Anita's eyes widened as she read the text on Angel's phone. Her heart raced with a mix of emotions - shock, anger, and hurt. Rachel's words were like a punch to the gut, leaving her breathless.
"Angel, what is this?" Anita demanded, her voice shaking with emotion. "What happened between you and Rachel last night?"
Angel's eyes snapped up, her face pale. "Anita, I can explain..."
But Anita didn't want to hear it. She felt betrayed, deceived. The text was proof that Angel had been lying to her, that she was still involved with Rachel in some way.
"Explain what, Angel?" Anita's voice rose. "How you could kiss her, touch her, and make love to her,after everything we've shared? How could you do that to me?"
Angel reached out, but Anita pushed her away. "Don't touch me, Angel. Just tell me the truth. Are you still in love with Rachel?"
