Rosa spent the next hour with Princess Eveline enjoying tea and tarts while recounting a one-sided story of the recent events that brought her and Duke Kael Dragomir closer. She detailed everything that transpired between them, carefully omitting any mention of Desire, while portraying Kael as a hero who came to her rescue and ensuring to protect his true identity as the Master of an information guild.
Eveline proved to be a good listener, barely saying a word but letting her expressive eyes do all the talking. As Rosa ended her long monologue, she was sure about two things: first, that Eveline had no idea who Kael truly was, and second, that Eveline genuinely cared for her brother.
