anxiety and trying to reassure his brother that he absolutely supports him! He never wants Phoenix to think he does not support him. He is Phoenix's biggest fan. He even has an anonymous fan account just so that he can follow him as a fan and fan out without him knowing.
Beyol Joon thought he was busted when Phoenix made that comment about him having a brother complex… Beyol Joon knew that if he ever found out that he did he would never forgive him, and their relationship would forever be damaged. It is not that he wants to sleep with his brother or anything sexual like that… it, it is just complicated.
Beyol Joon knows his feelings go beyond that of a typical sibling relationship but maybe it is due to him being a dominant omega? After all, they are meant to attract everyone as well as make everyone want to take care of them and protect them, even betas are drawn to them and can smell a dominant omegas pheromone. He should probably talk with a therapist about it all before his hyung really finds out.
What Beyol Joon does not know is that his Phoenix already knows, he saw the way Joon blushed all the way to his ears when he mentioned him possibly having a brother complex. He chose to ignore what he saw and glossed over it as if he never saw it. The original Beyol Bong Tae-Hwan trusted his brother and with everything Phoenix knows about Beyol Joon, he trusts him as well.
Phoenix also does not believe Joon has a true complex, just complex emotions about it all. Beyol Joon really is a good kid, and he only wants the best for his little brother.
Before the boys noticed they were already at Beyol Joon's high school. Phoenix nudged Beyol Joon gently with his elbow to pull him out of his reverie. Beyol Joon was so deep in his thoughts that he completely forgot where he was and that he was not alone. With a not so small, startled jump back he let out a loud startled gasp.
He had to use every last ounce of his mental fortitude to not laugh out loud. Seriously how can he be so cute? How is it no one has ever managed to snatch up Beyol Joon? Beyol Joon quickly got a hold of himself and decided to play it off by acting cool, also known as acting as if it never happened but he could not look Phoenix in the face. Noticing that the tips of Beyol Joon's ears were red he decided to tease him a bit.
Nix - "Maknae, what had you so lost in your thoughts? We you perhaps having a lewd daydream? Oh, was it your girlfriend? Boyfriend? Crush? Huh? Huh? You can tell Hyung if you need me to be your wingman than you got it. Also, it is important to remember to always play it safe" Said with a knowing look at the end.
Beyol Joon - "What?! No, no of course not! Wha What do you take me for a pervert? I was just reviewing for my math test in my head. I am single by the way, I even told you this earlier, remember? Also, there is no reason to tell me about using protection as there is no one to use protection with, as I have said I am single."
He could not take it anymore and burst out laughing. Beyol Joon who was happy that he was able to think so fast on his feet and came up with the studding lie, thank you math test, found his brain to go haywire again as he felt mesmerized by Nix's beautiful smile and melodious laugh, it truly was a sight to behold. Beyol Joon was not the only one to be mesmerized by Phoenix's laugh and heart pounding smile a couple small group of by of students standing near and in front of the front gate also found themselves mesmerized by the beautiful melodious laughter. They all just stood and watched Nix as he genuinely laughed until his eyes glistened with unshed tears.
*maknae is the Korean word for youngest and here Nix is using it as a term of affection or like a nickname depending on how you think of it. = )
