'Wha-what?' Tahra internally screamed, doing her best to fight the surging panic she felt while desperately hoping that the only person she was about to see wasn't the Alpha, especially after being sure that it wasn't the stuck-up middle aged mn she had been in the car with.
'It's a good thing I havn't broken my bond fully with Zane!' Tahra thought knowing that she wouldn't be totally affected by the so-called mate she was about to meet.
"Hurry up!" The man she came with barked at her, and with all the worrisome thoughts flowing through her mind, Tahra unconsciously did as she was told.
Moving faster, curious to see who the goddess thought would be best for her after she fucked up the first arrangement.
Soon, walking behind the man that brough her, Tahra finally caught a glimpse of a tall, broad shouldered man who sat alone with a woman by his side.
One that smiled straight at him with loving eyes.
'She's definately too young to be his mother!' Tahra thought only for her eyebrows to shoot up the second in shock the moment she could see the Alpha's face in all his glory.
Unlike Zane who had dark hair and blue eyes, his eyes were darker almost like the night and his hair was almost as red as blood, a colour she would have previously assumed couldn't fit anyone until she fixed her eyes on the Alpha of 'A' Territory.
"We greet the alpha!" The middle aged man said bowing his head a little to show respect, something Tahra also did, a second later after realizing that she was also joining the pack.
But her head was still lowered, her eyes fixed to the ground when she felt a intense gaze on her face, one that made her not want to lift her head to look at him, worried at what she saw even as a loud voice in her mind refused to shut up.
"He's the one! ITS HIM! I'm sure of it!" Her wolf howled over and over again.
"Break the remnants of the bond you have with the previous one, this one looks better!"
Indeed, Tahra was stunned by how attractive the Alpha looked but regardless she was confident that Zane was still a little more attractive, and charming even in aura.
"You don't look special for a disposed Luna!" Were the first words she heard him say right before he turned his head to speak to the man beside her.
"Garvi, I hope she gave you no problems!"
"No, Alpha Arshe. I was a little surprised when I saw her appear just as you said!" The man named Garvi responded, lowering his head a little more as he spoke, something that made Tahra wonder if it was merely out of respect or fear.
"My territory's the closest to her Pack. Of course she'll come here. You can raise your head!" Alpha Arshe ordered, which made Tahra frown with no choice but to do as she was told.
Stunned, to find herself staring into dark eyes that seemed to instinctively pull her in, with the voice in her head being the only thing to jerk her back to reality the second she heard it speak.
"Mate! Mate! Claim him!"
Worried that he might see through her thoughts she immediately lowered her gaze ever so slightly and fixed it on his nose.
"She looks like a troublemaker Ahshe, do we really have to accept her?" The woman seated beside him suddenly whined. stretching her hands to intertwine them with the Alpha's own.
Tahra not surprised to find out that Ahshe already had a Luna.
'He really is attractive!' Tahra thought to herself, before lowering her gaze even more. The last thing she wanted was to come between them.
"Of course we do, Marina! How can I bear to send my mate away?" Ahshe said loudly enough for everyone there to hear, which completely shocked Tahra to the core.
The last thing she expected him to do was reveal it, especially with his woman by his side.
And true to her expectation, she wasn't surprised to see Marina get up to rain hell down on her, as she immediately jumped to her feet.
"Wha-what! She's your mate!" She yelled at the top of her voice staring daggers at Tahra who continued to lower her gaze not daring to open her mouth to speak.
Fearing that anything she said would only serve to irritate the howling woman who had looked so gentle a few seconds ago.
"I WANT HER DEAD!" She went ahead to scream and this time, Tahra could no longer keep quiet as her head unconsciously moved to look up with a stunned expression on her face.
"I never want to see her again!" The killing aura around her thick enough for Tahra to understand that the woman wasn't kidding and meant every single word that came out of her mouth.
"Marina!" Ahshe sighed trying to calm her down with a wild smile at the edge of his lips one that showed that he found the whole situation comical.
Which only lowered Tahra's view of him even more.
"I want her out Ahshe! I won't have it any other--" she continued to belt out only to jerk back in fright and shut up the second Arhse spoke again, his voice much louder and fiercer than before.
"SHUT UP MARINA!" Gone was the easy going aura he previously had around him as he also got to his feet, staring coldly at her in a way that Marina could no longer continue to scream.
Right before he stretched out his hand and pulled her closer to himself with his arm around her waist.
"If I wanted her I would have hid the fact that she was my mate from you? Do you really think I would want a rejected mate?" Ahshe said, nuzzling his nose in the crook of her neck as Tahra silently watched with Garvi by her side.
"She's nothing to me! I just find her more attractive than most women because of the bond, nothing more. Most importantly, my bond with her would help me keep tabs on her," He continued.
But as much as Tahra tried to pretend that she wasn't hurt by his words, she could feel her eyes get a little watery as she listened to her to- be -mate speak.
She hadn't gotten over the first one and the second one was worse, insulting her to her face in front of his Luna.
Tahra was extremely hurt, but she tightened her fists together and swore that no one there would make her cry.
'Whoever's in charge of choosing divine mates must be blind,' Tahra thought to herself wondering why she had the worst pick of the lot.
