Talon hesitated for just a moment, then took a deep breath. "This wasn't how I wanted to bring it up," he admitted, his tone laced with tension. "But we need to talk about Stella."
"What about Stella?" Zane asked, his voice low as he focused the fullness of his gaze on Talon.
Talon met his gaze, unflinching. "I was involved with her," he confessed, the weight of the words hanging between them like a ticking bomb. He wouldn't have mentioned it at all, if her death hadn't opened a can of worms he'd rather leave closed.
Only a few people knew that he was involved with Stella and Xion wasn't above using the secret as a knife on his neck to use him against Zane, like he did before which was why he had to tell Zane before things escalated.
