Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: JUNGLE ADVENTURE

-FEAR

After the Panan tribe gathered, they walked out of the forest. Along the way, one child found a ground hawk that he wanted to keep as a pet, so he secretly took it and put it in his bag. While walking, the Panan tribe encountered many animals behaving strangely, unlike usual, causing a deep sense of fear among them.

Grandmother Chief: "Don't look at them, they won't harm us."

Everyone: "Yes, Grandmother Chief."

They walked past many strange animals until they almost reached the edge of the forest, where in a field there were large machines and human organs scattered everywhere. Most horrifying of all was a spear standing with human heads at the tip. People were nauseous, some quickly covered the children's eyes, feeling scared.

Grandmother Chief: "Don't be afraid, keep walking and don't look anywhere. Let's just pass through."

Everyone: "Yes..."

Some almost collapsed but forced themselves to keep walking. At the end of the spear, a giant gorilla and giant orangutan stood staring at them. Suddenly, some giant mosquitoes wanted to attack the humans. Everyone was shocked and started sweating profusely. Then, the giant orangutan raised its hand; all the giant mosquitoes stopped attacking. The Panan tribe continued walking out of the forest.

-QUARANTINE

After Dr. Muller's murder, Sugi immediately contacted Captain Hasan to explain the situation and information obtained from Dr. Muller.

Captain Hasan: Well... the situation is worse than I imagined. I will contact the higher-ups, Sugi, you go back home for now.

Sugi: Understood, Captain.

The next day, Captain Hasan received news from the superiors. Captain Hasan gathered all military personnel at headquarters.

Captain Hasan: Today there is a special operation. First, quarantine the entire Wehea forest. Second, all teams will be divided into several groups to enter and gather the data mentioned by Dr. Muller.

Everyone: Understood, Captain.

Everyone immediately moved to carry out the quarantine.

Frenz: Sugi, what happened last night? Why all of a sudden a quarantine?

Sugi: Last night, Dr. Muller was murdered.

Herman: What? Why couldn't you come to us this morning?

Sugi: I apologize, last night I contacted Captain Hasan and went straight to bed tired.

Rob: There is a significant issue, so why are we ordered to quarantine in the Wehea forest?

Sugi: Dr. Muller mentioned a deadly parasite entering animals, making them very aggressive. So, for the safety of the community, we must implement quarantine.

Eri: So it seems this issue won't be easily resolved?

Sugi: (nodding) For now, let's not dwell on it. Let's just follow orders. Let's do our best to protect the community.

Everyone nods.

CONFUSION

After Sugi left, Mr. Sugi also set off to his company. On the way to the company, in the middle of the road, they passed through the Wehea forest.

Mr. Sugi: Hmm... (What's that? A sambar deer?)

From a distance, Mr. Sugi saw a sambar deer beside the forest. Since sambar deers are nearly extinct, they are rarely seen due to hunting by the local people of Kalimantan. Mr. Sugi then got out of the car to take a closer look. Suddenly, the deer turned its scary face with a very large body towards him. Mr. Sugi was startled.

Mr. Sugi: (startled) What is that?

Feeling fear, Mr. Sugi quickly got back in the car and drove away, but the sambar deer chased after him at a high speed. Mr. Sugi had to press the gas pedal hard to keep a distance from the deer. After a moment, the sambar deer stopped and ran back into the forest.

Mr. Sugi: Well, well, what is this? (He stared blankly at the sky) Is this a dream? I haven't woken up from my dream.

After a while, Mr. Sugi focused on driving. Upon arriving at his company, he immediately contacted Sugi.

Mr. Sugi: Hello, Sugi.

Sugi: Yes, Dad. What's up?

Mr. Sugi: Today, I encountered a sambar deer beside the Wehea forest on my way to the company. The sambar deer seemed a bit strange. Its body was larger, and its face was menacing, as if it wanted to eat me alive.

Sugi: (worried) Are you still in good condition? Did the sambar deer attack you?

Mr. Sugi: No, don't worry. I'm still in good condition.

Sugi: Be more cautious when passing by there. We will also quarantine the area. Try to take a different route.

Mr. Sugi: Why quarantine? Is something happening in the Wehea forest? Take care of yourself and don't make your mother worry.

Sugi: For now, there are no issues, Dad, so don't worry. Alright, Dad. After finishing this work, I'll come home to eat.

Father Sugi: Okay. The important thing is that there are no serious issues. I'm off to work. Take good care of yourself.

Sugi: Yes, dad.
